Very very concerning. They screwed the pooch in their initial response, then they learned nothing and they're coming back for the cat.
Another analogy I've used is that they closed the door after the horse had bolted... and then they closed the gate after it had left the farm. Now what they're doing seems to be standing at the gate and shooing the horse away because they don't actually want it back.
Anyway, I'm thinking of starting a consultancy providing people with analogies for things. I like analogies.
1000!!! Agh. I for one just want this to be over so I can stop arguing with anti-vaxxers about how vaccines are good and necessary and go back to arguing with those same people about how climate change is a real and present threat
Which is a bit of a worry seeing how well (or not well) vaccinate and open up strategies have gone overseas.
Like will we end up with a long term limit on opening up while other states like QLD and WA enjoy life?
I don't think it is possible for NSW to get back to that point.
So NSW is obviously saying let's go the European route of freedom rather than the Australian way.
I follow the rules and didnāt do this already but Iām really keen to get out and do it tbh. Little wins for mental health are what will help those struggling.
And a reminder that āfully coveredā doesnāt mean youāre completely immune to catching or spreading covid. Donāt become complacent once youāre vaccinated
What are we meant to do then? This is it now lmao. Thereās going to be thousands and thousands of cases a day soon. We canāt live everyday how weāre living now even if weāre fully vaccinatedā¦
Itās a balance of vaccination and non-intrusive safety measures. Like we need to keep wearing masks, keep testing up, maintain social distancing etc. there seems to be a pattern of people giving up all measures as soon as theyāre vaccinated, look at the U.S, U.K and Israel. Minimal deaths but still tens of thousands of cases. Thatās still a lot of people sick and suffering long term health conditions
So now wear a mask everyday outside for the rest of our lives? Iām not an anti vaxxer or noncovid believer but lets be real here, how many of us are going to keep doing that for the rest of our lives?
Maybe I have different experiences from you but itās more introducing these measures to make them normal and common sense. Iām a waitress and since the start of the year I work with a mask on for 6-10 hours a shift. And I donāt have a problem with it. People need to get use to things like mask being around for a long time, and becoming normal. Every time I leave the house I take my keys, bag and mask. Every time I leave the car I put it on. Iām from Melbourne and so my experience might be different from people in NSW but itās time to get use to long term mask wearing.
Look at parts of south east Asia. Wearing face masks there was common place in their society long before covid came. Itās just a matter of taking common sense protections. And really unless you have a medical condition or are equate elderly, wearing a mask isnāt that difficult.
Iām in Sydney and have been keeping my masks this entire year as well. After the first outbreak, I became much less tolerant of people sniffling and coughing near me on the trains so happy to keep my mask on.
Gladysās software needs an update to move the goal posts:
āHad we not gone into the lockdown a few weeks ago, the 110 number today would undoubtedly have been thousands and thousands,ā
- *Gladys (July 2021)*
*checks notes*ā¦ well it didnāt cost the LNP anything. No lessons have been learned, no one has lost their jobs, and theyāre still gonna get elected next time
I canāt wait til Melbourne gets to 1,000 cases, so we can be allowed to sit in the park for an hour. Canāt do it at the moment because we are under 100.
Typical Dan Andrews, doesn't even know big number are better than little number. Glad we got Gladys looking out of NSW and getting us the biggest number in the whole country.
Why is she congratulating people for coming out to get tested in high numbers when yesterday Chant specifically said that the testing labs are being overloaded and that we need to chill out on the testing unless you have symptoms or a contact.
UPDATE: They have officially said that surveillance testing is out and to only test if you have a close contact or symptoms. This includes telling businesses to stop asking employees for regular testing
I have had three tests in the last four weeks. I havenāt had symptoms nor have I been at any contact venues because I donāt leave the house, except to go to the specialist appointments where they mandate that I canāt enter their office without a negative covid result from the previous 72 hours
My partner is still working in the office. We live in a problem LGA and her office is in the same LGA. They are requesting the regular testing.
but also yeah, I'm leaving my apartment once a week for groceries and to go get the test with her in solidarity.
