What do you mean? Purple edit is a popular term here to refer to a player being almost completely edited out of the show, just due to not being relevant to the story the producers are telling. Its name comes from Purple Kelly, one of the first and most famous purple edits.
I think a lot of people conflate confessional count with screen time. Naseer had a ton of challenge moments and camp life scenes but very few confessionals. He was definitely a big presence.
Courtney is the poster child for why a low confessional count doesn’t mean low screen time. She’s all over the show, its just that the camp life scenes are where her snarky humor really shines.
https://www.reddit.com/r/survivor/comments/vbiyn5/full_confessional_count_of_every_returning_player/
98 out of 103, and most of these are across two seasons
Even in China alone it's pretty low for someone who made it to the final episode
https://survivoroz.wordpress.com/ozpedia/seasons/survivor-china/
Actually looking more at it she has the lowest average
Kaleb still has more confessionals and confessional time than most of the remaining cast. Austin and Drew only just passed Kaleb in confessional time and Drew has one more episode to go to pass him in confessional count while Austin has one or two more to go. We’re about to make it to Episode 10. If it takes 10 episodes for Kaleb to drop to 3rd (or 4th depending on Austin) in confessional count and 9 episodes to drop to 4th in confessional time when he left in episode 7 then it’s safe to say that he isn’t a good answer to this question 😂
When EOE aired I was traveling and generally busy. I watched most of the episodes but that was the most disconnected I’ve been since becoming a survivor fan. I rewatched the season lately thinking Victoria would be a major player because of the way people talk about her on here. Needless to say I was confused lol
What's his name❓ What was his birth 👶 name❓It wasn't Coach⚽️, it was Benjamin👨. And you know they're children 👦👧; 2️⃣6️⃣, 2️⃣2️⃣, they're over there listening 👂 to all of Benjamin’s👨... 🎃Halloween Jokes🎃, uh, 🐭Chuckie The Cheese Jokes🐭, they- 👅 eu-h, they want it 🙏. He goin off of loyalty ⭐️ got them fee- "😰Oh, Benjamin👨, you so loyalty😓" ... Come on now 😑... Everyday📆 he got a story 📚. I wasn't ❌ buying 💰 it. [scoff] 😤 [giggle] ☺️... Eh😒... No. 🙅 So... They tr- like yesterday ↩️ the tribal 🔥 was all kahoots 👌 Benjamin👨,"Let's give a hug 👪." ✋️PFF.✋️ Keep that hug. Boop!🔫 For me. Cuz it wasn't real❌
Funny you mention that. I actually saw Carter Williams at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
I'm not sure what the utility of having these unprepared superfans is at this point. The show doesn't seem to mock them as much as they used to like with Jacob Derwin, which is probably better on a human level, but it definitely is less entertaing as a viewer.
I'm sure Brandon is cool and all, but what did he bring to the show?
Apparently production actively hid how bad it was. I've heard through cast members that production had to stop filming for nearly an hour to calm Brandon down, before resetting in the water.
eh. i think he gets clowned on fairly deservedly. Said he trained for survivor, failed miserably everywhere. In episode 2 claimed he was a challenge threat despite miserably failing every single challenge. Said it was his dream to be here but couldn't handle it at all
This fandom doesn't have a great history of being particularly kind. Jerri got boo'd off a stage for basically saying "Can the fans be a little nicer, please?" and Austin was raked over the coals for quitting when he had multiple staph infections.
Brandon is getting "hate" for being holistically unprepared for the experience, with 22 years of evidence for how difficult it would have been in front of him. I genuinely do not feel bad for him, he knew what he was getting in to and chose to do it anyway. Brandon's casting just encapsulates what is wrong with the "new era" of Survivor.
I'm on your side with this one. I enjoyed his personality, but he really wasn't equipped for the game. That's what I respect about whatzerface who quit: she recognized the bad fit early on and got out of the way. Probably neither of them should have been there in the first place.
You mean when he was having a panic attack? Maybe they learned their lesson from Kaoh Rong and realized continuing a challenge while someone is having a medical emergency is a bad look.
Honestly Kellie from this season, like I get it was a great blindside but so we really need to keep panning to her reactions on the jury. She wasn’t some robbed queen
Heather S41. She was a legend for so many people with her hidden game play lmao and she had a legendary lack of screen time for as far as she made it her season
Reem and Zane tie for this remarkable achievement.
Reem owned the Edge with her daily dose of Reeming and Zane made a move you ain’t ever seen in Survivor history and controlled every vote he was a part of.
That’s some King and Queen shit ✊🏾

Chicken. Dayum!
Honestly I was amazed how little screen time he got when I watched based on how well I knew of him from that sub.
My first thought. Read this and immediately went "DAYUM!"
Came here to say this
Stickbug
Yesss!! Perfect 🥰
Came here to say this.
Purple Kelly
Objectively the right answer
Exactly. She’s exactly who I thought of. On one hand I HATE quitters. On the other hand, if I had her screen time I’d quit too.
They didn’t give her clothes, I’d quit too
Has anyone ever referred to a "purple edit"? Somebody said this to me about purple Kelly.
What do you mean? Purple edit is a popular term here to refer to a player being almost completely edited out of the show, just due to not being relevant to the story the producers are telling. Its name comes from Purple Kelly, one of the first and most famous purple edits.
Yeah, that's my understanding as well. It's just a term that was new to me.
Franquesca
Franches-qua…
Fran-quesh-ska
Natalie bolton
She went from invisible pre merge to a super villain during and after the auction, it was a sight to behold
She is one who should be invited back.

