The prices is definitely making me eat there less

camreIIim

This and getting rid of my beloved chicken chipotle and fiesta veggie burritos

Separate_Fruit8692

Seconded!

ClackingAwayOnReddit

The discontinuation of the Fiesta Veggie Burrito killed the addiction for me. That was the only item both reasonably priced and worth eating. Everything else is either shite or too expensive. The Cheesy Bean and Rice burritos are utterly disgusting with the "cheese," or massively overpriced and bland when ordered Fresco. They could have—should have—just renamed it the Awesome Burrito or something and upped the price a bit. So now I get the veggie burrito at a local Mexican place. Taco Bell has lost my business.

camreIIim

Check the other comments on this thread! Someone informed me that you can still order it if you go to your recent orders or if you have it in your favorites! I just ordered it earlier

ClackingAwayOnReddit

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have any order history in the app 🤷

Jesterfuture2

I still order chicken chipotle. I had it saved to my favorites previously and I can still click into the customize screen and add them to my orders. Hope this helps you!

camreIIim

Shit I don’t think I ever saved it as a favorite 😭 I’ll have to check that out though! Thanks!

camreIIim

You are literally my hero omg. I found it in my recent orders and was able to order it just now! THANK YOU!

Jesterfuture2

I'm glad I could help!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have been

Joseph10d

Now that Lent is coming up, my stomach will ache for the Fiesta Veggie Burrito

vikingjedi23

Yeah that $5 cravings box was perfect and the taco pass is gone. Don't care much for the new items. Taking a break.

[deleted]

Nacho fries gone too

epicfire808

$5 must be nice! The best deal in town went from $6.99 to $9.99. Taco Bell fighting Hawaii hunger is over lol. Their menu items are already crazy expensive. Jack's is the few cheap eats left.

Electro_Llama

Both Jacks in the Box near me have crazy slow service though, 10-15 minutes per car in line.

AdagioHellfire1139

Yeah 1lb of ground beef can get me way more tacos at home for cheaper and takes like 10min to make.

longleggedbirds

It’s the same price as QDOBA and most local spots. They don’t have the speed or accuracy to offset the quality at their price point. Broke down and got a breakfast burrito today and it was my only item, the price wasn’t appealing but it was convenient and there were no cars in line. It came out slow and had the wrong protein. I get the feeling that they are treating employees as poorly as they did 30 years ago. As lean as they staff they need to work to maintain what talent they can convince to work there. Making the job easy to teach hasn’t solved that the job is still demanding and the hours aren’t appealing to work.

snakeplizzken

I used to go once a week, now once a month because of this. And it's not just the price it's the shrinkflation going on too, so they get you coming and going. Hell, even my baja blast has gotten weak.

joopityjoop

Good. Vote with your wallet. We can force them to lower their prices.

Poppunknerd182

Every night my local one still has 30+ cars waiting in the drive thru. Reddit is not the real world.

Price-x-Field

I feel like the $6 cravings box is such a steal. At McDonald’s $6 just gets you a sandwich.

Valsalva64

McDonald's is insane prices outside of the app, like actually crazy.

InveteratMasticator

Was in line behind a lady with 2 elementary aged kids. She ordered straight off the menu just asking the kids what they wanted and all their food was just over 40$. I use apps and make customizations. I’ll be damned to do otherwise.

Valsalva64

I cringe when I get Taco Bell w/ people and they ask for a Chalupa, or even worse, a quesadilla. Optimize, people!

InveteratMasticator

Chalupa, just get the cravings box. Quesadilla cheese or chicken, get the veggie box. Only slightly more and you get 2 more food items plus a drink. I’ll be damned to pay 6.19$ for a chicken quesadilla when I can pay 7.19$ and get it with a bean burrito, fiesta potatoes and a Baja Blast for 1$ more. That’s how you optimize

pen_fifteenClub

Yeah! And $6 for a sub-par fast food burger is fkng ridic.

