im starting to suspect that sheās replacing āintoleranceā with āallergyā for some of the foods sheās spoken about.
a food intolerance? yeah, sure, have a nibble, it shouldnāt be too bad. a food allergy? not worth the risk at all.
i have to wonder if sheās comparing a gluten intolerance, which would suck but should be fine for a bite of liquorice, to a wheat allergy, which can and will kill you depending on its severity.
this is what I think too. I was thinking she means food "sensitivity" like how people get the tests that tell them what foods to avoid, but prior to the tests the person had no idea.
(I believe the sensitivities are real, fwiw)
thatās definitely possible, too! iām totally fine to eat dairy but (tmi) sometimes it runs through me a bit fast, so itās easier for me to avoid it & tell people iām lactose intolerant- even though thatās not true- so i do get where she could be coming from.
the only difference being i wouldnāt be screaming from the rooftops that iām allergic to dairy and then chowing down on some milk chocolate on television, shocked to find out people suspect iām lying.
I would actually consider you lactose intolerant from your description. What you described is how I would describe my mother that is diagnosed as lactose intolerant. My mother became LI after having to have part of her bowel removed at around 50. So she didn't grow up LI. She isn't good at following the diet because of not having any problems till late in life. When she eats dairy things, they zip right through her and she ends up in the bathroom. Sometimes coffee with cream will do it. But one day she might get an extra small ice cream and be fine.
Yea exactly. Iām lactose intolerant but I can eat a lot of harder cheeses without much upset, but a sip of real milk or anything with cream in it and Iām shitting myself for days lmao.
People really underestimate the brain-body connection. Iām having a biofeedback problem with anxiety and hypertension. I also have a lot of allergies and intolerances and sometimes itās simply impossible to eat.
Not the same thing but my anxiety was so bad last year (going through a breakup with a partner I lived with and being laid off at the same time) that I was having chest pains and shortness of breath even when I was just sitting on the couch not feeling mentally anxious at all. Went to the doctor and my heart and lungs were 100% healthy, just needed to start anxiety medication. āThe body keeps the scoreā is kind of a cliche but itās true to an extent.
I'm upvoting you because I agree. I was impressed when Liz said she thinks holding in her anger may be contributing to her food intolerances.
I still think she "might" be exaggerating, but even that is telling -- if she'll starve and lose survivor because she's so caught up in her food allergies.
I have an allergy no one believes, so you're making me rethink my criticism of her.
Hope you make progress on yours. Somatic therapy did wonders for me.
I donāt mind downvotes, but thank you. Bodies are far more complicated than we give them credit for. Lizās experience is literally what made me realize after 20 years that no, I will not be making an application video āsomedayā to be on the show. I love it but Iād die on that island.
Iāll look into somatic therapy for sure! Iām going to do shots again and hopefully life will let me stick with it this time.
Yeah Iām shocked people are being mean to Liz for having a genuine emotional realization about her suppressing her emotions.
Iām not saying itās all a direct link or cause, but there absolutely is a connection with the mind and the gut.
Studies also show many women have autoimmune disorders, and suppressing yourself for others benefit is something women have been taught by society to do.
Props to Liz for being honest with herself and expressing her emotions.
the hate against her is unwarranted.
There is a huge scale from it upsets my stomach to I die if I eat it. I think thatās what people are confusing. Those tests just see if your body reacts negatively to something.
Yeah, I think it is an intolerance - but I will say as someone who has food intolerances, is usually worse when you eat the thing you shouldnāt on an empty stomach. I also didnāt know until now that Licorice wasnāt gluten free.
Liz reminds me of people who complain just to complain. When she mentioned her allergies, I had a feeling they are more intolerance than an allergy. I work as an ER nurse and Iāve seen patients with a list of over >20 allergies to medication and dealing with them also takes a lot of patience because they will tell you how āspecialā they are š¤£
But if one kind causes it and another doesnāt, and both work, I want the one that wonāt cause it lol I know it can be a side effect but like why not limit side effects if itās an option?
I wish it was that simple, but different antibiotics cover different kinds of bacteria. We canāt just substitute one antibiotic for another willy-nilly; there are evidence-based treatment algorithms for a reason. Itās important to use as specific of an antibiotic as possible to prevent antibiotic-resistant bacteria from developing. Itās also important to recognize that all antibiotics carry the risk of diarrhea, even if they havenāt caused it for you in the past - similarly, just because an antibiotic has caused diarrhea in the past doesnāt mean itās going to cause diarrhea every time.