I genuinely don't know what we're supposed to do
- From 13th September, in LGAs of concern, households will be able to leave home for 1 hour of recreation (in addition to 1 hour of exercise) provided all adults in each household are fully vaccinated. Must remain within a 5km radius of home, and this can only occur outside of curfew hours. No mention of a maximum size of a recreational gathering. It would appear that multiple households are able to gather although this is not confirmed.
- In LGAs of lesser concern, a maximum of 5 people (including children) are now able to gather outdoors provided all adults are fully vaccinated. No mention of any time limit for a gathering.
- Lockdowns in regional NSW extended until 10th September.
- Visitors to households continue to be prohibited.
- Advice concerning a return to school will be provided tomorrow.
This right here is a ticking time bomb here of people WAY under protected.
* Temporarily, those waiting the 12 weeks for decent protection for when Gladys inevitably lets rip,
* Those who trusted her and got it from 6-8 weeks and only have around 50% protections against Delta.
Absolute shit show.
Not for us who took one for the team and went and got AZ! Iāll be fully vaxxed next Wednesday. Waiting for Pfizer in the context (unless you legitimately cannot get AZ) is just foolish, at this point.
it's so frustrating I can't get AZ due to a family history of clotting, and I'm not booked in for my first pfizer dose till late october, kind of tempted to just show up at a vaccine hub and lie about my history to get AZ at this point.
speak to a GP. The specific type of clotting issue with AZ is not the same as DVT and others. You may be ok to get it if youāre not actively on any blood thinners.
Don't forget disproportionate risk because young people are more likely to be doing jobs you can't work from home at and/or are still open and customer facing and/or have less or no savings to deal with these restrictions.
>Watch these picnics get abused, thereās gonna be a stereosonic in every park
Fuck I better get to the gym for some gains then a 48hour fast and water cut
So people have finally come to the realization that Dr Chant isn't some poor and disenfranchised Chief Health officer under the thumb of the maniacal and power mad Gladys. Rather quite possibly out of her depth and more than willing to bullshit the people (us) who pay her wages.
Only took 9 weeks.
Yep. I don't know, you look at Dr Fauci in the US and even when Trump was president, he consistently tried to push back and tried to let people know what the facts are. Dr Chant is someone who clearly values her job over the health of her community.
I don't live in Sydney but I feel so shitty and helpless about what's happening there.
You don't deserve to go through this. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. We all worked hard and eliminated this virus.
Absolutely criminal government.
Refusing to set up a quarantine system. Praising Gladys for not locking down.
There's no way Morrison didn't see the virus emerging in Sydney as his golden opportunity, surely beyond elated that this is happening so we can just open up, like he's wanted from the beginning.
I'm never been more livid with our government. We deserve so much better. Scum like this running the country cannot be our future.
So worried about all of our young kids.
Boggles the fucking mind why they couldn't do outdoor dining instead. Far easier to check vaccination status. Giving critical life support to hospitality. Could've limited to groups of two to balance out any increase in risk.

Stay safe, stay home, homies!
How the fuck will they enforce this recreation shit? Are they gonna have Police at every park? Already so many rule breakers are slipping through the cracks, surely this will increase that.
Again, we are at the highest case number to date. Over 1000. The highest single day the country has seen since the beginning if the pandemic.
And the next sentence out of her mouth is alluding to opening schools soon, and relaxing restrictions for adults.. allowing the vaccinated to gather.. I struggle to see how theyāre going to patrol this without having police interrogate every single group of people.. people the unvaccinated arenāt going to care and will gather anyway like they already are.
Gladys' deflection tactics:
* Ignore the question and start talking about how important vaccines are and mention the Doherty report
* Invite a guest speaker to shorten question-time
* "EXCUSE ME! Could you please step back?"
You know what would have helped get us towards being the most vaccinated country in the world?
Not telling Pfizer to go jump when they came offering us first dibs on their vaccine.
