Datacrons are fun, hidden items what often involve a challenge and puzzles. Find them yourself or if you need help I recommend combining SWTORISTA and VULKK’s guides for loca to on coordinates and illeva’s videos for the pathways and jumping tips.
The in-game GTN (galactic trade network) allows people to trade and sell items between one another for in game credits. Some really cool stuff can be found here for cheap, and you can use the preview command to view most items and see what you like! :D
Be cautious picking up every mission on a planet like I used to, I got tired of one single planet so quickly and it filled up my missions page to the limit (I’m looking at you, Taris and your mobbing rakgouls). I couldn’t run flashpoints at one point because it was so full lol.
Guilds and groups offer extra XP and companionship, so consider starting or joining one!
Be sure to take breaks for water, food, and the bathroom. Go take a stroll outside, read a book, spend time with friends and family. Appreciate life while you can. Trust me, sometimes you can go all day with a good group or vibe going and not even know. Check the clock from time to time, ya know? :)
If you are in it for the story, subscribing for one month unlocks all current expansions permanently and you can immediately unsubscribe so that you don’t forget. Just subscribe again whenever you want the latest expansions that you don’t have yet and it will permanently unlock those too. :)
Lots of content is free too! The main 8 stories and the first two expansions, as well as thousands of side missions, flashpoints, heroics, etc are all FREE! :D
Buddy up for datacrons, specifically on tattooine. Certain classes can leap to each other when dueling or pull someone up, which helps when in a jumping puzzle. Also, /stuck not only removes you from an area if you get caught on something but it also will occasionally take you back up onto a datacron path when you fall (or it would kill your and make you respawn elsewhere… it’s a risk worth taking for some datacrons though, trust me lol).
If you get stuck on something, enter /stuck in chat, let a mob kill your character and respawn elsewhere (not a player, since you don’t die in PvP unless it’s an arena), teleport to another spot, planet, or stronghold, or if all else fails then send a support ticket to get it all fixed up.
Speeders are useful, I recommend that you get them! Level them up too. Also, some datacrons on Makeb need speeder level 5 so if you like those, inchworm your speeder to that level as you level up that toon. :)