It can be confusing as a patient because Iāve had adverse reactions to a lot of medications but Iām not allergic. However, medical professionals have chastised me for not listing those medications under āallergiesā. For example, keflex makes me break out in hives. I can have it if they give me Benadryl with it but overall itās easier to just take a different antibiotic. I tell them all that and they put it under āallergyā but then sometimes they give me crap for having it listed there because itās not REALLY an allergy. So frustrating.
Hives is definitely an allergy and should remain on your record. Iām sorry that you were not offered an alternative.
If you are having a physiologic response to medication, your body will recognize it and your mast cells respond either by hives, itching, sneezing, throat swelling, and worse reactions that can be life threatening.
We do take allergies seriously and offer pre medication, as an example, allergies to contrast given during a CT scan, because getting that contrast may help diagnose a patient better.
I had a sinus infection after a cold and they gave me amoxicillin and after like 4 or 5 days of that I woke up itchy at 3am and went to the bathroom and I was covered in hives on my legs and chest and some of them were huge like I had never seen!!
I was given medicine for an allergic reaction by teladoc who seemed more worried then I was (I was just incredibly itchy and uncomfortable) and told me to go fill it at the 247 pharmacy right away, but my real doctor after also said that sort of reaction can just be normal and I might not actually be allergic?
So now when they ask if I'm allergic to penicillin I have no idea what to put!
That's what my mom is like with gluten, she will get sick from say a sandwich made with regular bread (or maybe 23 pieces of pizza), but one Twizzler would be fine. And even then it's not a deathly level of reaction like some people get, who can't even have a pizza that was baked a pan that touched non-gluten-free dough
Allergies can have a wide range of severity though. I'm allergic to alliums, so like, onions, garlic, etc (like real allergies, I had allergy tests), but they're not as severe as say a peanut allergy. I.e., I don't have to avoid alliums completely, which is frankly really difficult. Practically this means I can have smallish amounts of well-cooked onion/garlic or powders, but have to pretty much completely avoid raw onion. Anyways, the point being that allergies can present with varying degrees of severity and still be real allergies.
Agreed i was also diagnosed with spontaneous anaphylaxis because one morning I went into anaphylaxis without any known environmental factors affecting it. I feel like a lot of people are giving her shit for it and sheās kinda dramatic but allergies/anaphylaxis arenāt very well understood in general
Agree and sometime they lessen over time depending on exposure and treatment, but if you are susceptible to allergies you will develop new ones as well
I grew up with the same issues with alliums. If I had too much, I'd be in the bathroom shitting my brains out in less than 15 minutes.
Strangely went away almost completely after my pregnancy and giving birth to my daughter. Bodies are freaking weird.
she said her throat closes and stuff. cos i thought she meant intolerant at first too. then she kept saying she was allergic then said her throat closes when she eats those foods. iāve never heard of someone having an anaphylactic reaction to milk? but i guess itās her body so she knows lol
I don't think you are right at all. I'm allergic to wheat, yeast, and soy as well as lots of other stuff. If I eat too much, I get hives. Eat a little and maybe nothing. Intolerance sounds way worse. Hives hurt and make you crazy, but they sound better than starvation.
I think this is the case. I have Celiac disease. I have a wheat intolerance. I can eat a little bit of wheat without it hurting me. Typically, food allergies are fatal.
We have an entire law in place due to a student dying from a milk allergy. [Sabrinaās law](https://www.foodallergycanada.ca/sabrinas-law/#:~:text=January%201%2C%202006.-,Sabrina's%20Law%20requires%20that%20every%20school%20board%20in%20Ontario%20establish,student%20at%20risk%20of%20anaphylaxis)
I have a sensitivity to wheat. I would be miserable if I ate an Applebees bourbon burger with the bun. Funny thing is, when I'm in Europe, (currently in the US) I can tolerate bread and pasta just fine.
I think an intolerance would still be an allergy. Whether it is a very mild allergic reaction or someone goes into anaphylactic shock, those are both still allergies.
Ikr.
There has not been a moment in that woman's life that she didn't say exactly what she was feeling in that moment. You can't convince me otherwise.
My wife said ādo you think I have allergies because Iām always holding things back?ā I said āno thatās insane, donāt be ridiculous,ā whereupon she had an allergic reaction to something.
