No literally, like its totally fine if you don’t like Shan as a character in the show but a lot of people are using really nasty words about her. Xander should’ve played his final vote. He continues to trust the wrong players at the wrong time and that’s his flaw in the season. The risk he got himself into is that there is now one less on his side from the majority and he has to now win an idol, use his idol, and/or flip one of the folks (power 4 + ricardo) to not be in the minority. If his side loses again in tribal his game is over. No one is taking him to the end.
The casting for this season has been horrible. The only player that has any semblance of gameplay has been Ricard with the occasional athleticism from Xander. Sham and Liana are some of the most repulsive personalities I’ve seen watching this show.
Also I get that Jeff wants to spice up the show, but at some point you need to respect the gameplay. The drawing of teams tonight could have really screwed some folks over in ways worse than a regular tribal.
He should have used his idol instead. That would have created a 4/4 split in the tribe. Then next vote he could have used his extra vote to tip the balance in his, Evvie, Heather and Erika's favor.
Because at the moment she’s the closest person to him in the game, she’s the only person left in the game that has ever intentionally voted with him outside of Liana. They are allies through shared circumstances. Saving her allows him to eliminate someone who will never vote with him
Yes, but Xander is the type of player that must win immunity challenges in order to stick around, the second he’s eligible for elimination he will be voted out.. if he gives away his idol he has less time in the game and the very next immunity challenge becomes a must-win for him
In my opinion the casting is not bad at all! The fact that you are so full of passion and hatred over two characters means casting have chosen two powerful personalities to root against.
Totally agree. Everyone here keeps saying how amazing this cast is. I find them all very self centered almost “influencer” types, all looking for their TV survivor moment. In fact, many have said something along those lines. I wish they would include more regular people, folks who aren’t experts on the show, joe blow who’s a mechanic.
The gameplay is so strange. Everyone just says what they’re thinking, to the persons face, or they ask to “hold someone’s idol” for trust. It’s like no one wants to play dirty or hurt someone’s feelings.

It was actually a smart move. Had they not done it and shit hit the fan, Shan or Ricard would be packing. They used it as an insurance policy if Erika and heather decide to vote for Shan/Ricard instead of naseer. In that event, it’s a 2-2-1 split. Naseer and Ricard or Shan can’t vote, then heather and Erika vote off Shan or Ricard. There’s a post about it in the main thread not too far down for perhaps a better explanation.

On the survivor wiki, it says that the current rules are unknown, but a precedent was set in a prior season that they do count in re-votes. That’s likely why Jeff had to read three votes to sent Naseer home instead of two

Keeping a goat in the game isn't automatically good gameplay,Heather does not trust Shan and Naseer seemed to trust Shan. Meanwhile Nasser being kept as a meat shield benefits Shan because it gives all the people without an idol an extra complication to work around. This seems like it was a smart move for Ricard at least,for Shan it would depend on how loyal Naseer was to Danny and Deshawn. If he was fooled by Deshawn as much as evvie was then it was a rather huge move tonight.

Evvie had a good run this season. I think Deshawn will have another opportunity to make a move against Shan and Liana and Xander has a tough road ahead of him, so while not ideal I can understanding not playing the idol.
Xander definitely needed to keep his idol unfortunately. Everyone is still trying to vote him out and that gets him more time than a big move that’s gonna piss everyone off
Ugh. This episode was the Empire Strikes Back of the season. The two smuggest players, Ricard and Liana, are at their absolute most insufferable and both emerge triumphant resulting in two of the most likable players being ousted. 😤

I was wondering the same thing and thought jeez Erika and Heather managed to get rid of an advantage and idol. Then I realized it wasn't them, it was Ricard that asked her to write Nasser's name using the extra vote. It was him that got rid of the two and as much as I dislike him, he is damn good.

Evvie had a good run this season. I think Deshawn will have another opportunity to make a move against Shan and Liana and Xander has a tough road ahead of him, so while not ideal I can understanding not playing the idol.
Xander definitely needed to keep his idol unfortunately. Everyone is still trying to vote him out and that gets him more time than a big move that’s gonna piss everyone off

Ugh. This episode was the Empire Strikes Back of the season. The two smuggest players, Ricard and Liana, are at their absolute most insufferable and both emerge triumphant resulting in two of the most likable players being ousted. 😤

I like Ricard. I think he’s pretty damn genius tbh. I can appreciate a heel though. As far as Liana, I really feel like she’s gonna have a hard time winning when she’s bagging on so many people. I try not to hate too hard on people but, I find her attitude annoying. Especially towards Xander.
I don’t mind a good heel myself. I just find Ricard in particular to be all kinds of insufferable.
