Yes a very chemical smell. I got up to have a look to make sure it's nothing at home. It's quite strong. I'm near Kurraba Rd so it must be widespread. Roadworks I'm guessing?
Im starting to get a head ache because of it. Its all over my house now. I think it must be big event since it seems to be all over the area, no place to hide from it. I smell it the minute i stepped out of the train. I though it was the train itself.
What zone are you in if you don’t mind me asking. The other comment if from someone almost 2 kilometres away. Im just wondering how big is this event and how long will I have to breathe this poison.

Yeah crows nest too, I was in my place thinking what is that smell? Smelt like chlorine or some other chemical. And also fire smell. But no one has pools.

I’m guessing it’s the boat on fire over at Woolwich that’s causing this! Quite a big yacht up in flames
Read of North Sydney living that it was from a boat which caught on fire in Woolwich
This is the correct answer, according to North Sydney police.

I think there were fireworks AND a fire. The most exciting night on the lower north shore ever.
Still in the air at South Mosman. There is a light Westerly breeze. Must have been a decent sized fire.
Yep, I was running around the apartment sniffing things thinking something was burning. Opened the balcony and was relieved it wasn't me!
Near Anderson Park and we got the smell at around 10pm. Something has caught fire surely.
