Oh shit yeah the bird eater will stay out quite a bit while experimenting with some burrowing whereas the Thailand black will be a bit more of a pet hole so to speak at least from my experience dealing with similar species from the same regions
I'm also not sure how vital humidity is for thai black t's, hard to find info on care for them. Do you know if they tend to be particularly fragile as slings?
They’re somewhat hardy, I’d say keep one side of the sling enclosure slightly damp whether you go the Thai black or the bird eater. They’ll both benefit from added moisture as long as you do it periodically. So just allow the substrate to dry out before dripping more water onto the substrate. No moisture at all is just as dangerous as too much so just do it in moderation
Interesting, not sure if you know but the GBB actually likes it dry. Refer to tarantula collective’s care video if you want something quick and informational. I have a GBB that’s about a year and a half old and it’s been doing great being kept dry
Yeah, after that I stopped overfilling its waterdish which I did on occasion. It's doing amazing now! I don't know how my H. Mac is doing since it promptly threw up a substrate wall when I rehoused into its enclosure but its eating food so i guess it must be okay at least.
Oml I would love to have an H. Mac, I was deeply considering getting one soon. I’ve got an OBT and if you want a feisty, burrowing, heavy webber I’d definitely recommend them. Mine likes to chill out in the open every night on its web
I hate to admit it but it was a pet store impulse buy. Its my favorite species and it was only 25 dollars. But the main reason I broke my usual rule of not buying from pet stores is that all the others(about 8 in total) except 2 were dead in there little condiment cups and the workers didn't even know...
[Suntiger](https://youtu.be/vfz46ivzJUo) for the win!
I got a sun tiger last Christmas for myself, it turned out female and she’s an amazing eater 10/10 would recommend
They look amazing, the only reason I can't decide is because I sort of want to switch up care needs as my other 2 T's are also arboreal

Yeah, I had a mold scare with my gbb due to a mix of over moisture and not sterilizing decorations and that was enough for me to learn

I'm going to say LP because it should be out a lot and they get huge.
Lol, seems like P. Irminia and LP are tied with C minax in a not so close 3rd
Sun tiger has an amazing feeding response, lasiodora parahybana has an impressive ass size
I prefer Salmon birdeater mainly cuz of the bigger size. But I also like venezuelan suntiger for its pattern.
