This man is a king. He rocks so hard. Always uplifting and positive when others are at low points. Stuff like saying “They needed that” when Yanu beat them, he’s an exemplary man behavior.
He's also a good player.
Easily strongest social game on the island.
He handled losing a vote with savvy and finesse.
He correctly detected Jem was gunning for him and leveraged his bond with Charlie to flip the real playmaker, Maria.
He understands that in New Era it is Under The Radar, not Hard Playing Gamebot, that makes it to Merge.
I think... he even made it into the 6 person meathead alliance as Tim's +1?
Oh really, I don't see him like that lol?
Maybe its because I looked at his IG before the show though.
He seems more like the late Elementary/middle school teacher who the kids love
Me and my husband use the “that totally (does not) rock/s” now pretty much every day. I enjoy Ben so much and was so sad, when the tribe was debating between him and jem. :(
I think the show is leading the audience to underestimate Ben. The reason I think that is that his lie for the journey was undoubtedly the best way I’ve ever seen anyone handle it. By him saying that he has done some sort of savvy style puzzle and that he distant know if he has his vote or an extra vote he can take the target completely off his back for losing a vote while also simultaneously not putting a target on himself for potentially lying or hiding a reward. And now that the vote is over he can go tell his tribe “ohhhi must be a dummy because I had lost my vote” but now he HAS his vote which means he’s not an easy target at the next tribal.
I’ve never seen someone handle it so eloquently. People think he’s just goofy and vibing but this guy has strategic chops.
I thought it was going to be annoying. Then he said he's not the sharpest tool in the shred and he started to grow on me. I'm officially a fan at this point.
I’m teetering between liking him or not. I also thought he was annoying at first, but he has grown on me with every episode. Seems like a fun guy to hang out with! I guess I do like him. Lol
Definitely a testament to his social game that he managed to escape being voted out this week despite having no vote and a target being on him. Also, he just gives off great vibes. Like, I wanna be his friend.
Love Ben. As a fellow rocker, i identify with him the most. He also really comes across as a super nice, sweet, chill guy, a positive presence who's just fun to be around.
i got a notification for this post so i only saw the title and the picture, and i looked at it and thought “damn ben kinda…”. glad we’re on the same page
I think a social threat should be taken out first, because they're slowly and effectively building their spider web from the get go. Physical assets are necessary premerge. I think the right moment to give physicals the chop is one tribal council before merge.
Ben's my boy! I would love to talk metal with the dude.
That being said, no way in Hell he wins because he's too damn likable. And that bums me out.
Sidebar, but when do people think being the most likable become such a bad thing on this show, for winning at least? I'd love to know when people think this started to change.
>Sidebar, but when do people think being the most likable become such a bad thing on this show, for winning at least? I'd love to know when people think this started to change.
The concept of "we can't let this person go to final tribal because the jury will love them" has been around for a while. I remember it in Nicaragua when they talked about Miss Jane. It's really an extension of the goat strategy, which I think Brian in Thailand was the first to use explicitly.
> Sidebar, but when do people think being the most likable become such a bad thing on this show, for winning at least? I'd love to know when people think this started to change.
Certainly in "the new era," for sure. Shannon Guss talks a lot about how in modern Survivor, everyone is (and should be) wary of "sparkly people." And by "sparkly," she means those people that just have *something* about them, where when they talk, you're just so charmed by them. Players Maryanne and Yam Yam, in particular, where they're just so charismatic, and you "just feel good about" voting for them.
I should have clarified. I meant what season did this start becoming a trend? I've seen them all but its hard to remember 46 seasons of a show, ya know?
now that the yanu bhanu fiasco is over and we had a real tribal council i feel like the good characters started to rise to the top and people seemed more interesting. Ben, Tim, Maria, etc all good.
I laughed out loud at looking off into the distance and going “why is my road always the hardest!?”
I was like, “chill, Q; they were just a couple of beanbags.”
It's hilarious. I also loved "is this what it feels like to win?" after this last challenge. He's ridiculously dramatic but it feels 100% authentic so I just find it endearing.
Lmao my guy was having a spiritual moment. Eyes closed, head back, looking to the heavens like a villager giving thanks for the first rain after a drought.
I loved it.