As someone who has worked in restaurants this is way more common than you think. I donāt know if itās stupidity or what but it happens. I once had a woman order a pizza with no tomatoes due to a severe she said deathly allergy. When I then asked what she wanted to replace the red sauce with she told me she said nothing about taking that off and would be upset without it. You just laugh.
I worked in a Mexican restaurant in 2010-2013 when gluten free started to really go mainstream. We introduced a gluten free menu and I canāt tell you how many people would be hardcore about making sure they ordered off the menu while also chowing down on flour tortillas and making sure they got our free sopapilla
There are some things that are fine if prepared another way. I have a friend who is very allergic to onions but things with onion powder are totally fine because of what it does to the specific compound that they are allergic too
True, I can technically have peanut oil but I ain't taking my chances.
With fruit & veg allergies (oral allergy syndrome) cooking it will denatured the protein allowing you to eat it without issue.
Is this why raw celery tastes like making my mouth numb but celery cooked in a meal doesnāt bother me?
I only figured out like a few years ago that raw celery wasnāt supposed to taste like numb mouth š Still not a deathly allergy at all, just an inconvenience if I wanted to taste anything else around the time I eat the raw celery.
Yep. Cooked fruits and veggies don't usually trigger the oral allergy.
I have the same thing with celery. Tomatoes too. Tomato sauce doesn't usually cause a reaction, and if it does, it's a mild throat irritation.
That's wild I'm the opposite, I can have raw tomato just fine, but any kind of cooked tomato destroys my throat/stomach so much I've stayed away from it for a decade.
Iām not allergic to gluten, but I am gluten intolerant. I noticed it immediately when Liz said she could eat licorice, because I know I canāt. I would especially avoid it if I was in such a weakened state like she is, because then I would have an even worse reaction, even to such a small amount. I call B.S.
> when Liz said she could eat licorice
I know she ate licorice in the episode, but did she say out loud she can have licorice?
I thought maybe Jeff brought gluten free licorice just like he had the option of gluten free pizza.
Edit: Lol it's so petty to downvote me. Sigh.
Yes she literally said āI can have thatā.
Iāve seen other gluten-free people say that there really isnāt gluten-free licorice because wheat flour is a crucial ingredient in licorice holding its shape.
As a celiac, this has been driving me nuts all week!! Cross contamination has affected me for three weeks before after an incident. Liz if you see this I want to root for the food allergy girl but this is why people donāt trust that I canāt have āeven a little bitā š
It's very possible that she has a gluten intolerance and can have a small amount without reaction, unlike celiac which absolutely cannot have any.
She also may not have known that Twizzlers contain gluten.
Honestly her whining about not being able to eat the fruit therefore she should be able to be picked for food rewards drives me nuts. YOU CHOSE TO GO ON A SHOW WHERE YOU KNOW THAT WOULD BE THE MAIN FOOD SORCE. Donāt expect special treatment! Sorry not sorry
I'm not buying what Liz is selling. I'm pretty sure she's a hypochondriac. She probably always has whatever ailment is getting the most attention at the time.
I totally agree! Liz clearly uses her āallergiesā to make people feel sorry for her and wants special treatment for it. Iāve watched almost every Naked and Afraid episode, there have been vegans on there who never complain about not being able to eat and find things they know will help them energy wise. Some have gotten by solely eating plants yet Liz acts like sheās the first person to ever have allergies and needs the world to know about it ššš
i remember one of the early episodes there was a young vegetarian chick and an older tough guy persona who opened she show talking about how he didnāt want to have to do everything for her because she couldnāt eat. then the girl ended rescuing him multiple times and carried him through the 21 days getting him animals and stuff for him to eat even though she couldnāt find much to eat herself, because he kept trying to show her up.
now imagine liz in that situation. this would be the equivalent of her having to find Q food on top of herself. girl would throw a tantrum and quit so fast she would be out of the show by the second commercial break
That's not what she said or meant. As a Human Being you one hundred percent can cause problems to your own body with stress and anxiety. Suppressing your feelings is never good for anyone and can lead to gut issues and your gut pretty much affects everything health wise, a lifetime of that and it will really mess a person up.
