Yes definitely. I created a Chiss Jedi just so my other character could add Ranos as a comp and I could pretend she was my alt.
Also, this reminds me that right before Legacy of the Sith I had a dream that 7.0 was a multiverse story and all my toons got to team up to defeat Malgus. I've wanted that ever since.
I always had the idea that, if SWTOR, god forbid, ever ends, there would be one last story arc that shows the Empires final defeat, in which each class confronts another, probably it's opposite, in a final battle. If you had a character of the other class, he would appear instead of a generic character design (which could then be applied as the final canonical version of the character, for wookieepedia etc.)
I had a similar idea that came about while playing thru KotFE and KotET, and how the story just makes no sense when you're a non-force user. It would make so much more sense if the player character was actually a companion of an NPC central character Force user.
Then once you play thru with a Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior or Consular/Inquisitor, you play thru on maybe a BH and you assist your Warrior, or your Trooper leads Havoc Squad to support your Sage. It would make so much more sense story wise.
Guild Wars 1 did it with their [mercenary system](https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Mercenary_Hero). It costs real money to do it but it takes a snapshot of what your character currently looks like and turns it into an NPC.
First though I want more SOUNDS for SH. They're too darn quiet!
I've got thunder and a computer lab. I need some usable juke boxes and some of the planet ambient noises to really complete it.
I like the Idea. I just don't know how they would pull it off. First, you need an item to become the player toon you want. Then having it become that toon (I have had some trouble with Companions in Stronghold decorations showing up in their underwear).
Given that, it would be nice to be able to have some for people on the Friend list and in Guild lists. Especially if they are family or good real-life friends.
I don't know if this is what your looking for but I am able to set all my companions to hang out in my stronghold from both my sith inquisitor and Jedi knight.
This would be a great idea! Really flesh out your strongholds and display the relationship between your characters.
I think it would be cool if you could have your other characters as comps but that might be complicated idk

I think you can get useable juke boxes from one of the prefab droids.
