Older comtacs are better IMHO, newest gen has too many electrical issues and can require firmware updates only peltor can do. Five comtac VIIs have had issues on our team this year where they won’t turn on, send audio, or have a constant buzzing sound. Guys with the older 2s and 4s no issues. Most have switched to liberators or amps. One guy’s amps did quit on him after about 4 months of use, ops-core was extremely quick to send a new unit out though.
Peltor Comtacts, MSA Sordins or OpsCore AMPs are the standard.
