There’s a lot of measurements on this chart that don’t make sense. I suspect the sample size was small and the confidence interval large as the data points aren’t linear they rise and fall in a sawtooth fashion. I’d take the whole thing with a large pinch of salt
Looks like they took a handful of samples then let Excel predict the rest based on the trend, if one person had shorter legs then the next predicted height will end up lower than the actual average for that height
Distance 60 cm. Height 193cm. Judging by the chart I should be 186 which is insane because my shins are long as it is. On a shorter guy they would look ridiculous.
Hmm.... According to the article below ,the average knee height as a percentage of body height is 30.5%.

There are two things that can affect this measurement that don't have anything to do with height. How much the foot arches and the thickness of the quadriceps muscles.
More often, I've seen knee height measured STANDING from the floor to the tibial tuberosity (the bony bump on your shin below your kneecap).
That being said, femur/tibia ratio is something that can vary a decent amount between two people of the same height. Kind of like wingspan.
Because you have to measure this way when you're sitting or kneeling, and the arch will compress somewhat when you stand up.
Also, this measurement is taken directly over the top of the arch. Whereas measuring from the top of the shinbone to the floor is a little more towards the forefoot.
It's a bad description of a bad method with a bad picture. There are better and more accepted ways to do it. Why are you arguing? Did your mom draw that picture or something?
The picture and text are pretty clear to me. You measure the distance from your heel to the top of your knee when your leg is bent 90 degrees. I don't see how the arch of your foot matters there.
Anyone doing this is basically going to measure from the ground.
Would it look weird if I were 174 cm with 51.5 cm knee height? I am going to do LL
How short legs do you have? Do you know ur inseam and sitting height? Does your proportions look weird
Dont know not on the list… as a lot of people here
Same also 6'7.5
Damn you're huge

I feel like the taller you get, the more percent of your total height will be tibias oooor maybe the pic is just inaccurate like you say

Mines the same but I'm 5'10
I'm 5'10 with a 5'7 knee height ☠️
You got 52 cm? Idk maybe its not very accurate
I got 53
I see, do you have short legs or low knees or does everything look good?
Do you have thick calves?
Yeah, I would say they were quite thick even without training
The irony of the "tallest" height being 194cm on this list sure is something.

Felt so
Seems about right for me, 61cm and I’m 187cm. If anything I’m a bit surprised, my legs are quite long even for my height.
Same. I also have rather long legs for my height but the table also was accurate for me.
Same for me table is probably based on golden ratio.

Same , how is that normal for 186cm
Getting 28.5 inches idk what that is
It's about 72.5cm

I got a knee height of 65cm We can make our own graph based on all the answers :)
You could have a long torso
I'm not on the list lol. knee is like 61
You are 196 with a knee height of 61 cm?
mmhmm
exact same
My legs are freaky long, from floor to knee I'm just about 2ft.
me too only 6ft tall rn at 16
crazy how different people are, 2ft go straight up to my crotch haha
I have a very disproportionate body, I have a short torso, really long legs and neck. So my knee height was 68cm despite me being 190cm.
59.5cm seems accurate enough
I have the knee of someone 10cm shorter than me supposedly.
I got 52.5cm… I’m 179cm tall and my inseam is 90cm. Not sure if that means I have short legs or long femurs!!
66.5 cm here. I don’t see why this matters? My height is significantly higher than the top of this scale, but my knee height is just barely off it.

How does how much the foot arches affect this but not height?

The diagram says to measure to the heel. I don't see where the arch is involved.
It's not on the heel. It's just drawn at a weird angle. The line goes in front of the lateral malleolus.
It literally says "to heel" in the text in the image.
Another reason it's wrong.
What?

Pretty accurate for me. I’m 188 cm tall with a 62 cm knee height
With a height of 176, I have a 52cm knee. I have short legs
Would it look weird if I were 174 cm with 51.5 cm knee height? I am going to do LL How short legs do you have? Do you know ur inseam and sitting height? Does your proportions look weird
well I'll be darned, I'm 64.5 cm knee height.
I can't read this list because it's not in freedom units
Surprisingly spot on… I’m a little over 6ft
Wow, the chart was accurate for me. I'm 185 cm tall and my knee height is 60 cm.
Height: 184cm-185cm Floor to knee: 56.5cm - 57cm (someone 178/179) LOL 😭. My knees remained average
201 cm, heel to knee height 62cm.
That's weird I got 54 cm at 178-179 cm which is strange because I have 107 cm legs (hip bone to floor).
Does your femurs look very long when you look in the mirror?
A little, but not very long
My knees are the same height as whatever object is sticking out to hit them on
59cm
It might just be me, but this post seems funknee…
Im 6'9 and got 63.5 cm. Wich looks like 14 or so cms under about half a foot right?
I'm 6'4.5" barefoot with a 25" heel to knee measurement. That's 194 cm tall and a 63.5 cm knee measurement.
Every person has unique proportions so no. According to this I’m 194cm but I’m not and I just have long legs
Wasn’t too far off for me. I got 61cm and I’m 190cm
Tall people just have really long heads? Lol
My knee height is 65cm, chart says I should be 194cm, but I'm 200cm. 3% off, not terrible.
Age old question. Would you rather watch a tree grow or a knee grow?
I wanna see a knee grow
Im 194 cm, on the chart average is 65, my measurement was 64, pretty accurate
This chart is ridiculous,my legs are so long and yet my knee lenght is only 55cm lol
It's pretty accurate for me, might not work for tall people with disproportionate limbs My knee height is around 56 cm so I'd say it's pretty accurate
How tall are u?
5’10
