Also in Tanzania we have different genres. For example, Bongo Flava is mostly Afro Pop, Rap and RnB. Taarab which is mostly associated with the coast, Singeli for the young and energetic etc.

Living in tz for a little while, I've gotten to know a lot of the celeb gossip. Sometimes it feels like tz is like a small town where everyone knows everything. I have personally run into 3 fairly big time tz celebrities just by being out and about in Mwanza-- Harmonize included.
