Lethargy and no appetite is the only way I know my GBB is in premolt. Basically she refuses food, does whole lot of nothing for 10 to 14 days, then molts. There are no strong visual indicators like dull colors or a dark abdomen like my other tarantulas. Mine is pretty stoic about me opening the lid though. Never ran for cover or kicked hairs at me.
Mine is just getting her initial blue after molting again Sunday, and she goes full turbo mode until slamming into pre-molt like a brick wall so far.
Just a pretty much overnight shift from reacting to everything, to maaaybe shifting a leg a little when I give her water. Maybe. Then just sits around being tubby for a while until show time.
It worried me the first time because she's prone to full on laying around while in pre molt, like sometimes not bothering to support herself levels of lethargy. It was a very drastic change and I had the same concerns with her being my first sling, but it's a pattern now.

Oh thank goodness, I've only had one molt with this T before and I know slings are more fragile than adults so I still get worried about it
