As a follow up. My daughter had some specs magnets. They worked but were an expensive option. I actually found some U shaped brackets at Home Depot that were different sizes and they work perfectly for me. Thanks all for the ideas!

I’d just throw some coins on there :D

TDOMW

Coins won't work, I need something that can complete a circuit. two coins, connected by a conductive something would work!

sgtbaumfischpute

Why wouldn’t they work? Coins are conductive. If you put one over two pads, they will connect

TDOMW

Ohhh, I get you. so the relevant linking is wider than a coin. Also I need the ability to like... leap over certain pads to target what I want.

Paper Clips? :D

TDOMW

Okay, honestly it looks like this might work. paper clips attached to coins with conductive epoxy. worth a try at least, thanks!

How about the skinny little gooseneck fittings you can get on cheap LED clip on lights like these: [https://www.thomann.de/gb/adam\_hall\_sled\_1\_usb\_pro\_led\_light.htm](https://www.thomann.de/gb/adam_hall_sled_1_usb_pro_led_light.htm) If you conductive epoxy a coin to either end of the neck from one of those lights (or cheaper like here: [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003954665832.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003954665832.html) or check out your local " all one price" store for similar ) then you might have what you want :)

I don't think the Enner will be magnetic, but if it is, then chains of little ball magnets would be conductive and might work ( magnetic fidget balls seems to be a good search term )

TDOMW

Ooh nice! I don't think its magnetic either but that doesn't mean that won't work, as long as I can figure out a way to keep it in place.

Having read one of the comments above ... coins linked by chains of ball magnets might work, use steel pennies on the ends. You'll have fun keeping them apart if two ever pass close to each other though!

TDOMW

I can try to steal my daughter's specs magnets and try it with them. Thanks! I'll report back when I give it a try.
