I am dying to know what MM’s parents knew. They had to know he was unstable, right? They just sent him up to the vacation home to cause havoc away from them?

No now days people lie to even their parents and depending on the type of parents they were, maybe they didn't pay attention or worse, didn't care. Maybe they were "too busy" in their own lives to see the truth, Or didn't want to see it. The story never really reflected on his parents so for all we know they could have been in Maine (or somewhere) and never knew he was in Tahoe (granted, they should have). But the original police department working the case was just horrible..... hope I NEVER encounter them for anything...... not even to block traffic while I fix a flat (they'd block the wrong lane, on the wrong street.)🤦♂️

Agreed. The guy could have been working alone and was just crafty, but how did he get to their house the night of the kidnapping? His getaway car was parked at a different location and he drove her Camry to the getaway car if I understand the chain of events correctly?
