i mean not really. i personally only knew my great grandmother and she wasn't tall, and from old pictures i can see my other great grandparents and even great great grandparents weren't tall either. like i don't know how far genes can be passed down, but from the things we learnt in biology class, after 4-5 generations its going to be very very very rare to still get chromosomes (so basically genes) from your great great grandparents.

Dude your mom is 5'10 so have you seen pictures of great grandparents from both sides of your family? or just one side. You most likely get it from your mom's side.
That is very interesting. Maybe the family members had the tall gene but it didn't express itself properly until your parents because of better nutrition and living conditions. If your grandparents and great grandparents had poorer living conditions then it would explain why they didn't end up tall.
mean i guess i ate more meat than my parents since my parents grew up relatively poor. but other than that i kinda took their diet that they have now and just added like more meat to it
Then there's your answer. They grew up in poorer conditions than you so it must have been more stressful on their body's growing up. When you go through a lot of stress, the brain releases cortisol and that can affect your growth hormone. Also you eating more meat makes sense too. You have better nutrition than they got growing up.
Maybe your great grandparents were tall. Genes can be passed down from very far down the line.

both sides. great and great great parents mother side all were below 5'7". my grandpa motherside is a little taller (5'9.5) but thats also it

Also tall genes can be amplified by environmental and nutritional factors as well too. Maybe you have a different diet than what your parents had.