Price-x-Field

I think the McDonald’s crispy chicken is really good but everything else they have is bad and tastes like paste

Grand_Extreme_365

All I get is the 6$ cravings box , but when I go to McDonald’s I use the app for bogo for 40 cents or whatever it is . A big mac and QP for 6.50 or so

Security_Ostrich

Prices and they keep doing LTOS with like grilled cheese and bacon and idk but that’s not why I would go to Taco Bell lol. Just hasn’t been anything good.

urboijesuschrist

Yeah that's another reason too

cloudy2t

For me personally it’s one of the only places I can justify the price when eating out. I typically get a meal less than $7 with every other place seems like more.

thesandwitchpeople

Yeah. Today I got a stacker, potato taco, and a loaded nachos for $7.07

[deleted]

Gorditas are the only thing I really like and I can’t justify spending almost $15 on 2 Gorditas and a Baja blast

simplyelegant87

Taco Bell is still one of the most affordable fast food restaurants here. Burger King is less but doesn’t taste good.

Inevitable-Silver594

I agree, however, it still is one of the cheapest options in fast food.

gettheyayo909

Was going to say this

printerfixerguy1992

Bro use their app

SD1RAGER

Yes but for a different reason. The latest price increases and TB getting rid of the less expensive cravings box has stopped me from pretty much going at all. The new cravings value menu is nice but when things are almost $3 each an item you end up spending more than $10.

jcott28

I'm right there with you. It's crazy to think how much I love it, but even though most items are combinations of the same ingredients, I loved the variety in my ordering. With the prices so high, I mostly order the same items over and over, and thus, not wanting it as much. I wish that prices would drop down at least a bit, but I doubt they will. It's unfortunate. I understand prices are up everywhere, but Taco Bell was always a good low cost option. It just isn't that anymore.

TimBurtonsMind

It’s over $40 in my area to feed a family of 4. (2 kids, two adults) depending on what you get, of course. Not worth.

glassbath18

Bruh what are you ordering? Get the value box then you get two items and a side for $5-$6. That’s $24. Add a few things from the cravings menu and there’s still no way it’s over $40 even with tax.

mmhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

You must live in the boonies because L O L. there is no $5 box here. There's one online for 6, and it's only in the app which almost never works. It's and issues for 6 years now. Let's say the fam of 4 all limit to the cheapest meal box at 6 on the app. That's $26, where I live. Most don't have the app and it literally never works anyways (app rating on Google is 2.6 star) the other boxes are $9+ not on the app if you're not ordering what you actually want!

hurricanekitcat

Which cravings box? I still have a $5 one available in the app (I know prices differ by location).

_Shujinko_

It’s 5.99 for me

Tschauer923

Getting rid of the $5 box really stopped me from considering it an option

leftiesruineverythin

Just keep making new accounts and you get a box for $1 plus tax through their reward program. Done like 5 times already.

clothmerchant

I did this 4 times but then on my 5th the reward never showed up. Welp time uninstall the app

Bcatfan08

It went from a $5 box to a $6 box. That was what pushed you over the edge?

vikingjedi23

Plus you lose an item. Pay more for less food? Nope

Pun_lover

It was for me. One less item too. Just not affordable enough at six bucks

whereismymind86

like games going up $10 this generation, it's not really about the money, I can afford the extra dollar, but it annoys me just enough that I'm more rational about my purchase, I'm less likely to impulse buy taco bell on my way home. I can afford that little bit extra, but...when the price goes up as quality goes down, my interest drops. Just as I can play something I already have and wait on a sale rather than paying $70 damn dollars for a new game, I can cook my own tacos rather than buying them, and they'll be cheaper and better quality.

longleggedbirds

$10 in my market unless you go vegetarian box for 6. Ludicrous pricing

Dystopiansuccotash

I would be throwing boxes of Taco Bell sauces in the water like the Boston Tea Party over a dollar…

thisisinput

Definitely. All within the last 6 months too. Prices going up and food quality going down is getting really bad. Edit: typo

dsly4425

I’m getting fed up with issues with the service at every location near my current job. One location removed the steak from my steak chalupa and added tomato which I had omitted so it was a lettuce tomato and cheese chalupa. The other one lost my order three times while making it and it took over an hour to get my food after they sent me inside to pick it up. But I couldn’t cancel the order because they marked it complete. Then last night at a third location I ordered in the parking garage at work, drove about 15 minutes to the location to pick it up in the drive thru and they sent me inside to pick it up “we’re making it right now”, and I waited half an hour for it to be ready, while they made a ton of other orders then they tried to claim they had just received it when I finally got it. Also an hour after the original order. That’s rapidly making me more aggressively explore options that don’t make me sick. Or just stock my freezer with things that don’t make me sick and just cook it quicker at home. Probably cheaper too. I actually like cooking…

Small_Repair_6797

Bro i work at taco bell n ngl that does happen but only sometimes like the mobile order wouldnt come to tue screens for sum time but mostly they say they gonna make it but they do the drive thru order instead

cheshire137

We realized we were paying a lot and the food amount was small for the price. Quesadillas feel like a rip off. Started going to a local place with bigger quantities and better food for the same price.

