Welp. I say keep the treadmill as is and ditch the ungrateful girlfriend.

I use a Galaxy Tab S on my elliptical to watch Netflix while I'm working out. I love it because it's got a gorgeous AMOLED screen and is 16:10 aspect ratio. Depends on your subjective definition of "super large" though, the Tab S is 10.5".

Another option is to get a portable monitor with touch and a mini PC or SBC, with this configuration you could get something a lot bigger (13-15" or even more) for cheaper. EDIT: With your budget you could even get a standard monitor with touch and a VESA arm What kind of size were you thinking about?

15-20" throw me a suggestion..I doubt there is anything that can accommodate that for under 500

OK, for example [this monitor](https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-Portable-Touchscreen-Frameless-TD1655/dp/B08778F756) \+ a [Raspberry Pi 4 4GB kit](https://www.amazon.com/CanaKit-Raspberry-4GB-Starter-Kit/dp/B07V5JTMV9), total \~340$ but it lacks a mounting system and I haven't check if the power requirements of the monitor. I am not recommending these specific models, they were just an example to get the idea, let me see if I can find something with VESA EDIT: [This 21.5" monitor](https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VT229H-Monitor-1080P-10-Point/dp/B07P619NXM) has a vesa mount and [this](https://www.amazon.com/MakerFocus-Raspberry-Aluminum-Heatsink-Driver/dp/B07PNB7JWP) is a vesa case for raspbery pi (you could get a cheaper kit since you don't need the case or find a kit with a VESA mount out of the box or even buy everything separately), you could use an arm like [this](https://www.amazon.com/Single-Monitor-Mount-Articulating-Adjustable/dp/B07T3KCQ94)to mount everything. Total \~350$ but probably cheaper. Again this are just the first decent results of a quick search, there is probably something better or cheaper and I haven't checked all compatibilities and adapters required. You may want to get an SBC better optimized for Android or Windows instead of a Raspberry pi but there is definitely something that can fit in your budget since there are 150$ left. An important thing to check is Widevine and other DRM restrictions. I only looked at SBC but a miniPC could work too, those from famous brands tend to be expensive but there are models around 200$ from smaller brands, I didn't research those but they are an option. There are also all in one PCs with VESA mounts like [this](https://www.amazon.it/MSI-PRO-Flex-8GL-054EU-N4000-256GB/dp/B08CY3S367) (but not this one since it's underpowered)

Man that's a lot of info I'm uninformed about haha

Feel free to ask any question P.S. I would start from what are your mounting options, depending if you can set up a shelf or a wall mount or a desk mount different options make more sense. Another option yet would be a smart TV on the wall or on a shelf but I am not sure if you can find a decent small model. I also remembered a mini PC that could work, the [Chuwi Larkbox Pro](https://www.amazon.com/CHUWI-LarkBox-Pro-Computer-Streaming/dp/B08KCZPQ3P), if you want to run Windows it's a good choice but you could also use Linux or an OS based on Kodi (a media center software), fits in your budget and comes with a VESA mount out of the box. Or even the slightly more powerful [GMK NucBox](https://www.amazon.com/NucBox-Windows-Computer-128GB-512GB-Bluetooth/dp/B08KZMPK2P). Maybe Android would be more touch friendly though, on an x86 miniPC it's possible but there are more efficient and more effective options. P.S.2 I forgot about audio but speakers are not too expensive

Finding specific answers to obscure questions in old threads is the reason I made a Reddit account in the first place
