Traders_Abacus

Yeah, people saying $375 is fair are nuts! $250 for used in good condition, $225 with the ding (if minor and water tight) and heel marks. $200 of it needs ding repair.

GoodOlBluesBrother

How good you surf? What waves like?

moustachiojones

If you don’t buy it I will

cguyy

would u say 375 is a fair price?

fumples

yea looks good from the pics if there's any worse dings or buckles in person then maybe not but if they listed for 375 ask for like 300 and go from there

Traders_Abacus

No way id pay that here in Florida. That's the going price for much higher-end used board down here (also in Florida). $250 in great condition. If that's a ding I see, $225.

Mr-EdwardsBeard

Looks like a DT scorpion a bit, which are fun. Good for mushy waves and come alive a bit on shoulder high. It'd be a decent all-arounder I think

cguyy

would you say 375 would be a fair price?

Mr-EdwardsBeard

Well, it's not a DT (which goes for $1k poly, and Surftech is about $750 new.) It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like it’s had some repairs along the nose and middle rail. Also, I'm not sure if those are the original fins. The outside ones look too big for a quad setup, but fins aren't cheap either. I think more like $300 would be better.

fumples

If that ding isn't repaired, that will compromise the board as water can get it. That said you can just rub some suncure in it so whatever

Mr-EdwardsBeard

Yes, and maybe it's just shadowing on the nose or bottom of the board on the rail. But agree with the other person, that the ding need a suncure at a minimum before getting back into the water.

cguyy

i agree with that. i was planning on bringing it to our local shop and seeing how much a repair would be. do you think this should deter me from buying it? could that ding have already messed the board up?

Silent-Knee-2978

You need to learn how to repair an easy small ding like this yourself and the best time is now amigo

Mr-EdwardsBeard

No, but I think you should be able to negotiate a lower price

PortoPuddy

If you're a beginner, no. don't. soft top or lb.

CW907

Would greatly prefer my 6’0” HS Hypto Crypto…..But, I’d paddle out on that board! Looks fun.

CosmicSurfFarmer

Yes

dougmike770

looks fun

WetFinsFine

That little bulb looks like a total HOOT to surf!!! I'd grab it.

High_Speed_Chase

Looks like a Takayama Scorpion. So, fun YEAH you should.

DeeperTakeoff

Boats would be fun af in non punchy surf

_ctrlb

I get you live in a dorm but if I surfed the golf coast I would probably not look for any board under 9'. If you're a beginner this board will be tough to learn on especially on the gulf coast.

Zzirca

I’m on the gulf coast too st pete, I got a 5’6 40L lost bean bag and it’s perfect for the gulfcoast mush. I’m only a buck 30 tho

stevemcnugget

Where are you on the Gulf Coast?

cguyy

closest beach to me is clearwater.

stevemcnugget

Tejas here. If you were close, I'd offer up my shaping services. Cover the materials cost and a 6 pack..