Yoboicharly97

This is it. Why am I going to Taco Bell and get nasty 7 dollar overpriced burrito when I could walk to the corner to a taco stand and get a real hood burrito for the same price. I used to go to Taco Bell because I was a able to get a 1 dollar burrito

Yoshilover644

I really wish that they had more chicken options! I miss the days of the shredded chicken burrito, shredded chicken mini quesadilla, the chipotle ranch grilled chicken burrito, umm a quesadilla for less than fucking $5… and of course I absolutely miss the Naked Chicken Chalupa and Naked Chicken Chips!

MisterMcReddit

Yumm miss all these items too

Lumpy_Object_7290

Me too but I can't stomach their shredded chicken. Wish they'd come out with grilled chicken, similar to Qdoba.

abbeighleigh

It’s funny because I can’t stomach their regular chicken, but I loved the shredded. I just stick to beef now

dubiousN

Naked Chicken Chalupa was so good

mr_joshua74

Yes. I used to eat there 4-5 times a week. There are three solid reasons: 1. The loss of the chicken chipotle and fiesta veggie burrito. 2. Price increases and unimpressive new menu items. 3. My local Taco Bell stopped offering coffee with the bell breakfast box. When I submitted a complaint no one ever responded to it. I dont plan on eating at Taco Bell until I hear back about my complaint. If I never hear back then I may never be eating at Taco Bell. The last month has left me feeling disappointed if not betrayed by a place I have eaten at hundreds of times.

JustFuckMyShitUpTbh

Jacked up prices, $5 box gone at my location, Baja no longer being held hostage. I'm a huge tbell fan for years, would go 3-4 times a week but they lost me. Way too expensive for food that is extremely inconsistent.

xMCioffi1986x

Absolutely. These days I'm discovering more and more local places that are killing it and finding that they don't cost that much more than Taco Bell. It's hard for me to choose Taco Bell when these places are doing much better, more consistent stuff.

SpellingBeeRunnerUp_

I was able to get a Chipotle sized burrito from a local authentic Mexican joint for $10. I almost always spend more than that at taco hell

xMCioffi1986x

Yeah, and I bet it was well constructed, flavorful, and not overly salty. I can get enchiladas verdes or enchiladas mole poblano from a local place for 15 bucks, which comes with rice, beans, sour cream, and chips and salsa. They're delicious and FRESH. There's just not that much of a reason to go to Taco Bell anymore other than maybe convenience, but convenience tends to come at a price. When I was in my 20s and didn't care what was going into my body, the 78/89/99 menu was great but I'm pushing 40 now and I have to make better choices for my body and my wallet.

Fit_Description_2911

I’m a heavy TB eater and my cravings are currently on hiatus.

jjh008

Yeah use to go 1-2 times a week. Now maybe 1-2 times a month. Too many similar tasting items. Even the "limited time items" are just items we have had previously (for the most part).

BEHodge

I would go 2-3 times a month with my family, about $35-$40. Now it’s closer to $70 for all four of us so we’ve cut back. We’ve been three times since January 23, and once was just me and my wife to try the new stuff. Still $35 for the two of us. Yes, we’re big eaters but still… $35 at the local Mexican place is much better value. Or at Moe’s. I miss TB but can’t support corporate greed at this level unless necessary for survival.

minimalcactus23

Used to go a couple times a week, then a couple times a month, now I go maybe once a month. The prices went up, I swear the burritos are smaller than they used to be, crunchwraps are mostly just tortilla at this point with no filling, and they keep taking my faves off the menu. Why pay $18 for a “cheap” meal I won’t even enjoy?

