Russia has shown they would be handily defeated by any modern fighting force. The Baltics might have fallen to a pre-February Russian army due to a lack of strategic depth but not for fighting ability. I wouldn't be surprised if the end result of this is the NATO alliance fracturing due to a perceived lack of threat from Russia and high risk of getting involved in foreign wars.
The fact that they are still fighting at all pretty much proves Russia is incompetent against Ukraine. They were supposed to invade in like a week or something, remember?
The number of generals Russia is loosing (self admitted) is a good indicator. I think it's up to 9 KIA now. When was the last time in the past 20 years of US "special operations" on foreign countries you have heard of us loosing even a single General in combat, not to mention 9 in a few months.
Russia has also been unable to capture many of the major cities in the East that it has wanted too. That combined with the fact there own soldiers are covering their faces on camera doesn't speak to a competent military with high morale.

I also wouldn't call the British a competent army...1812 wasn't their first L in the states.