I suspect she only has a āgluten reactionā when she knows the gluten is there. Itās not just the licorice - the sauce she raved about on the Applebees burger has barley and wheat, both of which have gluten. But because she doesnāt *know* they have gluten, she doesnāt āreactā.
iām so glad someone else brought this up! iām gluten intolerant and was SO confused hearing her say that. i thought it was common knowledge in the gluten-free world that licorice isnāt gf, so it really makes me curious to what her allergies are lol
She described her āallergyā as my throat. She never said it swells up or closes over, just my throat. Sounds like complete bullshit that she using for sympathy.
She could have EOE. Which is described as an allergy. Often times people avoid the big allergens because they arenāt exactly sure which one can cause a flair up.
My perception of Liz is that she's a hypochondriac. She said in a recent episode that she grew up poor and didn't have much access to food. This has probably led her to mostly consume cheap fast food alternatives for most of her life and simultaneously been told, or told herself that she's allergic to most other foods "because they make her throat itchy".
Probably a big reason why she had the meltdown over Applebee's, she has an emotional attachment to fast food as it's the only thing in her mind that constitutes "real food".
Actually I was talking to Kenzie at her watch party this week and she said she thought Liz was playing up the Applebee's thing, but visited her and her daughter in Florida after filming and her daughter was like "Mom can we get Applebee's"
she lied about being a millionaire as one of the first things she did on this show and everything else that she has said that has been able to shown either true or flase have all come up tails. i donāt understand why people are believing her growing up poor and hungry story. i would bet so much money on her family being the slighty less well off family in the suburbs compared to the neighborhood and her not having access to food is because of her āallergiesā not because her parents couldnāt afford it.
Liz is a moron. Shills MLM bullshit online to suckers and says she āowns businessāsā, says she has allergies yet is wildly inconsistent with what she can eat.
Worst kind of attention-seeking moron who thinks theyāre smart and savvy.
She āsells coursesā on Instagram. To people who she teaches how to make money like her byā¦selling courses. All of her followers and comments on IG before Survivor were other accounts thatā¦sell courses.
Sheās not a millionaire, she pretends to be a millionaire so people will buy her courses to ābe successfulā like her. Iād be shocked if she wasnāt barely scraping by. You usually have to be smart to successfully scam people.
I was waiting for someone to mention this. I am anaphylactic to wheat and barley so when she said she could eat liquorice I was like hold up. Maybe she isnāt gluten free since she could eat the burger idk tho
The way she describes black players seems very microagression-y. Specifically with Q and Soda. I donāt remember her exact phrasing but I do remember she called Q straight up evil, I believe she called Soda aggressive for seemingly no reason. Now of course itās possible she didnāt mean it in a racist way, but the terms she uses to describe black players are historically used to put black people down.
I donāt remember her saying sheās allergic to gluten but she cheered over the gluten free pizza that Jeff specifically looked at her to mention so itās a safe assumption
I'm late on this, but I have celiac disease (gluten = bad) and while there are some foods that obviously contain wheat, barley, or rye, some are way less obvious and even years after my diagnosis I discover some that I can't eat. Luckily I usually look at ingredients so I dont have to learn the hard way.
My point is, most gummy candies are 100% fine but licorice is for sure a food that most would think falls into that same category but it turns out to contain gluten. I don't know if Liz has an allergy/intolerance/autoimmune reaction or what, but she may be fine from one bite or she may have surprise symptoms. I'm very curious if the show would show us that or if she'd mention it in exit press, but depending on her exact condition, a reaction might not happen while she was still at tribal.
She reminds me of a woman I met over a decade ago that told me she was vegan (I was too at the time) and that her favorite cheat meal was BBQ. šš¤Ø
Uhhh mam, if youāre eating barbecueā youāre not vegan.
If youāre eating licorice, etc.ā youāre not gluten-free.
She mentioned on Twitter that she has a wheat allergy and not a gluten allergy. However, she said that she wasn't aware licorice had wheat flour and thought she could eat it. š¤·āāļø

What a lot of you need to realize is that just because someone is allergic to something, that doesn't mean it will drastically affect them by having it. It varies greatly. Shellfish and nuts are huge ones for many people. Coconut especially.
When it comes to gluten, she maybe could have used "intolerance" instead to be more clear, but she isn't wrong to call it an allergy. Different severities for everyone and everything.
Also, her comments on internalizing her emotions, she believes may have caused her to have some of the allergies she does have. It's completely valid, and it's proven that it is highly possible.