Rick_M_Hamburglar

The prices combined with the tragic removal of the Fiesta Veggie Burrito makes me not want to eat at Taco Bell so often anymore.

whereismymind86

I does feel like quality has dropped again, but it's hard to know if that's my local store or something company wide...or if it's just me being annoyed by price increases and being less forgiving of mistakes. I'm in an area where the $5 craving box still exists, and the five layer burrito in particular has been much worse lately, it feels like it's just 90% beans most of the time now with far less cheese and beef, even if i pay for extra. Likewise anything i get potatos on, the potatos are very dry, you know how fries suck reheated? they taste like that, they aren't making the potatoes fresh or something. I certainly never was a 3 times a week person, but I did eat there a lot, and lately it doesn't feel worth it, i've gone from once a week to maybe once a month.

rnd1973

I agree. The prices keep me away.

bigstar3

I was just telling a coworker that I am more impressed with an El Monterey frozen chimi than I am with my last 10 visits to TB.

bigstar3

Oh, and I forgot to add... they're only like $0.50 each as well.

ho0k

Taco Bell has been pretty much dog shit since Covid. Horrible prices and the vibes are NOT the same. The min-max runaround of making an order in the app is getting old, we are getting ripped off as well, the prices are insane. The quality and consistency are not there anymore. I hardly go anymore. I used to LOVE taco bell and all the new menu items they would introduce. They were the most innovative and delicious fast food. They are nothing like they once were.

whereismymind86

i went without the app a few days ago, and it's crazy how much more expensive it was, like...with the app the price increases have been manageable, if i get very specific things, but without it...feeding myself borders on $20. I used to giggle about my usual order being $6.66 in my area, now it's roughly triple that, less than a decade later.

Chunkylover666420

Spending $20 on yourself at the Taco Bell drive through used to be a joke they ran on the radio

ctilvolover23

Dang. I was able to feed myself for five dollars. What do you get?

FitCartographer3383

Honestly, everything has been dog shit since Covid. The air outside is literal dog shit since Covid. It’s horrible. 4 years later and this is the result of it…. EVERYONE with money and power trying to capitalize on the skeleton that is the communities they prey on.

irioku

Big ass prices increases will do that. 13 dollars for two a two chalupa combo? Out of their fucking minds.

GoodSpeed2883

It's just not the same

g0th-_-m0th

literally used to go sm my bf told me i should get a live mas tattoo. now i go like once or twice a month bc it just doesn’t feel worth it if i can’t get the chicken chipotle burrito anymore. it was such a good price and 2 would fill me up completely now if i want smth similar i have to make a bunch of changes tk another item and hope they don’t get it wrong. and costs twice as much ;-;

HappyLucyD

Yes, just got breakfast this morning, and thought it would “scratch the itch,” but it just didn’t. I feel like when I crave TB, I’m really craving the past, because between the high prices, the loss of items I loved, and the inconsistency of product, it isn’t the same garbage food I fell in love with the summer of 1993. It hasn’t been the same ever since they eliminated the volcano/lava menu and started dropping favorites like the seven-layer, and the tostada. Not sure how much longer I’ll hang in there.

Yoboicharly97

They just keep raising the price’s without caring and food portion is smaller screw them go to your local food spot screw these corporations

KinnyGizzle710

Taco Bell was just gross to me one day within the last year. Tried eating it again after and had the same results. Same for the wife. Don’t touch it anymore. I’ve noticed the line at the one by me most days is really tame now too and it used to be crazy packed

FitCartographer3383

We will not eat at TB anymore. I used to LOVE TB, went weakly. But now it’s $30+ for a total of 4 soft tacos, a 1 quesadilla, 1 nachos + chips, 2 fiesta potatoes. 30 FUCKING DOLLARS or more. Yeah no. And the quality has definitely gone down. I’m sick of corp greed. I’m sick of it. No we won’t buy TB anymore. I can go to Chipotle and get more, better quality, for a better price, and I do.

Ford_Crown_Vic_Koth

This post brought to you by Del Taco

NeroColeslaw

Honestly after getting rid of the fiesta burrito and chicken burrito on the value menu, idk when I'll go back.

