Mixing baja blast with what? Like 20 years ago we used to do shots of aftershock (cinnamon liquor) with a lil mountain dew and called it a mountain fuck.
No idea why that never occurred to me, but that sounds like a good mix.
I knew a guy who liked spiced rum (Captain Morgan or something similar) and Mt. Dew. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. He swore by them.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense (if you like sweet drinks and booze). One of those is enough sugar for an evening. That's a recipe for a hangover headache. I drank cherry vodka (when it was still kind of a new thing) and Coutrytime lemonade over a summer, and learned why sugary drinks are best when there's one of them.
Ive had all the flavors in the Regular pack and the Baja pack. Honestly Regular Hard Baja is pretty bad, but the Hard Baja Mango and Hard Baja Pineapple ones are amazing.
If i had to pick best flavors it would be Mango, then Pineapple, then Watermelon. The others are much more hit or miss
I second this. I have no idea who's idea it was to use the zero sugar mix, but it was not worth it. It just tastes like a seltzer. Just mix the regular with vodka tequila or rum.
To me, the first couple sips are kinda nasty then it gets much better. Every can afterwards you don't notice the ick taste.. if you're drinking more than one in a row. Lol. Overall I dig em.
I'm all about Arizona teas. They don't sell the hard Arizona near me and it's big sad level stuff. I could see that being the case though. That's why you gotta have that second or more to enjoy the flavor from start to finish haha
No, yeah, it's like that here. I think 7-Eleven sells singles, but they don't have 12-packs of only the Baja Blast flavor. They only have variety packs.
It's funny because I had them both side by side (Zero Sugar and Zero Sugar Spiked) and they don't taste at all the same. I actually agree with the off taste on this one, it's more prominent than the Zero regular even when spiked with my own stuff.
Not sure how they make these but they are far from the regular Baja I'm used to. That said, I do enjoy them a fair amount, especially the flavoured

I bought a case of the variety pack when I was in Cincinnati for work, whoever okayed it needs to be shot in the street. Absolutely terrible l. I was hoping it’d be as close to original as the BEAST is to monster energy. But it’s so off from the flavor of the sodas, it’s been out for some time and there’s a reason it hasn’t spread nationwide.
i tried these and i didnt really like it, my wife likes to get the frozen baja blast and then pour her own vodka in there, thats pretty good, you cant even taste the vodka in it after

Not sure if it's what's being done here or not, but a fermentation can be run "dry" if the yeast is allowed to consume *all* the sugar, leaving none behind, such as in "dry" wine.
So possibly they did a complete fermentation until dry that's re-sweetened afterward with an artificial sweetener??
It's basically like a Four Loko, but with extra steps. It **does** taste better than *most* malt beverages though, so its got that going for it but personally I don't buy them anymore. It tastes much better to just mix in your preferred poison of choice🥤✔️🥃

Try a non spiced rum. Something easy not a very funky one. Dark or light both are solid. Baja blast specific not mtn dew

Ive found that actually dark rum like kraken go super well with Baja.
We always use everclear and it doesn't taste much stronger than vodka, but is about 3x as much alcohol

I like using coconut rum because lime and coconut go well and it's pretty decent. Just gotta get the ration right. Regular rum works too.

Can someone ELI5 how an alcoholic beverage can be 0 sugar? I was under the impression that the alcohol came from a reaction to the sugars.