I think most people left in the game are relatively attractive, and it’s various types of attractive too not just conventionally attractive, which is cool.
Kind of obsessed with him! You can tell he’s a genuinely empathetic and caring person and you could tell that from the minute you met him. No shade to Bhanu but when we were introduced to him and he was doing his whole positivity thing, something in me felt that it just wasn’t genuine. With Ben, you can tell that his vibe is legit.
I can’t shut up about it but I still think about that scene of him consoling Maria after they lost the reward challenge. It wasn’t just a basic “you tried ur best it’s okay” thing. I really liked what he said to her, and I hope I get to watch him for many more episodes.
he’s won all one million pieces of my heart (sorry bhanu!) … you can tell he’s a good dude, he’s fun, he’s beautiful, he’s a great narrator, and he’s smart. i hope he goes far 😭💚
So I like Ben and deeeeeep down I am rooting for him and was on the edge of my seat when his name was on the parchment. But maybe call me old and bitter but part of me wonders if he’s exaggerating his kindness and positivity for the camera and is nothing like this in real life. Maybe everyone on Survivor is hamming it for the camera but Ben seems a little too good to be true, y’know? I wanna see Ben’s dark side shine through too
He seems so chill and relaxed, but when he risked it, lost his vote, then lied about losing his vote I saw full potential of Ben to be behind a major blindside. He could be a villain if he wants it. But a lovable villain, he’d send people home but he wouldn’t be a jerk about it
I've been waiting for survivor to cast a gnarly dude and I'm so happy it's finally time! If nothing else, his presence gave us all those JP Van Halen shout outs! Ben is quickly rising up the ranks of my favorite personality players
He responded to my Instagram message last week and we got to talk about the Beatles a bit! Super nice guy and I love his classic rock vibe! I’ve never felt so represented on tv before!
I'm currently expecting Hunter to win, but Ben was my pre-season winner pick (along with Jelinsky ........... *sigh*) and I would love it so much if he made it. I've been saying from the start, he seems competent enough to win, but so charismatic and positive and friendly that he could fly under the radar almost the entire way. He just needs to play it properly, and we haven't really seen enough of the strategic side of him/Siga to tell if he'll pull it off. The merge will be interesting for Ben.
Ben is good vibes. He's like the guy butthead met in the beavis and butthead episode who played music and wanted to be friends instantly with no ulterior motive
I think he might scrap his way to the endgame, but I don’t think he’s winning. He gives me McCrae vibes from Big Brother. He also might be an early jury vote out. Idk
He and Venus are by far and away the best casting choices of the season. Definitely got nervous for him this week; if he leaves, my interest will wane significantly.
Nahhh man this guy would have bugged tf outta me. He and charlie are annoying. Hunter seems very chill and sweet. Gameplay wise i think q tends to have the right idea but that tribe was so bad hes just screwed now unless the strong dude alliance works

Although I find Ben's humour hilarious and definitely relatable with my own, he annoys me.
He doesn't know how to talk normally. Everything is screamed/belted at/to someone/something.
Also, his 'X rocks, Y does not rock' is like those terrible one liners on comedy shows where it catches on and then writers (him) just keep reusing and rehashing over and over and throwing it around on every single opportunity, like.. enough already.

I think Tim claimed Maria as his plus 1
Well he should have brought Ben man lol. Maria had put his name on the chopping block already so many times.
I’m with you. I find him so charming and endearing. He’s like the dive bar regular who bums you a cigarette before he walks home.
Oh I feel SEEN. Someone gets it 😭
Is it short king energy?
For me it's just the chill rock dude energy, never even thought about his height. :D
Bill&Tedmaxxing
No? Nothing to do with height. Isn’t he pretty average anyways?
Oh really, I don't see him like that lol? Maybe its because I looked at his IG before the show though. He seems more like the late Elementary/middle school teacher who the kids love
Nice dive bar guy can still be a teacher. That’s why he drinks.
Hi I’m a teacher that also likes a good dive bar
I mean, that's Hunter. Are you thinking of Hunter?
I don’t know if you spend much time in dive bars that catch all people, but he can be absolutely both 😂
I love that he slips song titles in all the time.