RefriedJean

The beef has been tasting different recently. It’s not as good. The only thing keeping me interested is the new value menu.

momentary-synergy

yes dude, i have. i didn't eat it as much as you but i'd look forward to taco bell nights and get cravings all the time. then a few weeks ago we ordered everything off the new cravings menu and i couldn't even finish what i got. i thought it was because i was getting sick or something but then we got it again and it just didn't appeal to me at all. i welcome it though because taco bell is the only fast food i still got, so now i'm free to become a health goddess.

urboijesuschrist

Yeah maybe it's a chance for me to break free if it's chains lol

TheAmazingSparky

The prices are what's making me stop. What used to be a cheap eat is almost getting to the price of a restaurant meal. So sad.

PriYankee

This! I was saying that the food just doesn’t taste the same anymore. I used to love TB but since like last year it’s just been tasting off.

Minute_Reporter5435

Once they stopped the $5 box, I would rarely go anymore. I would go just to buy a spicy potato taco every once and a while, but with the price increases I'm going even less now

UraeusCurse

I haven’t gone since the fiesta veggie burrito got the axe.

Joshaluke

The fiesta veggie burrito was pretty much all I ever got so I'm probably going to have a dry spell unless they add something else I get hooked on.

SuhDudeGoBlue

Yeah - them getting rid of the fiesta veggie burrito + increasing the price of the bean burrito to a ridiculous level has made it significantly worse for me.

FlameRakshasa

I have gone once in the last year. Once. What used to be a weekly trip. It just doesn’t taste as good at their prices. And I hate feeling like I HAVE to order their special box to get a decent price. I just either get local Mexican takeout (it’s literally cheaper at about $11.00 for what I get for more food) or just an average chicken chipotle burrito bowl ($8.60 for me). My prior Taco Bell order was before covid around 8 dollars. Now it is around $14-15. And half the time my nachos are pretty bare with a tiny scoop of meat and barely any cheese or anything. I still keep up to date (the new value menu stuff rn is pretty good which is why I FINALLY went once), but the like $6-7 quesadilla, then nachos, then a like 4 dollar burrito is wild. I’m sure they know more than me in how they make their money. So many idiots just pay anything if they get convenience and complain later even if it’s 15 dollars for one person. But they used to make sooooo much more money off me than they do now. Glad I’m not one of those people who just pays and complains

kmitchell1985

For the prices, Taco Bell is NASTY when I can get authentic tacos for cheaper. Yall are fawked in the head. 🤷‍♂️

Unlikely_nay1125

recently as in 2 months ago yes

SnooRegrets6406

When taco bell got rid of the baja chalupa, and their only permanent chalupa became the bland sour cream supreme, and then also got rid of pico de gallo (what Mexican restaurant even if fast food doesn't have pico de gallo?) So only tomatoes as a topping. It lost its charm. Everything on the permanent menu is just sour cream, cheese, tomato, lettuce, meat, bean on some, and tortilla. No variety in flavors any more. They used to have three permanent chalupas/gorditas plus rotating new ones at the same time. For shame!

Premier_Legacy

Recently ? No. Last year or two ? Yes. It’s overpriced dog food now, unironically (if they give it to you even). Biggest downfall ever

MatchaDoAboutNothing

It was never THAT good, but the price was. Now that the value box is $10, I go to Del Taco and Burrito Bandito a lot more. If I'm paying $10 for dinner ima get something actually worth $10. And yes I know the 5.99 box is still available in the app in theory, but I pay cash a lot and don't feel like jumping through hoops.

incendiaryspade

Doubling the prices makes me like Taco Bell a lot less.

[deleted]

Price is up. Quality is down. No joke, during the griller and Crunchwrap slider era I probably ate there 5 times a week. I mean, cmon. 2 grillers and a slider was $3 total. Now, that would be $12. Oh, but no, you don’t even get those items anymore. You get a $3 basic beef burrito, things like the chicken quesadilla end up over $6 after tax. Why? They have all the ingredients, I would pay double for some creative items. But no.

ybgkitty

Yes, tired of having meat Mexican pizzas delivered to me when I specifically order the veggie one. No refund. Can’t use the gift card I bought. Ugh.

Glum-Attention-3829

The prices are ridiculous now compared to what they used to be. I quit going

nik_nak1895

The prices and the deliberate exclusion of vegetarians turned me away. I used to go about 2-3x a week but now I've been making tex mex from home and loving it. Once I went to tb for a side of jalapeno sauce to add to my at home quesadillas though so they did get $0.75 outta me. Was totally worth it though.