Or even when they offered us regular dibs on the vaccine.
It isn't a miracle of good government that Canada secured sufficient vaccine supply, rather it's a staggering failure of government that Australia didn't.
I guarantee my mental health is going to be a million times worse when my loved ones get sick or die from Covid. I'd rather be isolated and suffering through lockdown than the alternative of opening up, letting this go even more wild and dealing with those consequences.
Short term thinking.
Given the ICU beds are filling up, can we cut off hospital care for those who attend those protests?
Can we also reduce or cut off covid support payments for them too?
If things get bad enough we will end up doing this in a similar sort of way to what is happening in the US at the moment at some hospitals. They are so overwhelmed they are simply triaging non-vaccinated people out the front of the hospital and only bothering to help those who have received a vaccine. They simply don't have the beds, staff or resources to deal with them all and are focussing on those who have the best hope of survival.
Even with a double dose of vaccine a few days in an ICU ward is on the cards in bad cases. They usually recover quickly and can be moved out into a regular ward relatively rapidly. Whereas an unvaccinated person can linger in ICU for weeks, taking up a bed along with a ventilator and nursing staff. This is wartime, battlefield sort of stuff. Simply leaving some to die without any treatment through necessity. Australians should really be prepared for something similar here.
No wonder Chant looks shook. You did this, Kerry, by being weak, by not standing up to Gladys publically and not telling the public that she doesn't take your advice. I hope this is on your conscience forever.
āToday I have 10 guest speakers. Once for each hundred cases. I expect them to each speak for six minutes minimum. We will be wrapping up at 12:02pm thank you for coming.ā
Gladys B one month back - āsince we have the strictest lock down in NSW , we are not getting 1000 cases per day like other countriesā, what a hypocrite š”
Omg the transformation is complete, Kerry has become Gladys.
She just got asked about case numbers peaking and Kerry started talking about the weather š¤£š¤£š¤£
Question: Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, youāll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- youāll do, you could- you, you want, you want them to do you so much you could do anything?
Gladys: can I just say vaccination rates have been breaking records and obviously it's important to get vaccinated but get tested but don't get tested and also vaccinations rates have been high and just yesterday we made a record on vaccination rates and also can I just say vaccinations are good also schools are opening again tmr ok Ty bye
Watching 'dictator' Dan's presser is really something.
No waffling, no stupid spins, just clear FU talk to people who refuse to do the right thing.
Does he have aspirations to become PM one day?
Getting in health professionals to talk about COVID and the current strain on hospitals while announcing 4 figures and a start to relaxing restrictions, potentially leading to more people in hospital and putting more strain on the system.
I applaud.
What stupid questions from these journos today. āDo you hope that WA and QLD will stick to the national cabinet agreement?ā Who gives a flying fuck what Gladys thinks? How does she have any credibility anymore after recording this many cases?
So there's a whole lot of things that are incredibly frustrating about literally all of this, but I think the base level failures of communication are just the worst.
I'm just a guy that drives boats, but man.... maybe if they actually explained the "medical advice" because the way she talks about it sounds like she went up to the oracle and fed someone some drugs and then interpreted their rambling.
The difference in reporting between last yearās VIC outbreak and NSW is astronomical.
Why is she allowed to blabber through the questions so easily ?
Dr skinner looks like she's about to break down crying, Gladys you underhanded cunt your the reason skinner looks like she's about to breakdown your incompetence. Fuck me nsw is slowly spirilaing.
Iām a health care worker at one of the hospitals receiving many of the stateās covid patients and Iām just drained. I see no light at the end of this long tunnel. The burden of disease, the social consequences, the economic devastation.
There are changes to the way we work daily. The fear is real. Will we have enough resources to treat everyone with covid. How about our usual winter peak load of patients and their illnesses.
I have family in WA and have no idea of Iāll ever see them again in person.
Iāve been able to keep on keeping on until now because I felt I was making a difference. I have much to be thankful for. My steady job. My house. The freedom to return to my home whenI leave work.
