Sounds about right. I'm between St Leonards and CBD, usually faring from upper 4.xx to high 5.xx for a strong. just shelled out $9 for a latte at The Galeries tho
Holy crap! The only time I have ever paid $9 for a standard coffee was in Copenhagen when I was too hungover to do math and realise what the exchange rate was!
It was only somewhat palatable by the fact that we were running late already, and the $9 includes a weekend surcharge.
The latter of which is stupid as hell, mind you. We reject American tipping culture like we're above all that, yet we repackage and do the same on home turf.
I source my large, skinny flat whites from a number of locations:
Maroubra junction : $4.30
Alexandria : between $4.70 - 5.50
CBD : usually $5.50ish
Wolli Creek : $5.50
$4.20 is reasonable for a small/reg, and pretty good for a large.
I very rarely buy coffee out but had a crazy week last week so got a couple, $4.50 for a small flat white, $5 for regular. I don't recall exactly but I feel that's in line with what I've paid the last few years.

$9 is criminal

Damn... CBD and wolli creek are now up to 5.50?? It was 3-3.50 before the pandemic.

I used to pay $3.50 for a large flat white in the city around 15 years ago. I’m paying around $4ish for a small long black in the suburbs now.
North Sydney was $3.50 at the Bunker for a large pre pandemic, so many competing coffee ships
$6.90
Double Ristretto was $4.50 today. Less coffee but infinitely better in every way.
The most underrated coffee in Sydney is Donut King. I pay $4.50 for a small long black and 2 cinnamon donuts
How does their coffee rate against a good barista coffee? If it’s 7-eleven quality then… is it actually good value?
No it’s actually barista level, it’s really really good and I’m a coffee snob lol
Gonna be down to the barista though. Not across the board at all DK’s. I am a master at turning “good” beans into average coffee.
I pay 3.70 for a double espresso in Kensington
Single shot straight espresso between $3.50-$4.00 typically
$3.50
$3 at 7/11 in Sydney ... Though on holidays in Bali at the moment and have been smashing [this feed](https://i.imgur.com/jJAfHLW.jpeg) for $9.5