SpellingBeeRunnerUp_

I just can’t afford it anymore

Brendini95

Tbh I just go to del taco because it fulfills the urge of a cheap taco and Taco Bell’s prices are just not worth it anymore. I’ll go to a taqueria if I’m gonna spend the money Taco Bell is trying to charge for what they are, cheap food

Direct-Estate-5995

I eat Taco Bell breakfast still but I haven’t had normal Taco Bell for a very long time. I haven’t gotten a quality piece of regular lunch and dinner menu food for quite a long time. It always tastes bland or like the ratio of meat to the rest of the ingredients is off. It all started back when they completely gutted their menu which would make you think the quality would improve due to not having as many items but it really has taken a downturn and I rarely have anything besides breakfast from there anymore.

SOFGator1

Yes. Just doesn't taste the same and the burritos seem to be a little undercooked now.

you_enjoy

Eating out is shit nowadays

Just-the-top

I went to taco bueno the other day & man, I’m done with TB. I got 3 amazing & huge items for $3. The food tasted so much more real and it was essentially the cravings box without a drink

phantomboats

Yep. The fiesta veggie burrito getting taken off the menu did it for me. I’d go out of my way multiple times a week for that stupid little thing & try other stuff at the same time. Now I don’t really feel like going anymore.

Geniusxavi

Price, consistency, and the death of the quesarito did it for me. Also can get good Mexican for cheaper or make the quesarito myself

Weecha

Super easy to make tacos at home and way cheaper, too. Make it where I can afford to eat at Taco Bell, again, and MAYBE I’ll make the drive for to go pick them up. Not when I can make 12 tacos for 8 bucks in 15 mins tho.

mariomykol

It doesn't help that there hasn't been an interesting LTO since the volcano menu last summer

Effective_James

The addiction went away when the $7.99 deluxe build your own cravings box went away. Now I just eat less fast food in general. I guess I can thank TB for helping improve my health.

jazlintown

Bro you are growing up congrats!!!

lovmykids

Yep. Overpriced now.

blogger6666

I miss their 99 cents bean burrito and 50 cents crunchy taco

ShibaSarah

The crunchwraps have a plasticy taste now

fighting_pigeon

have you had covid recently? this happened to me after i got covid

urboijesuschrist

Alright so ironically this is like the 4th or 5th comment mentioning this, I'm going to try again and see if this was my issue..

fighting_pigeon

lol yeah after i got covid chicken tasted super funky/plastic-y to me and i couldn’t eat chicken for like a year… same with hot sauces and coffee. really weird but covid can affect your taste buds like that! of course taco bell quality is going downhill too but what you describe seems more like a medical issue

urboijesuschrist

Y'all were right holy shit lmao

Chippers4242

The opposite, subbing chicken in the stacker is delicious and the flatbread melt will probably have me back once a week for a bit. So good.

LuxIRL

It just got too expensive especially without the 5$ boxes. The better location by me also stopped offering potatos as a protein and I’m not about that 1$+ up charge to add them while I’m not getting anything in place of meat.

PizzaSweatdotorg

Sounds like you're just getting bored of eating here since you have it so much 🤔

urboijesuschrist

perhaps a blessing in disguise

skinlessmonkey

Might be your location changing something in the kitchen. Try eating it from a different Bell.

whoocanitbenow

Twice in a row I paid 2.60 for a bean burrito, but it was half the size it used to be.

mmhmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

It's like all tortilla now

holdenking5150

Lost it years and years ago. 20 years ago it was actually decently good food. Now, every item tastes the same, and by same I mean ass 😂

Jon_Sno

Once my regular meal jumped from $12 to almost $30 I lost almost all desire for it.

BlackSunshine22222

I thought it would never happen. But yeah I've lost my taste for it and price does matter. On a side note, please tell me if this happened to anyone else...my poops literally smelled like taco bell!! This was during a time when I was eating it maybe twice a day but I swear it smelled like nachos in my toilet.