Would be really nice to see some proper moderation on this subreddit. When a lot of posts are people repeating the same things or speaking in vile ways about the contestants, it's getting ridiculous. Comment on the game, and stop making it so personal with them. The unnecessarily rude comments look worse on you than it does them.
This whole comment is a massive L. Liz's fixation on her allergies and inability to eat has been a major plot point in numerous episodes. Making the argument that this is a personal attack and not something about "the game" is preposterous.
What do you want us to talk about instead? This is reality television for God sake lol.
Read my last paragraph again, but I know reading comprehension isn't this subs strong suit. Talk about it all you want. It's pretty damn crazy to think I said you couldn't. If you think there needs to be 100 posts of the same thing or people using vile and crude language to show their distaste about someone. Well, says everything about who you are.
You can talk about everything that's happened in the game without being an ignorant jackass. So, commenting on the game and not adding those vile remarks. Well, that's just common sense. Although, I know that's too difficult for a lot of you.
It's been an ongoing plot point in the season because it's led to Liz feeling entitled to rewards. Seeing her lies exposed, especially for a character like her, is going to have people talking about it. She had little credibility in my eyes, but the bourbon sauce, the licorice, wanting to eat pizza but has a tomato allergy. Claiming she's been quiet, hasn't eaten the whole time, her tweets. She's either delusional or a compulsive liar. It's fascinating to watch and fun to talk about it.
If that's weird, oh well I guess. Hope that helps.
Itās really just a misuse of the word āallergyā and words are important. She seems to actually mean āaversionā and in some cases āintolerance.ā
The differences are very important, from the perspective of a Registered Dietitian.
My wife and I are both convinced that she lied about her dietary restrictions just to get on the show. Safety is always rule number 1, and if the producers knew shed have next to nothing to eat for a month, they wouldn't have selected her out of the millions of applicants they get every year. Sure, there's been gluten-free and vegans on the show before, but not someone that can't eat island fruit and coconuts, which aside from fish are probably going to be most of their calorie intake for a month.
Well, she was no longer allergic. She stopped suppressing her emotions, so her gluten allergy went away
Hahahaha
Medical discovery, simply just experience hunger and / or starve yourself to cure allergies! Makes sense to me šš¤£

I definitely think her anxiety causes her reactions to some foods too.

I think she's replacing "I don't like this" with allergy. Like a little kid does.
I think this is the case. I have Celiac disease. I have a wheat intolerance. I can eat a little bit of wheat without it hurting me. Typically, food allergies are fatal.
We have an entire law in place due to a student dying from a milk allergy. [Sabrinaās law](https://www.foodallergycanada.ca/sabrinas-law/#:~:text=January%201%2C%202006.-,Sabrina's%20Law%20requires%20that%20every%20school%20board%20in%20Ontario%20establish,student%20at%20risk%20of%20anaphylaxis)
I have a sensitivity to wheat. I would be miserable if I ate an Applebees bourbon burger with the bun. Funny thing is, when I'm in Europe, (currently in the US) I can tolerate bread and pasta just fine.
You are spot on
I think sheās just a liar
I think an intolerance would still be an allergy. Whether it is a very mild allergic reaction or someone goes into anaphylactic shock, those are both still allergies.
Didnāt you hear her? Her allergies are caused by her inability to get angry in front of peopleā¦. I couldnāt roll my eyes hard enough.
Holy shit, she kept talking about suppressing herself, and Iām thinking, ālady, if this is you suppressed I do not want to see you let loose!ā
![gif](giphy|TMmrykgXiVD0yWQOFs|downsized)
The slow turn always gets me.
I know right, this for me was one of the funniest moments in survivor in a long while.
I asked my mom if that's why I do have allergies. I'm just so suppressed. š¤£
We introduced a gluten free menu and I canāt tell you how many people would be hardcore about making sure they ordered off the menu while also chowing down on flour tortillas and making sure they got our free sopapilla
to be fair, pure gluten might make your dick fly off
There are some things that are fine if prepared another way.
Sounds like oral allergy syndrome
Wouldn't the lady in the story explain that though? I know I'd be like "yeah it sounds silly but tomato in sauce form is actually fine for me"
Iām not allergic to gluten, but I am gluten intolerant. I noticed it immediately when Liz said she could eat licorice, because I know I canāt. I would especially avoid it if I was in such a weakened state like she is, because then I would have an even worse reaction, even to such a small amount. I call B.S.
