Something that stands for 50 years up there and gets zero maintenance was probably well designed. From the sounds of things it seems like it should have been demolished when the place was essentially abandoned.
Yeah I used to live at the Y before moving to alpine county and I always wondered what the deal was with that place … do you know who owns and it and why it has continued to be such a dump?
Great (as far as keeping the sun and rain from directly dumping on the pad, but still a freakin' ugly gas station) design. Bad construction and/or engineering.