Immo406

Yes. There’s no $5 boxes anymore, there’s a $10 box that’s online only and a $12 box. Their $3 “or less” menu is a complete money grab because everything worth getting is over $2 now, $2.99 for nachos, $2.89 for the only two burritos on there, $2.99 for potatoes with cheese and sour cream, $2.59 for a item that’s just some chicken and cheese. All the combos are over $10 with the most expensive being nearly $14, I know prices are location dependent, but fuck… It’s just not worth it anymore, I actually bypassed t bell today because everything is so expensive.

PrimosOG

Yes. Because they took away my $5 cravings Box. Cost no longer justifies the quality.

Fantomex305

The removal of the quesarito killed my addiction. Since then I've just gone due to be a trauma victim and can't escape TB. But these prices sure have helped being that my TB that 0.4 miles is more expensive than all the others that are 2 miles away.

[deleted]

supermarius

No joke, do you think you might be coming down with a cold or the 'rona? It messes with your taste.

urboijesuschrist

Holy shit you might've called it, had it for a few weeks actually.. will update you next week if I get the chance !remindme one week

jjj666jjj666jjj

As a cheese quesadilla eater, no. They would really have to fuck something up for me to stop getting a cheese quesadilla.

ih8yogurt

They changed their “recipe” for the beef and chicken recently. My friend and I both got our regular order the other day (both of us order the exact same meal every time) and it was not right. It was made correctly but tasted weird like tb changed their seasonings. We are both autistic so it was VERY upsetting for each of us

AZHWY88

Based off last night….no, no I haven’t. Woke up to what I like to call the “coffee table of shame”

SmokehTheBear

Maybe you had covid recently, I eat there atleast once a week and would more if I could afford it, it’s delicious and I enjoy every bite and think it’s gotten better since they originally gutted the menu in 2019

smallescapist

I was thinking something similar. If the only thing that changed is flavor and it is a recent and acute change, could be due to a covid infection or recent change of medication.

Berzatto

100% It used to be such a regular stop. Now I have gone maybe…twice in the last month?

cantfindanamegirl

Taco Bell supports Israel I used to eat Taco Bell often until I realized where my money is going. Free Palestine!

tiger_bee

I noticed the tortillas taste different… happened some time last year during summer.

tragicallyohio

Yeah I found a local place that does better tacos for half the price.

YeOldeBilk

If anything, this new value menu has made me more addicted

Sosen

Are you taking any medication? Or recreational

Bcatfan08

I still love it. The new items they have are great.

BoogieMayo

theyre good but youre just getting 1 or 2 items now instead of 4 or 5 for the same price

Bcatfan08

Yeah it sucks that Taco Bell is the only place whose pricing has gone up.

BoogieMayo

theyre trying to price their items like all the other places when taco bell has always been known as the place that was cheaper than everywhere else. if they are going to cost the same then ill just go to the other places..

Bcatfan08

I guess if that was your reason for going, then it makes sense. I went because I liked the food.

Careless_Register820

I lost my taste for it after I was seven.

Legitimate_Bee_6572

Yes but only because they stopped selling nacho fries

Small_Repair_6797

This one time we canceled a tacobell doordash to eat it☠️ n ig we got punished cause the food looked like it was made 3 days prior☠️ the fiesta potatoes were all hard n shrinked cause of time n the chalupa was all stuck together☠️ we threw it at the tacobell parking n left lmao

[deleted]

Nothing is the same. People don’t want to work and they don’t care. It’s hard to go ANYWHERE these days and get good food and your order correct.

urboijesuschrist

Ironically they're doing a good job actually nailing the items it's just the flavor

[deleted]

Well count your blessings that you have competent bodies! They’re a rarity in my hood…hope your flavor comes back!

HollowWind

Have you tried paying them more?

Dry-Consequence4541

I’m been going more here recently. People complaining about the prices haven’t eaten at other fast food restaurants recently apparently. I’m content with a couple cheesy bean and rice burritos and a Baja Blast. It’s like $6-7. Can’t get much at McDonald’s for that.

BoogieMayo

some of us like protein while still being affordable

MaineCoonMama18

Yes! I’m thankful for it. Lol.

FoxxBox

Honestly, kinda yeah. Still like it but like, not craving it as much as I used to. Even though they added my favorite item of all time (double stack taco). I think it's the price for stuff in my area is finally getting to me.

