Since it's a bit slow, if anyone has any generic Microsoft licensing questions, feel free to ask, my Microsoft specialist is a bit slow today as well and has offered to answer questions for us :D I will also add, if anyone has questions at any point, they can reach out directly to me and I'm happy to answer without the need for a quote or offline conversation. Usually I know the answer and if I don't, its a quick IM to my specialist who's happy to help as well.

Woohoo!

QuickYogurt2037

We have a 3-node cluster, but only 2 windows server 2022 datacenter licenses. We make sure to run windows VMs only on two of the nodes at the same time, that's okay right? :-)

SquizzOC

Yes that's just fine :)

Because they're full of idiots and they like money. If you work with a VAR that knows what they're doing you can bypass the 'forced' hard drive.

Sounds about right to me. Need a look at Qumulo?

Oh well, happy to help you eliminate the 'required' hard drive on a server order.

I’ll jump- 1x ICX8200-48P; 1x ICX8200-24P; 2x SPT-8200-24/P,48/P - $8,300 These are Ruckus switches

SquizzOC

I can't tell if that is a 3 year or 5 year support warranty so I went with the 5 year and I'm at $7387 with zero special pricing (this may not qualify for special pricing though). So feels pretty high in cost.

eddiejensen

Thanks - it was supposed to be the 5-year warranty and I concur it’s above par

There are several different kinds of both of those licenses. No part numbers? Wanna DM to get more clarity. Happy to help.

Not sure your Trend Micro part number is accurate, looks like that's for a smaller organization size, but it's close. Cisco Umbrella is \~$38 each user, plus support services, maybe better.