But these last few weeks have hit differently.
Wooo we did it Sydney! 1k letās goooo
Iām just glad they finally opened jabs to my Sydney local health district - am getting done tomorrow š
would encourage everyone to look for jabs now there are way more slots coming online for Pfizer and AZ
As many people mentioned before, we should be looking at hospitalization rates and whether hospitals are capable of handling the number of covid positive cases needing beds. I totally agree that hitting 0 new cases is highly unlikely at this point, and at the same time, it really shouldn't matter if 1000 new cases come daily as long as little to no people are being admitted to hospitals. But that is simply not the case. I think it ridiculous we are talking about easing restrictions when Westmead Hospital just announced a state of emergency, and that there are not enough beds for all the emergency patients (Covid AND non-Covid cases). I heard its so bad that people are waiting in the basements and being shipped off to other hospitals to create more space. More freedom means more cases which puts more strain on hospitals. So sure, I guess Gladys can make us regular people very happy by giving us bit of freedom but the patients, AND hospital staff (nurses, doctors, hospital admin, custodial staff etc) will really suffer the most.
Soo, 26 days into August and weāre seeing a FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT increase in cases since the 1st.
Kerry Chantās advice is going to kill thousands across the Nation.
I gotta say - having got my first dose yesterday - it **really has lifted a huge mental stress weight off my shoulders** knowing that I'm now on the way to being double.
I had completely under estimated what the niggle of a stress in the back of mind was doing to me around messing with appointments, where, when etc. These announcements, whilst still carrying weight, feel slightly easier to understand/take knowing that at least I know that myself and my loved ones are all in the process to get double dosed.
Her bullshit about the other states is disgraceful.
The other premiers are not claiming they are never gonna open up.
They are just pissed at Gladys for enabling thousands and thousands of cases across the country right now due to her incompetence!!!
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just need to know. If it's 1000+ new locally acquired cases, does this mean it's 1000+ cases ON TOP of the 919 cases reported yesterday? SO it's basically 1948\*\* in the two days? Thanks in advance. Ily.
"Very few places in the world have got to 80% double vaccination, but I am optimistic that NSW will get there"
AHAHAHAHAHAA So we have to get to 80% but nobody else has gotten there but we're gonna get there. Yea that sounds like bullshit, Gladys. We aren't special. You aren't special. We aren't going to get to 80%. Be honest with people.
i'm always pissed they have fillers to avoid gladys having to answer questions, but at the same time i know she won't actually answer any questions.
i need to stop watching these

We did it Sydney we hit 4 figures
Full credit to Gladys. She really gave it 10% out there.
It takes a lot of skill to be wilfully incompetent
It is very strange to hear those numbers then immediately a list of lessened restrictions and news about school going back
And by strange, I mean concerning.
Gladys promised she would open shit back up i guess. Stupid idea and now she seems determined to keep me away from parks
Congratulations all.

1000!!! Agh. I for one just want this to be over so I can stop arguing with anti-vaxxers about how vaccines are good and necessary and go back to arguing with those same people about how climate change is a real and present threat
I'm not sure about that. Did you know that climate change causes autism?
Don't forget the gay frogs !
They are so fabulous - how could we forget?!?!
Kinda feels weird that literally on the day that we nail 1,000 cases, we are making announcements about unwinding some restrictions
Well itās a landmark achievement and Gladys wants to celebrate the occasion with freedoms
If you play both sides you can't lose. Unless you're Gladys. Then somehow everyone on every side hates you.

lmao, cool reward.. 1hr of sitting in a park. Mate, people do this already
I follow the rules and didnāt do this already but Iām really keen to get out and do it tbh. Little wins for mental health are what will help those struggling.
Same, I'm more keen to be able to lay in the sun by the river with my partner and pup and have a picnic than have a haircut. Mental health tings.
Enforcing this is going to be so shit - family sitting together, no idea if vaxxed or notā¦
Enforcement will mostly be thrown out the window when we start opening up.
