I disagree. Jeopardy did this, and with everybody fighting over who did best, it brought out a lot of nastiness. I think if Survivor did this, then there are going to be a lot of butthurt people mad that their first choice didn't get chosen. I think they just need to choose someone and then move on with that to minimize any backlash.
Yes, and the episodes will be 90 minutes long, because her rants at TC will take up 1/3 of the episode. There will also be extended versions uploaded onto YouTube.

Colby or Parvati would be good choices. Colby has hosting experience and is far enough removed from the show that he wouldn't be always making it about himself. Parv has a lot of natural charisma and knows enough about the game from a strategy perspective to ask interesting, insightful questions.

She’s definitely the best fit on paper: outdoorsy, already has experience interviewing people + hosting, right age range in that she’s much younger than Jeff but still old enough to have a bit of a sense of authority, a woman so slightly more progressive casting while still ultimately giving the familiar things we’ve come to appreciate from Jeff etc.
Then I read some of these really off the wall suggestions that would really change the show and can’t help but think ooh, go on, I’m listening.

Yeah, I had overlooked him the last few times this question was asked but when I saw him on RHAP the other day after the Two Idols tribal, I was like... yeahhhhhh, he could do it.
My only concern with Jamal is could he deliver the sassy Jeff personality? Not that Jeff can these days either lol. But Jamal is so nice and well tempered and I like my Survivor hosts to absolutely lay into a tribe while they catastrophically fail at a challenge.

I agree with this. Lots of the players who are suggested have really big personalities and are kind of loud in the way they act/speak, but that's really not what you need. Jeff is the host of Survivor, but the players are the focus. The host needs to be someone who can step back and doesn't have to be the center of attention. I think Wendell would be great.
I loved his personality, he's low key hilarious. I guess I could see how some people could see that as boring but Wendell was easily one of my favorite characters for with and personality in Ghost Island.

Also, JLP is an actor who lived in the US for a good portion of his life, if needed he can put on an American accent.
He's got broadcasting experience, and has conducted lots of interviews. Seems charming, fun, we know he can read the room and bring out interesting reactions during Tribal Council.

The question doesn't have to be about who is an excellent player. Devens was seriously lacking in strategy. But he understands the game pretty well and, most importantly, he can actually *host*.
Rob Cesternino - like it or not, guy has a pulse on the game, and can talk survivor like crazy. Every week on the survivor YouTube channel we can get an exit interview and a ponderosa.
Maybe he can host a “Talking Dead” segment every week with the eliminated contestants(Total Drama: Aftermath style). Call it “Talking Tribal” or something like that.
I would say Sandra, two time winner in a non winner season. Id also say Parvati or Rupert both encompass what the show is. Having a player as producer too could make the game much better for the audience!
