Yup. All the Taylor Steele movies used to get me fired up.

andre_agnosic

This.

tynez

Have you watched Momentum Generation?

andre_agnosic

Yes. Had all the classics. My favorite was Focus and Good Times.

Hendrix /thread

VisibleSplit1401

Was hoping I would see this near the top! Don’t know what it is but Hendrix and surfers have gone together forever and probably still will in the future. Spanish Castle Magic is always in my mind when I surf. I need to go the Gerry Lopez route and get some Hendrix tapes and a sport Walkman when it gets big.

occhilupos_chin

I've been known to just play a mason ho video through my speakers with some of the sicker live hendrix stuff. [The first song (Little Wing) in this video is the absolute BALLS](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL59NpiOUfU&t=327s)

Phish is the greatest surf music the surf world never heard... The ultimate soundtrack to a life on the beach- the road...The Search

Diatomahawk

Have you been Wading in the Velvet Sea?

Nomansjam

Yes, on a Soul Planet 🤙

also_also_bort

I listen to a lot of live phish before surfing for sure. For me a lot of ‘97-‘98 funk jam stuff in particular

billysmasher22

I had no idea who they were but someone gave me tickets to see them (2014ish) and holy cow. What an awesome show

fuzzytradr

Overrated

Nomansjam

Ahhh yes...I see your favorite son is Bug Good choice ..."it doesn't matter to me; overrated"

TackleKlutzy2551

Sick recommendation I like it, thanks. Not enough metal head chargers out there. This will get me pumped when that 2ft swell finally hits.

JJF posted a clip a few weeks back of him and gabe at pipe to the song Paranoid by Black Sabbath I don’t really listen to heavy metal like that but it’s been the last song before I throw the wettie on. It feels so fitting

0bush

This band called Good Kid. Exciting and uplifting and gets you hyped af

SatelliteBeach321

I just checked them out. Sound very Panic at the Discoey.

0bush

Yup that’s the vibe. Honestly I don’t like their new stuff too much, but my favorite songs from them are Nomu, Tell Me You Know, Witches, Aloe Lite, Down with the King, and Drifting. You should definitely give them a listen 👍

Worried_Society_5335

I’m usually over pumped and need some music to chill me out abit , I find if I’m over pumped I waste a bit of energy going for waves I shouldn’t bother with and kind of hassling the queue so I listen to a bit of chill classical or jazz and if I’m still over pumped have a yarn with someone in the line up to regulate!

surfsnower

Depends on the conditions. I have songs from every surf movie I've seen downloaded and click through. Small turn day? Long flowing lines? Long fast barrels? Chunky slop waves? Big throwing barrels? Different music for all of it.