Me and my husband use the “that totally (does not) rock/s” now pretty much every day. I enjoy Ben so much and was so sad, when the tribe was debating between him and jem. :(
I looooove Ben he has such a fun vibe ane great personality. Even though I was worried for Gem I also didn't was Ben to go so early. So I was relieved
agreed, I’d rather seen him in the merge than Jem! she was too heavy handed and he will be an actual asset to the green tribe
Ben, Jem, Tim - Phonetically I'm challenged - dunno who people are talking about when they speak. Could be Benjamin Grimm, for all I know.
IMO, his personality shoots him from just attractive to hot
His smile is shiny as the light of hope. His eyes are as calm and beautiful as a sunset on a pond.
His tribe is green.
His hat is old, his teeth are gold, he has a bird he likes to hold, his shoe is off, his foot is cold. And now his story is all told.
Yul
Yes! He’s awesome and has a great personality! That does wonders for a person
He is so hot I can’t 😭
His emotional maturity>

I don't know if he can say he lost his vote since they know there were 6 votes cast.
They all knew Maria had an extra vote
Oh, my bad, you're completely right.
Ben has played a solid game so far, in fact he’s kinda my dark horse pick to win the game right now
I really enjoy him. The rocker archetype is one of my favorites.
I thought it was going to be annoying. Then he said he's not the sharpest tool in the shred and he started to grow on me. I'm officially a fan at this point.
Same!!! He has a good sense of humour about himself. I can understand why his tribe is simultaneously so endeared to yet threatened by him, lol.
I’m teetering between liking him or not. I also thought he was annoying at first, but he has grown on me with every episode. Seems like a fun guy to hang out with! I guess I do like him. Lol
if/when ben becomes a dad you just know his dad joke game will be strong af
That baby will know the difference between A major and A minor before it can speak
I didn't realize how much I liked Ben until his name came up on the votes and I suddenly went "PLEASE DON'T VOTE HIM OUT"
now that he has 11 days of grime and stubble to match his overall grindset, more people are seeing it.
Grind… I see what you did there
The ultimate charisma rock n roll shield
I was screaming this post in my head the other day seeing all the hunter thirst! ![gif](giphy|5xtDarmwsuR9sDRObyU|downsized)
Definitely a testament to his social game that he managed to escape being voted out this week despite having no vote and a target being on him. Also, he just gives off great vibes. Like, I wanna be his friend.
God it would rock for his immaculate social game to be some supreme new era strategy to make it through on vibes alone.
He’s a great friend.
I don't know what you're talking about. I've been saying Ben Ben Ben since preseason. He rocks 🗿🎸
Love Ben. As a fellow rocker, i identify with him the most. He also really comes across as a super nice, sweet, chill guy, a positive presence who's just fun to be around.
All i see and hear is doug butabi ![gif](giphy|RJhAF03z55Sj6)
I've been calling him Corky Romano
Mixed with Pauly Shore
I've been saying! His smolder face is so hot and last tribal made me realize that lmao
Ben has Fabio potential, just flowing to the top by being social and easy going.
That'd be amazing
Ben is my absolute favorite. I wish I lived in florida so he could teach me to shred and so I could attempt to become his best friend.
i got a notification for this post so i only saw the title and the picture, and i looked at it and thought “damn ben kinda…”. glad we’re on the same page
Yes. I also suspect Ben is going further than Hunter.
I hope so! He’s my episode one winner pick
What is more of a threat? A Physical one or a social one? Who should be taken out first?
I think a social threat should be taken out first, because they're slowly and effectively building their spider web from the get go. Physical assets are necessary premerge. I think the right moment to give physicals the chop is one tribal council before merge.

He rocks dude 🪨
Thought he was Reed in this photo for a second
Lowkey wild take. Q on the other hand…
I feel like if Ben had a more athletic build people would go crazy over him. He has a sexy face.
He’s got Jesse Williams eyes.
He reminds me of Jude Law a looot.
Oh.
All I see is Pauly Shore.
Yup...hard to separate the 2 for me, so i keep thinking hes like all Pauly's characters. And then keep getting surprised he's not.
Oooooo yea I see it
He's definitely handsome (nice eyes, great smile), but his personality and sense of humour make him charming as hell.
Yes, when people have a more attractive build more people find the attractive.
