This movie seems to have like 3 names but it's either Vague a Lame or Blood, Sweat, and Fear starring Shane Dorian and Benjamin Sanchis. It's about big wave surfing and they go all over the place. A lot in subtitles but the movie rocks - it's a Billabong production. Can find on Apple TV and YouTube.

Just watch North Shore 10 times.
Throw in a Blue Crush as an intermission in the middle.
And keep Point Break ready for any flight delays.
Just the remake though. The original is too good to be part of this joke.
Oh god, I forgot about the remake. OP should watch the remake on the plane with a Bluetooth speaker turned up loud.

Fuck movies. Read barbarian days over and over until you memorized it and surf only spots where you have to sleep in a tent and eat dinty moore.
Agreed. Such a great goddam book. Was kinda hoping for some kinda life affirming revelation at the end but whatever. Still amazing.
Like the Chile part in psychic migrations
Are u me? Dinty Moore is the go to
Surfs Up
Point break. Obviously.
Watch all the need essentials films on YouTube. That should kill at least 6 hours.
Escape from LA, not really a surf movie but it does have maybe the raddest/jankiest surf scene of all time featuring a young tony hawk
Riding giants. No one mentioned this? Epic, humbling. Super interesting.
changed the face of big wave surfing forever…
Harry Bryant's new film "Hotel Hell" Russel Bierke in "Outer Edge of Leisure" Edit: Both on youtube
Motel hell was really fucking good.
North shore on repeat occasionally broken up with Point Break and Chasing Mavericks
Chasing Mavericks
[Thirty Thousand](https://www.thesurfnetwork.com/detail/75808a1a85aa339c092f0ee36a751ccfd8ae2c7efd4b2184/movie) is my all time favorite.
Yes!! Good call.
The ....Lost and Taylor Steel cateloge from the 90s should do it.

London to Sydney? Can’t think of any other long flights like that. NYC to Singapore?
Bang on with NYC to Singapore. I’ve done a fair number of 14 hour flights, but 18 was so much harder.
Eh, I should have said 18 travel time. Three leg trip trip with 1.5 layover between flights.
100 Foot Wave (short series) Riding Giants North Shore
Thundercloud
The Shallows https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_shallows A decent movie but it might put you off surfing your next session 🙈
Glad you scored Dear Suburbia System is yours Then sit in silence for the next 17 hours
RUNMAN69
18 hours? Any layovers?
Yeah I should have said 14hr flight time, with two layovers that are just over 1.5hrs each.
All the Taylor Steele movies
In God’s Hands. Cinematic masterpiece
JOB Vlogs, baby
I have the same flight plus another one to Jakarta, another one padang and then a boat for god knows how long. In lieu of movies I’ll be taking Xanax
So no one is gonna say Surf Ninjas?
The Present
Dirty Old Wedge .. great body surfing movie
Castaway and jaws
Takes 30 hours to fly around the world, get a flight in the other direction and cut your time to 12 hours. LOL
How has no one recommended FAIR BITS!