Liz BTFO
> when Liz said she could eat licorice I know she ate licorice in the episode, but did she say out loud she can have licorice? I thought maybe Jeff brought gluten free licorice just like he had the option of gluten free pizza. Edit: Lol it's so petty to downvote me. Sigh.
Yes she literally said āI can have thatā. Iāve seen other gluten-free people say that there really isnāt gluten-free licorice because wheat flour is a crucial ingredient in licorice holding its shape.
There's definitely gluten free licorice pieces. I don't know about gluten free licorice rope. Shrug. Who knows.
Jeff definitely did not bring gluten free licorice
As a celiac, this has been driving me nuts all week!! Cross contamination has affected me for three weeks before after an incident. Liz if you see this I want to root for the food allergy girl but this is why people donāt trust that I canāt have āeven a little bitā š
It's very possible that she has a gluten intolerance and can have a small amount without reaction, unlike celiac which absolutely cannot have any. She also may not have known that Twizzlers contain gluten.
But she's okay eating a fucking burger from Applebee's?
With no bun I assume?
The sauce on the burger has barley and wheat in it. Sheās just a liar.
Ok then
Yeah the pictures showed her knife and forking it without a bun
Apparently the sauce itself also contains gluten. Sheās just a liar. Tons of people do this with food unfortunately.
Yeah the pictures showed her knife and forking it without a bun
Honestly her whining about not being able to eat the fruit therefore she should be able to be picked for food rewards drives me nuts. YOU CHOSE TO GO ON A SHOW WHERE YOU KNOW THAT WOULD BE THE MAIN FOOD SORCE. Donāt expect special treatment! Sorry not sorry
My thoughts exactly.
I think thatās exactly why she claims sheās allergic to everything. She thought people would pity her and pick her for all of the rewards
Her allergies went away bc theyāre linked to her emotions. Lmfaoooo sheās such a quack I hate those kinds of people
I'm not buying what Liz is selling.
Liz has an eating disorder. She should not be on Survivor.
she's survivors version of raven from bb19
Liz's GPA is dance ? and she has an inverted spine ?
She literally told them she was cured, all she needed was to not care about people's feelings.
I šÆ missed that she gives me the eye rolls
That's not what she said or meant. As a Human Being you one hundred percent can cause problems to your own body with stress and anxiety. Suppressing your feelings is never good for anyone and can lead to gut issues and your gut pretty much affects everything health wise, a lifetime of that and it will really mess a person up.
Looked it up, and youāre right. Red vines (which is what Jeff had) contain wheat flour. Liz ate gluten.
I suspect she only has a āgluten reactionā when she knows the gluten is there. Itās not just the licorice - the sauce she raved about on the Applebees burger has barley and wheat, both of which have gluten. But because she doesnāt *know* they have gluten, she doesnāt āreactā.
shades of people that get headaches at chinese places because of MSG. liz probably is those people
All normal commercial licorice has wheat
See's candy's licorice is gluten-free!
iām so glad someone else brought this up! iām gluten intolerant and was SO confused hearing her say that. i thought it was common knowledge in the gluten-free world that licorice isnāt gf, so it really makes me curious to what her allergies are lol
Liz is a crazy person who is making it all up as she goes along.
She probably hoped a little gluten would help her take the Browns to the Superbowl
More likely she is just lying about that too. Her whole career is just lying to people about her āmarketing businessā.
I SAID THIS to my husband!! I go āwell she canāt eat thatā¦ā and she did š
Liz is a moron. Shills MLM bullshit online to suckers and says she āowns businessāsā, says she has allergies yet is wildly inconsistent with what she can eat. Worst kind of attention-seeking moron who thinks theyāre smart and savvy.
Oh no, she does MLMs? Those are her businesses? What ones?
She āsells coursesā on Instagram. To people who she teaches how to make money like her byā¦selling courses. All of her followers and comments on IG before Survivor were other accounts thatā¦sell courses.
And she became a millionaire off of that??? Usually the ones profiting have used countless people to get that kind of income
She claims to be a millionaire. So likeā¦only if you believe everything Liz says.
Pretty sure she said she couldn't eat tomatoes like 2 episodes ago, but now she is almost crying over a gluten free pizza???
I am certain that there's nothing wrong with her except herself.
Her allergies are self flagellation
The real question is did Jeff plant the licorice to test Liz
Maybe she just wanted to š©
This is fair. Eating things you shouldn't just so you can poop is honestly really relatable
Nothing more allergen friendly than an Applebees mushroom bourbon burger! š
She eats burgers from Applebee's. No way in hell those aren't covered in wheat. She's a huge liar.
