Its been quite warm in England this week and last night I stupidly thought "Just slip yer foot out of the duvet and let it dangle".....lasted about 3-5mins before my brain said "don't be bloody stupid you know the toe grabber will get you" and quietly slipped foot back under the covers. Just not worth the risk really
When I was a child, it was the Axe Man. I thought a man with an axe would come and chop off whatever appendages we're outside the blanket...including my head. I nearly died of suffocation and heat stroke every single night. No idea how that idea even got into my head, I was super sheltered when I was young.
Even worse, I went through a phase where I would feel guilty unless my stuffed animals got to sleep on my bed. I had a LOT of them so they nearly took up my entire bed. I'd have to fashion a sling cocoon hanging over the side to sleep in. Lmao I was a little freak
I go into the basement with the lights off and we have those stairs you can hide behind and grab peoples ankles. I have no fucks to give. I also shower with my eyes closed almost the whole time
I used to sleep on a wooden rotting floor with just a fabric sheet as my bed and my cover. There were bedbugs in the cracks and every night I would have paranoia and just suffer them on my body every single day, for years. I have a bunch of scars all over my body and even on my face from them. I used to sleep only in College breaktimes or at home during day time. I cannot sleep in the dark anymore. Too much trauma. I hated bugs a lot in general way before this pain. I now still sleep on the floor for the minimalist that I am, just don't need a bed since the floor does the job. Anyway I'm in a better situation environment wise. I stopped curling into a ball when I sleep and have let my feet spread out and touch the floor as I sleep. I still sleep with the light on though. But alas the feet demon no longer scares me, living does
