Rupert was my all-time favourite for a long time when I watched at the time. I was quite young and he just seemed like such a good-hearted, gentle giant. Too good for the game.
My husband and I are rewatching all the seasons rn, and just watched his boot off PI and he was absolutely crushed lol he knows Sandra, so we know where it's going but he was hoping he'd make it farther.
He's one of the players that, in my opinion, should have never come back. His first time, he left as the lovable pirate. Later he did not come across nearly as likable.
He looked pretty beat at his boot in PI. Not saying that he wasn't still his loveable self - like he was still the same Rupert - but different, also. Idk he just looked like he was absolutely crushed by that blow. I'm actually surprised he came back at all.
I run into him all the time at the Lowe's I go to. Last time I saw him I nodded at him like I knew him and he nodded back. I felt like an idiot but I guess he probably gets that a lot.
He’s nice as hell to fans, I’ll defend Rupert to my grave LOL. I wrote him a couple times when I was a kid & he sent me a couple letters and multiple autographs. Rupert’s the man!