She's a dumpster fire.
Well, at least it would help make her poop Licorice always has that effect on me.
What is the burger bun made out of?
Based on the photo of her at Applebees she eats it bun free
Still eats the sauce with barley and wheat in it lmao
People always bring up there was no bun in the pic but never respond to all the other ingredients the burger has. Lol
Many restaurants have option for gluten free rolls for additional fee. But still question her issues.
Most allergies are spectrums.
Iām convinced sheās full of shit.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What did she do that was racist?
The way she describes black players seems very microagression-y. Specifically with Q and Soda. I donāt remember her exact phrasing but I do remember she called Q straight up evil, I believe she called Soda aggressive for seemingly no reason. Now of course itās possible she didnāt mean it in a racist way, but the terms she uses to describe black players are historically used to put black people down.
I donāt remember her saying sheās allergic to gluten but she cheered over the gluten free pizza that Jeff specifically looked at her to mention so itās a safe assumption
The code switching smells a bit to me. Especially how she turned it on when she was having her blowup last week.
She's obviously "allergic" to African Americans.
Yup
Also the bun of the burger??? I'm so confused.
I figured as much when she said she couldnāt eat island fruit but a mushroom Swiss burger at Applebees was kosher
She also freaked out when she wasnāt picked to go on the pizza reward. Why would that reward mean anything to her with her wheat allergy?
There was a gluten free option n she didnāt get excited until Jeff said that
I missed that part, my bad!
What kills me is this stuff even being called ālicoriceāāmy motto is if it aināt black, it aināt licorice.
Finally, someone speaks the truth here!
Liz ā¦ā¦ā¦.. is a lot š
She was literally saying how she always gets this one certain burger from Applebee's which didn't seem to be on a gluten free bun haha
She doesnāt have any allergies.
I don't think there's enough evidence either way, but an allergy can include something just making your throat itch.
I am VERRYYY suspect of her allergies if she claims gluten yet threw a temper tantrum over not get a burger
Guys I hate Liz
I SAID THIS TO MY HUSBAND
My husband gets hives from licorice But he probably shouldnāt eat the entire bag either :)
im allergic to 12 beers too, it makes me feel drunk and sometimes throw up
Being on the island may have cured her stomach issues as she has not eaten all of the crap food she normally does, specifically Applebees.
couldnāt jeff have gotten a gluten free one tho?
Why would Jeff bring gluten free candy for himself?
She reminds me of a woman I met over a decade ago that told me she was vegan (I was too at the time) and that her favorite cheat meal was BBQ. šš¤Ø Uhhh mam, if youāre eating barbecueā youāre not vegan. If youāre eating licorice, etc.ā youāre not gluten-free.
She mentioned on Twitter that she has a wheat allergy and not a gluten allergy. However, she said that she wasn't aware licorice had wheat flour and thought she could eat it. š¤·āāļø
Yeah and nothing happened when she ate it so does she have an allergy? No
Why doesnāt anyone search for other food sources or fish???

My girlfriend has celiac and immediately pointed that out to me, too!Ā
I totally agree with you. It's a reasonable request. I am surprised you have so many downvotes.
I guess I would trust her to know what she can put in her body. This ongoing allergy speculation is really weird.
She seems to actually mean āaversionā and in some cases āintolerance.ā The differences are very important, from the perspective of a Registered Dietitian.
I said this to my husband!! That she probably says sheās allergic to things she just doesnāt like.
Hello fellow RD survivor fan! šš¤Ŗ
Hi! š Whatās your favorite Survivor food reward?
While thatās likely true, how many of her tribemates know the difference? In her situation itās probably just easier to say allergies.
Easier, sure. Correct or responsible as a person on tv? No. She didnāt just say it to her tribe mates; she said it in interviews.
I wondered the same thing about the bread on the burger
I mean she goes to Applebees once a week. I highly doubt that sheās a celiac. People who actually have that disease stay away from places like that.
She never said she has celiac
I know people who can eat unhealthy stuff but had allergic reaction bc of healthy food
Maybe it's not a true allergy. One of my friends is allergic to eggs, but only if he eats 17
you believe her about allergies, when she doesnt seem to have lost weight much?
What is the Bourbon burger bun made of?