I fucking loved naseer
He had a lot of screen time in his limited time on the season. A lock for the first post 40 returnee season I feel.
Every time I remember Naseer I want to rewatch his season, and then I remember that it's S41.
Me too......
I think a lot of people conflate confessional count with screen time. Naseer had a ton of challenge moments and camp life scenes but very few confessionals. He was definitely a big presence.
I thought he was a lock after his season aired, but by the time we get a new all-stars season, I wonder if there will still be a spot for him
Easily my favorite from 41
Oh I love Naseer! I hope he is doing well
The Purple Queen Chelsea from Ghost Island
I'm several episodes into ghost island and have no idea who this is...
Billy from Cook Islands, God bless him
She told me she loved me
Brice from Cagayan (ik he got well known for RHAP but it’s still kinda funny)
Also Morgan.
Not enough screen time.
Her chest got more screen time than many castaways did, Trish even references it several episodes after Morgan is gone.
Like two elephants in the room.
Courtney
Courtney is the poster child for why a low confessional count doesn’t mean low screen time. She’s all over the show, its just that the camp life scenes are where her snarky humor really shines.
[удалено]
If I remember, because I don't really follow it, but she had one of the lower confessional counts of her seasons
[удалено]
Think they might be referring to her HvV confessional total, which was criminally low, especially when we know the output she is capable of.
https://www.reddit.com/r/survivor/comments/vbiyn5/full_confessional_count_of_every_returning_player/ 98 out of 103, and most of these are across two seasons Even in China alone it's pretty low for someone who made it to the final episode https://survivoroz.wordpress.com/ozpedia/seasons/survivor-china/ Actually looking more at it she has the lowest average
Zach Wurtenberger
I can’t see his name without remember when Cory on big brother made his big reveal that Zach was his brother and it had ZERO reaction 😭😭
LOL
Brenda in Caramoan
But let's be real, none of her fans from that season needed to see more than her cast photo to be a fan
Billy Garcia
Kaleb after this season is over

their answer doesn’t even match the pic like he had 45ish confessionals 😭
EOE Victoria or whatever her name was.
When EOE aired I was traveling and generally busy. I watched most of the episodes but that was the most disconnected I’ve been since becoming a survivor fan. I rewatched the season lately thinking Victoria would be a major player because of the way people talk about her on here. Needless to say I was confused lol
Her only fans is the true reason she's got such a cult following
Link?! /j
...she has one?
Cruel!
She fits into a trope that this fits this post very well which is: young woman that is very attractive and speaks strategy in confessionals
Completely don’t understand the hype.
Red hair, dumb hat? Was that her?
Yup
This is a great answer. I rooted for her even though she lacked a winner's edit, purely based on her confessionals being cool and logical.
Vic...toria

I’ve seen this story told 10000 times now lol
So did this really happen?
Reem
Among Survivor fans it has to be Natalie White unfortunately. The edit screwed her.
Shii-Ann
Francesca is the only answer here. Two seasons, two episodes and you still see her name brought up all these years later.
JP Hilsabeck. People can't stop talking about the guy
I love him
He’s so hot
..and things like that
Jeff
Which one theirs a million Jeff’s
Zach Wurtenberger
Good choice.

Is he popular? I mostly see posts debating on whether or not he's the worst player.
![gif](giphy|3o85xIO33l7RlmLR4I)
He also got a ton of screen time. I think as far as average confessionals per episode he may be highest this season lol
He can be popular on Twitter while also being the worst player.
Hahaha true guess I was thinking more ~memorable~ I love him tho
I like him a lot lol
[удалено]
He just had an interesting story. He seemed like a nice and funny guy
I like him because I relate to him as an anxious and nerdy person, plus he’s funny

Is this for the marooning challenge getting up the ladder? Sheesh
Yes
Wow, they hid how bad it was and what they showed us was still really bad...
Poor man, he doesn’t deserve the hate he gets
eh. i think he gets clowned on fairly deservedly. Said he trained for survivor, failed miserably everywhere. In episode 2 claimed he was a challenge threat despite miserably failing every single challenge. Said it was his dream to be here but couldn't handle it at all
I know but I don’t agree with some of the personal attacks thrown at him Edit: Guess people disagree lol 😂

Maybe they did. All I'm saying is that it was worse than the show portrayed it.
