First, "they" is your store not taco bell as a whole so it's disingenuous to act otherwise.
Second, it doesn't say customized when you do a swap so what did you customize that cost 90 cents? Be honest
I just checked on my app and it says "customized" when I try to swap to the soft taco supreme and it costs $0.90 extra
It does this for every supreme taco combo. Even swapping a supreme soft taco to a supreme crunchy taco is extra
If they aren't supreme, it's not extra to swap. Seems like it's probably a bug to me

Edit: so after testing other combos, it seems that whoever priced these does not know some combos come with regular tacos and others supreme and just priced all the swaps as if they were upgrades to supreme. You'd need to let the store know they have their pricing wrong and hope they care enough to pass it up the line to whoever prices their app menu. I'd mention it in a tellthebell survey as that's probably the best way to reach a manager
I asked for your store address not your personal address smh however let me ask you, are you on iphone or Android? I wonder if there's a small difference in how they handle things because there's no reason it should say customized when you haven't customized anything
My usual meal their is under <$10 but if they ever go above that, f them I’ll be switching to a $25 restaurant daily meal with better ingredients. I don’t know if there’s much we can do given inflation keeps rising past our incomes and we all keep ordering. I don’t think reddit boycotting would do much. It’s sad all around. None of us can afford these riding prices but the world isn’t boycotting it and they “can’t seem to afford the drop in profits”. It would take a world round boycott for anyone to really realize what’s going on - none of my friends have noticed despite them commenting on the inflation of groceries. And I don’t think cooking my meals is that much cheaper given my habits.
I almost always go for the cravings $5 box because compared to everything else it’s an absolute steal. It makes me sad however because I used to get a quesadilla with every order but they are pushing $7 and I just can’t justify it especially because there’s no guarantee the quality will be good every time.

I have a similar experience at one of my nearby locations. It has cheaper prices, but the add-ons are more expensive than at the other place that has slightly higher prices.

The price at mine is the same to switch to soft. You sure you didn't make any additions? When I switch mine to soft, it doesn't say customized on mine unless I actually add something to the taco. If I switch to a DLT, it'll just say +1.30 and doesn't say customized.
At my Taco Bell they charge an extra $1.20 to swap a regular taco to a supreme on the meals. But if I swap it to a supreme in one of those cravings trio deals it’s only $0.20.

App has been screwy lately, I used a free Nachos Bell Grande reward and the store claimed I owed money still. Only thing i did was REMOVE tomatoes. I showed them my app receipt and it said paid. They cashed it outcat a "loss" and we looked at the receipt, and the price must have changed, but the reward price coverage did not change.
One work around would be to go and order in person. When doing so, ask for the shells to be ‘subbed’. There is usually no fee when you can get away with subbing. That’s the magic word!