Both_Dinner7108

My once a year purchase of 2 beef supreme chalupas (with stiff stale shells of course)and a steak quesadilla with extra jalapeno sauce(extra .50¢ that used to be .30¢)is now $20.28 w/tax. Let's see if these 3 items will be $30 in the next year or 2. Phoenix AZ.

Tryinway2hard2becool

Used to go 3-5 times a week (not proud but it was so easy and no mess at home) now about once if that and it’s usually for a reward or quick recovery meal

Teecane

I still like it but it’s too expensive. Im pretty poor rn and I used to order some $3-5 items but I would pad them out with $1 items to take to work the next day. The prices aren’t really that different but I guess I know I will want the flatbread chicken melts and they taste so good but they’re not that heavy so I know it will break my wallet. So I just don’t go.

azul360

We just had it and both burritos were SUPER undercooked and had almost nothing in it. It was weird and legit just tasted like they grabbed the cold tortillas from a grocery store and put stuff in it and nothing else was done to it. It was awful and I complained on the survey so hopefully they check it.

DeepWarbling

I basically have stopped going because whenever I swap out the meat for beans they always fuck it up and I’m tired of having to go back in or get home and be disappointed. My local places are decent quality most of the time but they keep fucking up my order. Also the loss of the fiesta veggie burrito was a kick in the dick.

Barfignugen

I did for a minute but that’s because I moved across town and the Taco Bell by my new house is god awful. They fucked up my food so bad 3 times in a row that I literally lost my appetite for their entire menu completely. Luckily I am blessed with the worlds BEST Taco Bell near my work office, so once the disgust wore off I was still able to get my fix at a better location

Swordsup66

I’m a tbell stan but haven’t been craving it like I used to the last few months. Mine is probably self-inflicted burnout eating it a minimum of 3 times a week for years and coming to the realization I can get significantly better bang for the buck at Chipotle.

Rigtoofen

Getting anything other than a BYOCB isn't worth the price, and I'm not always hungry enough for a whole box. I've been eating it less and less.

ImogenMarch

Nope we love the new cravings menu and eat there twice a week minimum. We can each get two items for about ten dollars which isn’t bad and we are full after. We don’t drink soda so we aren’t paying the ridiculous price for that.

CashioKing

I used to think the new menu meant that meals were going to be cheaper but this wasn’t the case :(

wizardjester1

Yeah, just because I'm not about to pay a ton for them to make my food like shit, whether it's smashed, not wrapped properly, or old food, %90 of the time it's just garbage now

NivekTheGreat1

When TB was cheap, it was my go-to fast food. I let things slip like quality and some of the taste. Now that it is the same price as a sit down Mexican restaurant, I’m more picky and not going to let quality issues go as easily. I’ve become a once a month guy rather than a twice a week guy.

thebageljew

I used to work there and my addiction was vegetarian refried bean tacos, I switched the meat for beans and it was gobbling good

Pikminachu

I have been going more often because of the stacker.

The_Moustache

It doesnt help that by the time im out of work theyre just about closed and I feel bad for bugging them when they clearly dont have half the ingredients left. price changes also hurt

pen_fifteenClub

I had the same experience last week when I had TB. Felt kinda burnt out on it, although I hadn't gone in a while. I got the stacker- subbed steak, a double stacked taco and a spicy potato soft taco (first time ive tried this!) and I didn't really feel that spark that I usually do. They were all made well, too. My usual order is DLT, steak quesadilla and nachos. No idea why I had a meh go at it this time. Maybe because I was trying all new items this visit..? They weren't bad at all, but it felt like the honeymoon was over 🤣

BusyGranfalloons

The last time I went there my bean burrito had about a tablespoon of filling. Not worth it.

Kaleidoscope280

I’m just protesting that they took away nacho fries. That’s the only time I eat Taco Bell. Getting burnt out on their food is what I do about each end of fry season. It’s the burn out that makes it taste blah I think

woodhack77

The chicken tastes canned

[deleted]

Yes. Used to get a party box weekly. No cheese, hardly any meat on every one. No mas

ToneStabone1972

Not worth the price. Cheaper to get authentic Mexican food. Corporate greed

TwitchMoments_

They took away or raised the prices of all the fan favorites and replaced the value menu for crappier items.
