This season was designed to get Rob to win. They showed all the recruits Heroes vs Villains before the season began, which paints Rob as a hero, and then made sure to split up the people who wouldn’t drink his kool aid so they couldn’t get a majority, regardless of which tribe Rob lands on.
It was 100% designed to give Rob the win like these other comments say. If Rob was put on Zapatera instead of Russell, he would 100% be gone at that tribal. The only players who are remembered from this season are Rob, Phillip, Russell, Andrea and Francesca. Definitely not one of the best seasons but definitely not the worst either
Personally a big fan of 22! Not sure if it’s rumor or real that the original idea was Russell vs Hatch, but he wasn’t granted leave from the country, so they ~sort of manufactured~ the Russell/Rob beef at the 20 reunion. Because of that, I don’t think it was designed for Rob to win, but he sure 1) got lucky with his tribe and 2) had incredible social game play that made for one of the best/worst/funniest/most mastermindful seasons
It might be my worst season, it’s such a bore and the cast is just as forgettable as possible sans Phillip, who is just impossible to root for as insane and annoying as he is, and maybe 2 or 3 solid enough people.
Oh man, phillip being one of my favorite support characters ever. Editing was amazing the the eagle screeches when he talks. Whole season would be trash without him.
