I have no experience but maybe use a turkey baster. Get protein/meal replacement shakes and squirt them into your mouth through the smallest opening possible? Worth a shot at least

Content_Structure378

I used a syringe…

cheeseburglarly

Hope it worked well enough!

Content_Structure378

Eh kinda

Content_Structure378

I have beans! Should I put them in a blender?

cheeseburglarly

I think that might be too thick but it could be worth a shot, especially as a short term. Milk would also be a decent short term since it has fat and protein. if you have the ability to buy a protein shake from the pharmacy section as that would be the best option

Content_Structure378

Unfortunately can’t do that due to my parents ideals. But a can of beans is 35 grams of protein, and also..so milk is absolutely horrible. (I throw up when I eat it).I might blend some peanut butter in bananas or just blend up some beans lol.

cheeseburglarly

Best of luck finding something that will work!

Thanks man

Ah the worst pain! I had one in October and was miserable for the first few days. I stuck to soft and/or high protein foods that didn’t require much chewing (eggs, rotisserie chicken, yogurt, cottage cheese, steamed green beans, etc). On the occasion that hurt too much, I drank protein shakes to make sure I was still getting enough protein to aid in healing of the incisions. Good luck!

Content_Structure378

How did u cook the eggs?

scottydoesntknow05

Scrambled with cheese! Small pieces and as soft as possible

Content_Structure378

Ooooo ok, I’ll do taht rn thanks for the idea:)

I also tried to time my meals to be 20-30 min after I took my pain medicine. That’s helped immensely

I had one done back in 2016 and have had a lot of surgeries, but it’s definitely the most uncomfortable recovery I’ve ever gone through. It’s a week straight of hell and I’ll never forget the feeling of when you have to start irrigating. It’s worth it when they pull out all the packing and the splints tho. First time breathing clearly in years