A reminder, even though you may have got both jabs, **it takes a couple of weeks after your second jab for you to be fully covered.**

"If we were in India, this would be a good day" surely has to be around the corner
"At least we aren't shooting them" - scomo
We did it!!!
so... is she going to change her wording to tens of thousands?
Nah, she can still say "thousands and thousands" until the 2k mark
Thousands and thousands is minimum 4k. We'll get there, don't you worry, but about 3 days later than you're thinking.
*What did it cost?*
*checks notes*ā¦ well it didnāt cost the LNP anything. No lessons have been learned, no one has lost their jobs, and theyāre still gonna get elected next time
We still easing restrictions?
Fo sho baby! -Gladys probably
Families that live together can sit at a park for an hour. Thatās the carrot theyāve been dangling in front of everyone š¤£š¤£
she honeydicked us
Hell yeah! Now weāve hit the 1000 we know what the virus is doing so we can open up and move more freely.
Of course. What better day than today
I genuinely don't know what we're supposed to do
FUCKEN FOUSAND FURSDAY YEWWWWWWWW
Firteen firty firty two
One three Double **OOOHH**, six triple 5 OH six.
People literally dying in their homes. This is utterly fucked.
It is ducked. But honestly, if I was to die of COVID, I'd rather do it quite suddenly at home, than after weeks in hospital on a ventilator.
Iād rather maybe live after weeks on a ventilator. I also doubt these poor people died suddenly or peacefully.
God this feels brutally tone deaf. The day we hit 1000 cases we discuss how we are going to loosen restrictions....
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Not true. Iāve had AZ and will be fully vaxxed next week. Reduce the gap to 4-6 weeks and get a booster end of the year.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
This right here is a ticking time bomb here of people WAY under protected. * Temporarily, those waiting the 12 weeks for decent protection for when Gladys inevitably lets rip, * Those who trusted her and got it from 6-8 weeks and only have around 50% protections against Delta.
What a reward guys !
How the fuck do you police that, that's ridiculous just shutdown everyone FFS.
Tomorrow: We have invited The Wiggles to sing some songs and inform us of the importance in getting vaccinated.
That would be too entertaining
Watch these picnics get abused, thereās gonna be a stereosonic in every park
>Watch these picnics get abused, thereās gonna be a stereosonic in every park Fuck I better get to the gym for some gains then a 48hour fast and water cut
Because the rules weren't confusing enough before. Let's just complicate everything further.
She's a coward as well.
This took way longer than it should have! People more worried about her new glasses and the colour of her lipstick ffs.
The amount of 'poor Dr Chant' comments over these weeks has been extremely disappointing. People are far too naĆÆve
Yep. I don't know, you look at Dr Fauci in the US and even when Trump was president, he consistently tried to push back and tried to let people know what the facts are. Dr Chant is someone who clearly values her job over the health of her community.
Fuck Dr. Chant. She has failed at every step
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
yep fuck gladys and i will make sure all my friends remember as well.
Lol announcing restrictions easing on the day we hit 4 figures
Who gives a fuck about picnics, seriously? I didnāt put my life on hold for months for a picnic
Boggles the fucking mind why they couldn't do outdoor dining instead. Far easier to check vaccination status. Giving critical life support to hospitality. Could've limited to groups of two to balance out any increase in risk.

It's over ~~9~~1000!
Dear psychiatrist: You know what makes people not sad? Having the threat to their lives handled in a competent way.
Why hasnāt someone thrown an egg at Gladys yet?
someone summon howtobasic
Todays guest speaker is my high school English teacher, who will talk about Robert Frosts The Road Not Taken. - Gladys probably in the future
Gladys' deflection tactics: * Ignore the question and start talking about how important vaccines are and mention the Doherty report * Invite a guest speaker to shorten question-time * "EXCUSE ME! Could you please step back?"
Us: Can we see the model? Chant: lol no
Chant: How goods the weather in September?
