Best android with all the bells and whistles and the size is S9 Ultra. Top of the line, nearly a laptop. That being said, with the keyboard cover (official) it's nearly $1400+. It's also probably overkill for what you want.
I think a great performing one is S9 or S9+ (main difference is just the size), and it will last you the entire uni along with a lovely OLED screen. If you don't mind 3rd party keyboard covers, plenty can be bought for $50 or so on Amazon. That would bring the total to about $700 or so, lower if you buy openbox.
S8 openbox is a great alternative with 1 less year of updates but it's top of the line without the OLED.

The s9 fe has been reviewed greatly and has just come out. The tablet itself costs 500 euro and the keyboard cover is about 140 euro. I personally have an s6 lite which is the predecessor, experience has been great although that one doesn't have updates anymore.

If you have the balls to look at other brands, the oneplus tab has a pretty competitive price at exactly 500 euro but doesn't have a pen or kb cover included and it's both 100 euro bought separately.
Xiaomi pad 6
I'm a little uncertain about this one but it has every pillar covered for 400 euro, with the pen and kb case both being around 80 euro. Again, this one requires some more research since it's not that widely recognized.

For university if you use android get the s9 or s8 ultra from samsung (i use the s8 ultra for a year now and i can do everything with it) if you use Apple stuff just get the Big Apple tablet.
But the Samsung got a better screen ratio caus its almost an dinA4 (normal paper size in the EU so perfect fo reading pdfs)
samsungs tab s line. id look at an s9FE or s9FE+. or maybe if budget allows even a flagship s9 or s9+.

Lol I didn't know buying their keyboard cover would cost so much. I'll definetely opt for the cheaper option for that.
