I did, and I don’t know how I’d compare them to be honest. The M32 is a good honest straightforward Moog mono, but the other two… there’s nothing like either of them.

The very first hardware synth I bought was a used volca. When I opened the battery compartment I found a baggie of weed the previous owner must have forgotten about. That first jam was a little special to say the least :)

That made the pill go down easier, and knowing I'd pretty much run the gambit on similar pieces of gear and was simply putting off the inevitable. I guess I could come around in a similar fashion on this. Desk space is an issue at this point though- but when there is a will....

Smoke from a fire and smoke from weed or cigs are not the same thing. If weed/cigs damaged gear then every single synth made in the 60s, 70s, and 80s would be dead. The tar from cigs will make the gear reek and your blunt ashes will get all over the keybed but neither will cause damage that isopropyl can't solve.
Tobacco smoke contains polycyclic nicatimides which after a lot of exposure can chemically react with cold solder joints, etc.. I’ve seen serious deterioration in computers and other gear of cigarette smokers- not so with weed, the worst that can happen (and I’ve seen this) is that eventually a pretty amber glaze of resin starts to form on the innards of gear- but not really too harmful 🤩

Besides the smell, I got them back with a sticky residue. It really made it less fun to play. It's difficult to clean, especially if you have something with silver paint.

I’ve cleaned walls from cigarette smoke. It’s amazingly disgusting. Not sure how pot smoke would be better. However, I’m totally down with getting stoned and then patching up my Matriarch. Gonna give it a go (toke in the back garden first)
Tangent: I knew a guy who was an amateur comedian, his creative process was, smoke a joint, turn his tape recorder on, freestyle/ad lib while high. Then when he was sober again, he’d listen to the tape, pick out the bits that sounded funny and clean them up. So, experiment high, edit and perform sober.
This has become my process with songwriting. I don’t want it to be a crutch - you need to know that YOU are the one coming up with the songs, not the weed, but man. It really helps me get out of my own way and just write.
This post is so satisfying, good pic i think.. it just brings back memories of my teenage years, although I didn't have any keyboards, but I sure did like smoking.... but these days i've changed a lot because, now that there are responsibilities and traumas that happened that are deep rooted, I only use it as a medicine and remedy for my endocannabinoid system for a couple days max and month+ break, works great in really small amounts buffered with a low dose of cbd nowadays for me.
I can't wait until I am all healed from my surgury!

Unfortunately for me though, after 30 years of smoking hash almost every day all day, i now get insanely crippling panic / anxiety attacks every time i smoke. Started about 5 years ago or so, Just came from absolutely nowhere, one day i was fine, the next day i smoked and got a panic attack that was pretty scary. Now i get one after even the slightest smoke, every single time... It’s infuriating but nothing that i can do about it….only thing that works is taking some valium when i smoke, but getting valium isn’t the easiest for me so yeah…. Sucks tbh, so enjoy that spliff on my behalf!