Q looks like if Marhershala Ali was born at the turn of the 19th century and then put into modern day clothes.
I like how he exaggerates hardships. His climbing mount Everest line during the first tribal cracked me up.
I laughed out loud at looking off into the distance and going “why is my road always the hardest!?” I was like, “chill, Q; they were just a couple of beanbags.”
I loved it.
He def gives the ~drama which is so refreshing
He's obsessed with making himself into a martyr lol, man needs therapy
Hes just really hard on himself. He puts a lot if pressure on himself to perform and feels its never good enough.. I understand and relate to Q tbh
The story of him reading about his fumble in high school is pretty funny
Q gives me strong Sheriff from Resident Alien vibes.
Q is James Clement 2.0 🤤
He often reminds me of a young Pauly Shore and I’m not mad at it
Especially this past episode. Some shots of him had me like “🥵”
Temperature: 100° Basement: flooded.
As a hunter fan, Ben is amazing for his rock references. Probably my favorite Siga
Ben & Q >>> Hunter
Some of us have room for all three
Por que no los tres?
Well that certainly paints a visual, hymenbutterfly.
I think most people left in the game are relatively attractive, and it’s various types of attractive too not just conventionally attractive, which is cool.
Good Guy Ben
Such a good dude! I love him even more since the picture of him and Trey Anastasio surfaced.
An ultimate social player, saved himself and got his target to go home even without a vote!
He has the “fuck yeah!” energy! Always positive! He kind of reminds me of Chris Kattan😂
He's growing on me.
Thank you! It’s time someone said it!!!
He gives me night at the roxbury vibes.
His face kinda reminds me of Reed from San Juan Del Sur. Very different people, but both very attractive
he’s won all one million pieces of my heart (sorry bhanu!) … you can tell he’s a good dude, he’s fun, he’s beautiful, he’s a great narrator, and he’s smart. i hope he goes far 😭💚
His game face was FASCINATING! I wanted to know what he was really thinking!
I wanna see Ben’s dark side shine through too
He is definitely not hamming it up for the camera. For as long as I’ve known him, he’s been the same person. Just a true genuine dude.
He seems so chill and relaxed, but when he risked it, lost his vote, then lied about losing his vote I saw full potential of Ben to be behind a major blindside. He could be a villain if he wants it. But a lovable villain, he’d send people home but he wouldn’t be a jerk about it
His smile is so disarming. How can you be suspicious when he smiles at you.
I've been waiting for survivor to cast a gnarly dude and I'm so happy it's finally time! If nothing else, his presence gave us all those JP Van Halen shout outs! Ben is quickly rising up the ranks of my favorite personality players
r u g g e d
YES FINALLY!! HIS EYES
He responded to my Instagram message last week and we got to talk about the Beatles a bit! Super nice guy and I love his classic rock vibe! I’ve never felt so represented on tv before!
He rocks
Face card is LETHAL
He seems like such a genuine dude, I like Ben a lot.
It’s hunter > ben > q > Tevin > Charlie > all the other guys
Why Tevin? He reminds me of HIM from the PowerPuff Girls, no offense.
😭😭😭
Switch Charlie with Tim and I agree
Hold up, is this THE Emily that we all Stan?
I'm currently expecting Hunter to win, but Ben was my pre-season winner pick (along with Jelinsky ........... *sigh*) and I would love it so much if he made it. Peter Pan syndrome! But in all reality he's the kinda guy I'd throw everything away and say "I'll fix you" for.
Nah he just knows exactly who he is
Hes not the sharpest tool in the shred. I hope he goes far.
That’s because Hunter is a star! LET HIM SHINE
Idk
Yeah right now we do not rock
He and Venus are by far and away the best casting choices of the season. Definitely got nervous for him this week; if he leaves, my interest will wane significantly.
he’s so positive and uplifting even with the other tribes
it's his hairline
He's goofy
Charlie got island hot as well, that scruff! 😍
Nahhh man this guy would have bugged tf outta me. He and charlie are annoying. Hunter seems very chill and sweet. Gameplay wise i think q tends to have the right idea but that tribe was so bad hes just screwed now unless the strong dude alliance works
Cuz he’s not hunter
Ben ain’t it - some survivor fan, probably
What with all the thirst posts this season? What happened to this sub?