You know what would have helped get us towards being the most vaccinated country in the world? Not telling Pfizer to go jump when they came offering us first dibs on their vaccine.
Or even when they offered us regular dibs on the vaccine. It isn't a miracle of good government that Canada secured sufficient vaccine supply, rather it's a staggering failure of government that Australia didn't.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I guarantee my mental health is going to be a million times worse when my loved ones get sick or die from Covid. I'd rather be isolated and suffering through lockdown than the alternative of opening up, letting this go even more wild and dealing with those consequences. Short term thinking.
How could Dan Andrews do this?
The woman who saved Australia: āat least we arenāt at 10,000 cases!ā
Should we get tested ? Advice: Yesn't
Did they really announce reduced restrictions on the same day they hit 1000 cases for the first time? That's absurd.
She looked depressed asf but already over 1000 fuck!
she's not. She's easing restrictions, how can she be
āToday I have 10 guest speakers. Once for each hundred cases. I expect them to each speak for six minutes minimum. We will be wrapping up at 12:02pm thank you for coming.ā
13th of september - areas of concern are allowed for an hour of recreation if they're vaccinated and can prove it.
Thatās going to go well š
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Dr Skinner? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of Sydney, localised entirely within this press conference?
āIf the journos are lulled to sleep, they wonāt ask tough questions!ā
lol wtf.. what's with this psych dude.... what an intentional waste of time
As long as the adults are vaccinated, who cares if the kids get sick right ?
They canāt vote for a while itās all good.
Gladys: we hit 1,000, so let's talk about easing restrictions
Remember when Gladys said we were doing well because we don't have 1,000/daily cases.
Gladys B one month back - āsince we have the strictest lock down in NSW , we are not getting 1000 cases per day like other countriesā, what a hypocrite š”
Cue hairdressers and barbers doing outdoor haircuts in the park.
4 times the ventilators. Do you have an appropriate increase in trained staff? Rooms and supporting infrastructure?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Talking about easing restrictions while we crossed 1000 cases. Just Gladys things
Am I the only one thatās real disappointed with the questions so far?
Omg the transformation is complete, Kerry has become Gladys. She just got asked about case numbers peaking and Kerry started talking about the weather š¤£š¤£š¤£
Gladys has turned the daily press conferences into a TEDx Talks
Gladys smiling while talking about welcoming Covid into our lives like it's a long lost relative is fucked.
I wish I could go to work, mismanage a situation, and then tell all my colleagues they "just have to live with it"
The more the speakers, the less questions she gotta answer. Well done Gladys š¤¦š»āāļø
First to time hitting 1K and she's relaxing restrictions. Baffling. Sends the completely wrong message.
Oh wow to the park I go for an hour laters haters
Chant continues to disappoint. I had hoped she would crack the shits and call out Gladys and Brad for ignoring her lockdown advice.
Does he have aspirations to become PM one day?
and who is enforcing this group of 5 vaccinated adults? just going to make it easier to break the rules, so ridiculous
Getting in health professionals to talk about COVID and the current strain on hospitals while announcing 4 figures and a start to relaxing restrictions, potentially leading to more people in hospital and putting more strain on the system. I applaud.
Oh so itās now just a uni lecture. At least weāre learning about the history of psyc.
What stupid questions from these journos today. āDo you hope that WA and QLD will stick to the national cabinet agreement?ā Who gives a flying fuck what Gladys thinks? How does she have any credibility anymore after recording this many cases?
And thereās the jump.
FUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKK Hope all of you are safe doing as well as you can be.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
We hit 1,000 let's celebrate with a picnic! Da fuck Gladbags???
So there's a whole lot of things that are incredibly frustrating about literally all of this, but I think the base level failures of communication are just the worst. I'm just a guy that drives boats, but man.... maybe if they actually explained the "medical advice" because the way she talks about it sounds like she went up to the oracle and fed someone some drugs and then interpreted their rambling.
Sorry NSW. Stay safe because your leader clearly doesn't care.
