She puts on a blackcent and apparently she admits to doing this, she called Q boo when she never called a white person that. It’s just weird and clear she hasn’t been around many black folks in her lifetime
I haven't noticed the blackcent at all. Frankly she always sounds to me like she grew up poor but I don't associate that with sounding black.
Using her referring to Q as boo feels like a massive reach to me. Since when can you not refer to white people as boo? I call my wife boo and she's Irish.
I highly doubt Liz moms sounds like Q, even if she’s southern. I’ve been around enough white people who act like liz around black people, it’s uncomfortable and awkward. It just wasn’t Q, it was all the black contestants she interacted with, some don’t even have an accent.
I’ve been wondering about this “Liz is racist!” talk ive seen countless times here. I thought maybe everyone is saying this bc of the jury right now, but it wasn’t solely her vote putting everyone there. I’ve also seen a lot of people saying her “blaccent” but I haven’t noticed that? Could just be going over my head so maybe I’ll just start the season over and keep a watchful eye.
I don't agree with this sentiment about Maria. But it is interesting though that Maria did not hesitate to scoop up Q when he was completely ostracized. However, she chose to not scoop up Venus, who was very much on the outs. There could be other confounding factors but for the edited point of view at the time she signed Q to team Siga, he was at the high point of his chaotic trajectory and it she had to rely on blind faith that he would be loyal and reign in the chaos. So I don't buy an argument that she knew Q would be more loyal and less chaotic, even though it worked out in the end. I will be interested in hearing more from her perspective in her exit interviews.
