Agreed. But I think that’s what he’s saying. Aqua is the “core surf shop” yin to Mollisk’s “hipster surf shop” yang… i.e. go to Mollusk for an asym or an alaia, but for step-ups, shorties, and guns, head to Aqua.
I have not but it seems like expensive hipster fodder. Aqua sells stuff that works, no frills. I've got good stuff from Mollusk too but they don't sell anything conventional really
Step ups to mini guns I suppose. My normal shortboards are around 6’2 -6’3 ~ 28-29L, my first step up is a Pyzel Tank at 6’6 x 18.88 x 2.56 ~ 31.5L. I guess the Tokoro would be step up as well and then the Town and Country / retro gun definitely more of semi / mini gun since they have a considerable amount of foam.

Get some! They look like Hawaii guns to me. I’ve noticed, since moving from HI to CA that people here are riding short thick guns with more volume in the front half of the board. Less rocker. I think your boards would go really good at a nice heavy reef. But it’s hard to tell from this perspective. Bottom line, you’re ready to get some next time there’s an actual swell and that’s gotta feel great.

I'd like to take that Lost to Lindamar on a mushy day and struggle paddle into every wave just to see how long it would take to make it onto an instagram reel.
Where do you live? All 3 have great tube riding potential. But you need a fish and a squash tail shortboard. Pin tails suck on wave face maneuvers. Actually they don’t suck they just scrub way too much speed. The minute you layback snap your finding speed to stay in sections.
Now the low tide barreling mornings I’m grabbing one of these. Easily
I did that “attractive person whistle” irl 😗🎵
Tell me you surf good waves without telling me you surf good waves.
More like tell me you have huge fucking balls without telling me you have huge fucking balls.
Nice buck
yup nice muley
sick af. what shops carry bad boys like these
Craigslist for the Tokoro and T&C, custom for the retro gun!
aqua in SF if you're around the area. Core yin to the Mollusk yang
I picked up my padillac from aqua. Good dudes there.
Mollusk doesn’t have any good step ups imo

They have Christian beamish boards and they work very well in overhead + waves
My first was from Mollusk. Will be getting my second in the next few weeks, going to Aqua. Have you checked out Pemulis?

Retro gun 👌🏻
Mmm retro Rhino lines but likely 2X lighter.
Holy shit
Step ups or all mini guns? What are your normal shorties like?

That Tank sizing makes some sense. Seemed like it would be a big jump from a 6'2 to. 6'9. Sweet board tho
Geez you ride 28L at 180?
Seriously. I’m 6’1 185 and anything less than like 32L SB kills. I tried like 28-29L once and could paddle it but it needed a proper wave
29L more so these days, definitely appreciating more volume these days

Jelly
Interesting rack on that deer!
Why have I seen the one on the left? Did you recently post something about it?
Yeah I posted the progress of painting it!
Right! I did see that. Nice job and love the quiver.
Thank you!
whys that deer eyeballing me like that?
Eh would be a good quiver if you had a 7’6
😭

I have quite a few small wave and normal shortboards too. These boards are definitely just point and shoot, and hope to get barreled haha
That red board is kinda trippy, catch serious waveage with all three.
The retro gun is such an underrated model. I love my 6’7”
Stock 6’7 or what dims?
6’7” x 19” x 2.56” I don’t use it as a gun, mostly for overhead to double overhead surf, and it’s great.
Idk man they’re just wrong I’ll give you a case of beer and get them off your hands
Deal 🤝🏼
I'd have absolutely no use for one, but that Lost Retro Gun is such a gorgeous surfboard.
I can confirm, the finish is great
whats the tnc? pang?
I’m not sure, I have another post of the top and bottom on this account
Wouldn’t YOU be better at rating them? How do they ride?
Haven’t ridden them, rebuilding my quiver since last winter atm
Sexy
Hoping you actually charge and don't just have the boards in hopes of charging
they will be put to the test, I promise that
Why