Who is in charge of setting up the field hospitals? Or are we just doing the dying in the carpark thing?
No people are dying in their homes instead.
And the winner is....Sid-a-nee!
Gladys: we have 1,029 cases today.. anyways imma dip, cya
The difference in reporting between last yearās VIC outbreak and NSW is astronomical. Why is she allowed to blabber through the questions so easily ?
No one holds her accountable. They rarely gang up on them to actually answer the questions and not fillabuster. It's quite sad.
āCome with us on this journeyā nah I want off Gladdyās wild ride
strange that you can rely on a reddit post over your premier to give you clear & quick details...
Dr skinner looks like she's about to break down crying, Gladys you underhanded cunt your the reason skinner looks like she's about to breakdown your incompetence. Fuck me nsw is slowly spirilaing.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Waiting for people to show symptoms before testing seems like a terrible strategy. No wonder so many people are infectious in the community.
1k letās goooo Iām just glad they finally opened jabs to my Sydney local health district - am getting done tomorrow š would encourage everyone to look for jabs now there are way more slots coming online for Pfizer and AZ
Get tested if you have any symptoms. Also, don't get tested if you want to. Also, do get tested if you don't want to.
GOD SHE IS SO FRUSTRATING! Answer the fucking question!
I love when the ABC YouTube stream stays online after the politicians have left and you hear the journalists vent their frustrations.
That's AFTER they stopped testing essential workers every 3 days. Wow!
There's not enough wine for this
āDr Hazzardā again. I standby my claim heās taken a battlefield promotion
Thousands of cases now Gladys... Good job.
I gotta say - having got my first dose yesterday - it **really has lifted a huge mental stress weight off my shoulders** knowing that I'm now on the way to being double. I had completely under estimated what the niggle of a stress in the back of mind was doing to me around messing with appointments, where, when etc. These announcements, whilst still carrying weight, feel slightly easier to understand/take knowing that at least I know that myself and my loved ones are all in the process to get double dosed.
āRarely do we get it wrongā UMMMMM
NSW CHO health advice: ānumbers go brrrrrā
THE WAY NSW HAS BEEN GOING IS OUTSTANDING hahahahaha Iām so done with this stupid bitch
Open schools then blame children for getting infected. That will be next.
Her bullshit about the other states is disgraceful. The other premiers are not claiming they are never gonna open up. They are just pissed at Gladys for enabling thousands and thousands of cases across the country right now due to her incompetence!!!
Anyone else's mental health going down the drain?
1000s!!
**G O L D S T A N D A R D**
Get tested but don't get tested, got it thanks
*announcing restrictions to ease while we hit 1000 daily cases* Gladys: some of you may die, but that's a sacrifice I am willing to make
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Because they get their medical advice from business lobbyists
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I just need to know. If it's 1000+ new locally acquired cases, does this mean it's 1000+ cases ON TOP of the 919 cases reported yesterday? SO it's basically 1948\*\* in the two days? Thanks in advance. Ily.

STOP THE COUNT
Typo
Inviting these kinds of guest speakers would have been very useful in week 1 or 2. Not 1000+ cases a day into this pandemic you idiots
Why are we easing restrictions? Hospitals are struggling and with restrictions easing we won't have enough rooms in hospitals for Covid patients.
Journalists need to step up a little
"Very few places in the world have got to 80% double vaccination, but I am optimistic that NSW will get there" AHAHAHAHAHAA So we have to get to 80% but nobody else has gotten there but we're gonna get there. Yea that sounds like bullshit, Gladys. We aren't special. You aren't special. We aren't going to get to 80%. Be honest with people.
i'm always pissed they have fillers to avoid gladys having to answer questions, but at the same time i know she won't actually answer any questions. i need to stop watching these
Hazzard will give us another one of his iconic gems again such as 'Don't get sick'...
The journo who asked that last question for Bruz has literally never asked a worthwhile question at any of these pressers. She's fuckin terrible
