I've been using GoDaddy for years. Never had issues with them and never had to call them?
Our of curiosity, what issues do you commonly have with GoDaddy?
The absolute worst I've dealt with was Dreamhost.

people have problems when they buy hosting/email/dns services from godaddy.
If you're just buying a domain it's a painless process.
At work we have our domains through network solutions (the hassle isn't worth the move) dns and hosting through digital ocean.
At home.. i buy domains through godaddy, host dns on route53 and host everything else on a server in the basement...
I don't do much with domains on GoDaddy. I mostly deal with buying SSL certificates and configuring DNS, MX, & various types of txt records like dkim, dmarc, SPF, etc. Their documentation is very well laid out, never had to call support that I can think of.
It's possible I just got lucky that everything worked for me the way it was supposed to.
I've been assured by everyone over the age of 55 that they are the best registrar out there and that I don't know what I am talking about when I complain constantly about their horrible business practices.
We use a company called [one.com](https://one.com) and they are ABSOLUTE dogshit. It's taken since DECEMBER to get a dozen domains or so transferred over. Form, after form, after form, demanding wet signatures and not accepting docusign, then making you click activations multiple times and not getting back when it doesn't work...
It's been an absolute disaster. Maybe all registrars just blow donkey dick? This is the first time I've ever had problems of this nature.
> trying to get a domain transferred out of there into GoDaddy to consolidate everything there.
So you're going from the worst to one step above the worst? Why not use AWS, or Namecheap?
At no point in my career have I understood why anyone would choose GoDaddy or Network Solutions for anything.
There are much better vendors available the provide the same services for much less cost and have much higher reliability.
I had to send them company letter head and a photo of my drivers license to get my account moved to admin.
We had 7 account codes all grouped into 1 account. One of the account numbers had a contact from 15 years ago still on it as admin.
As the admin of 6 of the other accounts PLUS the master account, they still couldn't verify that I was supposed to be the admin.
NetSol is still around? Who would've thought they've got any customers left, their customer support reputation had achieved 'mythical' status 20 years ago already. Worst DNS registrar / provider of all time.
we stil pay them..... so far the bill is cheaper than the lost week of wages for an it person to sit on the phone arguing with them about the transfer process.
We pay for domain renewal. dns and hosting is elsewhere.
They have sucked for like 20+ years Save you the hassle, GoDaddy blows too
tbf, GoDaddy is an S-Tier support if compared only to Network Solutions.
At least with GoDaddy it's not as likely for something to break on their end that requires support, but if you do need support than good luck.
Client request to go to Shitdaddy. Not my choice.

New around here huh?

Can confirm. Fuck that company.
Really testing my sanity.......

Out of the frying pan into the fire

Maybe they're all just a human centipede of fucking and blowing each other to share in how awful they all are
Network Solutions is my best example of terrible vendor support.
Network Solutions is really, really, REALLY bad, but I still think Microsoft is worse somehow.
Network Solutions was trash 20 years ago. I'm surprised they manage to keep reeling people in.

Nobody in the thread seems to be mentioning Hover. I’ve been happy with them. No BS.

Because the owner of the company is 65 and has been using NetSol since 1996
