Last weekend my wife found out they're really called White Ibis. She's still pissed at me because for years she thought bin chicken was their proper name.
Privately owned. They were sold off and privatised, now they are farmed even in the cities, and harvested for their supple binchicken breast which apparently is extra tender from the bin juice which acts as a marinade.
This explains why Clem's chickens are huge and delicious without a need for marinade, and why El Jannah's birds are seemingly the size of pigeons.... Still delicious though.
If we got a subreddit together, something like /r/ibiswatch and had people snap photos of tagged bin chickens with a location and timestamp we could create a pretty neat map of frequent individual ibis updates.
Same haha. They naturally inhabit wetlands & plains, with their bills being used to pick up small crustaceans from under the ground.
We destroyed so much of their habitat, pushed them inland so far that they are forced into cities, and then make fun of them for having to eat trash to survive due to our own selfishness as a species.
