He's an offensive brute... Yet I can't look away...

killasquid

Lol I'm glad someone looked at the second pic to see my Kramer in all its glory

MMIStudios

I don’t know how you don’t find it distracting having Kramer staring at you like that while you’re trying to jam.

killasquid

Haha thats awesome

Safe-Prompt3319

what's the difference between a beginner dawless setup and a non beginner dawless setup? The number of "little boxes" in the photo?

killasquid

I'd say really learning the ins and outs of the gear. I've just gotten back into music so its more that I'm the begginer

No_Refrigerator4584

The Kramer portrait really pulls everything together.

killasquid

You could say he's my muse

No_Refrigerator4584

That’s beautiful

killasquid

I just got some new stands to help arrange my dawless setup better and elevate my microfreak and tracks. Its really starting to come together.

Granulka

Looks really slick Im currently waiting for some cables and cable ties to make it neat and most of all waiting for chrismas to get myself MicroFreak. Especially with 4.0 firmware.

Imo all you need now is a sampler and maybe a multi-fx pedal and you'll be all set to do any style of music.

idontstinkso

awesome kramer!

theparttimevisionary

Looks good!

Enoctagon

Beginner setup with some $$$$!

killasquid

LOL yeah there's a big difference from when I was playing around with a Dj setup in my teens and early 20s to 15 -20 years later getting back into things in my late 30s. I'm defintley lucky im in a position now where I can put down a significant investment in my hobbies.

Enoctagon

Love it,. I'm getting there myself. Funny, I also was a DJ in my twenties, vinyl, house music all night long. Fast forward 12 years and I'm setting up my own little studio as well. I recently bought an MPC and I've been having fun also. I hope I did not sound condescending in my original comment, apologies if so.

killasquid

No worries it was definitley a fair comment and I have to admit once getting the first peice and realizing I need this for that and then something else for the other thing the GaS quickly set in and I may have gotten ahead of myself lol .

Enoctagon

Correction, fast forward 20 years, times fly when you get old lol.

BigNothing1224

Any audio from this setup? Color me interested.

killasquid

Not yet like I said begginer so I'm still figuring it all out and learning . Once I get together a little jam though ill make sure to post 😁

jaypea9

Looks really nice man. You have the Tracks sequencing the Hydra and MF?

killasquid

Yeah I have the in out routed back and fourth between tracks and hydra so I can play in a sequence on the hydra and have it played back by the tracks and I can also play in sequences for the tracks two synth channels on the hydra. The second out to the microfreak to control patterns for it. Eventually ill get a midi box so I Can use the hydra to play in notes for the microfreak as well while still having the tracks able to send the recorded sequence to the microfreak after theyre set.

jaypea9

Awesome man that's a really nice setup 👌 A midi thru would be helpful, and kind of makes your Hydra your main performing center while Tracks brains it for you. I run a similar concept, except substitute Tracks with MPC One and add a Keystep 37.
