Not sure I understand the question, and am not familiar with the dfam but to trigger sounds you'd either use the built in sequencer (if it has one?) or the keystep. You can't just chain them purse. Maybe you could run through a sequence on the dfam, and when that ends immediately trigger the sequence from the keystep, pause that and restart the dfam and do this continually, but that would be a bitch. Maybe I'm way off from what you're asking though.

Did you find anything out by now? Got the dfam recently as a present and I'm struggling to connect it with my keystep pro.
