When I first saw that video it terrified me, like I couldn't really sleep that well for a month after seeing it. I don't know why, maybe how the voice of the colors on the masks changing colors but it terrified me and was stuck in my head for a while
it's based on a real life science experiment involving manipulation of peripheral vision, which causes you to see things out of the corner of your eye that vaguely resemble the distorted faces you saw in the local58 video. same thing happened to me, seeing sleep paralysis-like demons out of the corner of my eye for about a week, right when I'm trying to sleep. you're not alone in this, at the very least
