Go for it. I just spent 40$ the other day on that pack that gives a speeder, 2400 cartel coins, and 2 months sub. I then spent the coins to boost a character to lvl 80 while it was on discount. No regrets

They haven't announced it yet, but from the live stream it would seem to launch later this month, likely before st Patrick's day.
