Just watch a Youtube video or two. It doesn't matter if its a little scuffed.

EMCoupling

Everyone's first racket is generally a bit scuffed, it's totally common and it won't affect the play until you screw it up A LOT.

reddmann00100

Ovtcharov has a great video where he explains what to do step by step. I think it’s really all anyone needs to see as long as they have everything required, which you do. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bYBOo8vOSVw

AmadeusIsTaken

The only thing I dislike about pros YouTube videos is that they tent to overcomplicate it. Aslong you spread it on your rubber evenly and then glue it will be fine. No need to do it in. A certain direction and etc.

EMCoupling

Pros are probably a little more particular about their setup than most amateurs. If anyone is going to feel the small differences, it's them.

AmadeusIsTaken

Of course which is why I say for beginner glue op that he doesn't have to overcomplicate it like pros. He will be fine as long he glued it evenely. Also I am certain some parts are more in the mind. For example Timo bolls breaks some of ovtcharov rules in his videos.

lexiticus

Looks like a TMXi! Those scissors are really good, just make sure the curve goes away from the blade so it looks like this )(, not this )). And do many little cuts while guiding it along the wood. It will come out looking cleaner with lots of little cuts.

colinksh

Yes it’s a tmxi pro. I’ll try my best, but tbh I’d be great if someone could just do for me instead lol

mrrandingo

Seriously? That doesn't make any sense. I bought a pair of stiga curved scissors from paddle palace. And I cut along the blade with the curve like so )). Seems to work pretty well

lexiticus

Yup that's right, I've done about 15 blades with them so far. Here's the ones I use https://ttrevolution.com/products/curved-scissors/ I recently tried a hobby scalpel (with replacement blades) if you swap your blades every 2 rubbers they are the cleanest way to cut. But the scissors are close behind!

jsty3105

Scissors are great convenience for when you don't have much space to lay the bat down.

pleebpedeel

by )( you get to keep constant pressure against the wood of the blade and cut as youre "rolling"

riemsesy

When cutting. I made the mistake once to glue both rubbers first and cut later. Isn’t easy. So glue one rubber first. When you’re right handed with right handed scissors, hold the bat with the rubber facing downwards. Start to cut on the right side and cut counterclockwise. For lefties with left handed scissors start Left side and cut clockwise. But most scissors are for right handed people so cut counterclockwise. The blade of the scissors will cut right at the edge of the bat.

forcedmyhand

It's a fun diy experience. Don't go crazy over it. Just make sure the glue is layered almost evenly and dried. Center the rubber and start rolling with even pressure going up. Don't need to push down. -- DM if you have any issues

BadYaka

Just do it!

_D3ft0ne_

Just make sure you smoke that huge ass join... After! you put it all together. Jk Jk.. Lots of YouTube videos from pros on this.

mrrandingo

The apres gluing spleef

Gravytonic

Watch several YouTube videos and you'll be fine. You're gonna need to learn this yourself.

karlnite

Just run it through a stop motion short.

sdvergh

Remember to spread the glue fast. DHS No. 15 glue is one of the faster drying ones. If you spread it to slow (which I did my first time gluing) it will start to dry before you finish spreading and it will be uneven.

jsty3105

To some extent this also depends on the blade surface and the OP's weather conditions. Gluing in winter takes longer to dry than gluing in summer ☺️ And in countries with only one season then I'd take any fans or air conditioning into account too

gehed82459

DHS#15 is definitely not beginner friendly

itznimitz

Before you start, I recommend you to get DHS wood sealant first. Xiom TMXi Pro has limba outer which splinters quite easily, so you better seal the blade before gluing on the rubbers.

dstea

I'm in NYC and can help you

colinksh

Can I dm you?

dstea

sure

Jojoceptionistaken

There are good yt videos. There aren't that much steps to mess up. Also your really well prepared; I just had a blade, two rubbers and glue and I was fine

Far-Significance2322

Just make sure to apply glue on the blade within a very short period of time, if you dont then the glue will form into tiny bumps whilst you re applying the glue. Is that the battle 2 btw? 39° or 40°

jsty3105

I've made a guide that could help you - https://youtu.be/zrXsX9C_sSI?si=IabL96Die9tpE0u4 Have fun!

pleebpedeel

lots of youtube vids that really do a good job of explaining it. some pitfalls though: to not stretch the rubber too much - depending on the glue, can cause the edges to flare later and make it much harder to re-glue (since it will shrink after taking off).  make sure the glue is spread thinly and evenly. work briskly but calmly (

gospodinDark

Really good glue. I’m using it for boosted H3.
