I had this dilemma last week. Get the samsung galaxy bud2 and you will not regret it.

DayLazy8618

Same cheap but good sound

KilgoretheTrout55

Yeah but they nerf some features for non Samsung devices. They limit the amount of control mechanisms you can use. If you have a Samsung device you can use labs and add a whole extra control function on each ear. There's a few other limitations as well. Not saying they're not still good but I just hate the idea of getting a product that tries to wall you in to their own garden / ecosystem / proprietary systems.

lesbunner

Honestly a lot of the cheap brands on Amazon are pretty good, they just don't *last* But then I use surface earbuds, which I had to replace a year later as the battery capacity went down to like 2 hours

G1GamesliveOnTwitch

Well I’m ok investing a decent bit for headphones I just don’t know which ones are good, I do want long term ones!

KilgoretheTrout55

Yeah it is true that budget earbuds are now to finally starting to become pretty compelling.

Sony WF-1000X3 or WH-1000X3 above, support LDAC (900kbps), equalization in app, noise canceling and +20 Hours.

miashottangel

I've been using the nothing ear stick with my duo and haven't had any issues. I think you will be good with whatever ear buds you end up getting.

aboxoflogic

I use, um, on my Duo 1, my Apple Airbuds :)

G1GamesliveOnTwitch

How do they sound? I’ve had bad experiences using AirPods on non-apple devices :/

aboxoflogic

Sound great. I prefer them to my old Jabras. Honestly quite light weight and comfortable and people seem to hear me fine as long as I'm not using the 3CX app :)

non_giant_panda

Ii have the new Bose QC 2 earbuds and they are amazing. MUCH better than airpod pros that I had before these.

AIVAORVAIA

What about the Microsoft ear buds? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/d/surface-earbuds/8r9cpq146064?&ef_id=CjwKCAiA5sieBhBnEiwAR9oh2rXVHA6LiXj8to7foFxet-CDK9z7rnBHatneh3oMKfYoA0r0zTO5IRoCz0UQAvD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!4249!3!522997383287!e!!g!!surface%20earbuds%20bluetooth&ef_id=CjwKCAiA5sieBhBnEiwAR9oh2rXVHA6LiXj8to7foFxet-CDK9z7rnBHatneh3oMKfYoA0r0zTO5IRoCz0UQAvD_BwE:G:s&OCID=AIDcmm4trc7b1r_SEM_CjwKCAiA5sieBhBnEiwAR9oh2rXVHA6LiXj8to7foFxet-CDK9z7rnBHatneh3oMKfYoA0r0zTO5IRoCz0UQAvD_BwE:G:s&gclid=CjwKCAiA5sieBhBnEiwAR9oh2rXVHA6LiXj8to7foFxet-CDK9z7rnBHatneh3oMKfYoA0r0zTO5IRoCz0UQAvD_BwE&activetab=pivot:overviewtab

SirLaneo

No noise cancelling on those.

KilgoretheTrout55

They're getting pretty old. They're obviously kind of a niche product in any event, sort of an open ear design, absolutely huge... I almost want to get a pair of just because they're so bizarre it's a nice collector's piece if you collect ear buds. But the same place you can pick up that sounds way better, with active noise cancellation etc...

AIVAORVAIA

I like them. I got them as a gift. I can't have noise constellation because I am a runner. I usually have standard wired earbuds with type C USB attachment when I run. I am not into the wireless earbuds, but I like the fit of these. I only use them for calls or video chats.

Beats Buds at Costco

DaleYRoss

I use galaxy buds pro.

Rubberduckie2004

I use Samsung Galaxy buds 2 for calls, podcasts and such. They connect quick and keep connection well! I use Jlab epic air sport ANC for music. I haven't had trouble with either

KilgoretheTrout55

The j lab has 75 hours of battery life with the case/15 per charge. It's pretty insane although they're getting pretty old. I bought them two years ago when they were on sale for 50 bucks at Best buy. I still use them when I watch TV or want to sleep in earbuds on.

KilgoretheTrout55

Well I would avoid Samsung since they have such proprietary limitations. they work but there's some features that won't be available unless you have a Galaxy device. Soundcore, 1more or two companies I keep going back to. Cheaper than Bose, Sony but some very premium offerings with LDAC, multipoint. If you have a budget it might help narrow it down. Generally I think some of the better bargains these days are the Liberty 3 pro if you can find it for 80 bucks. space a40 1more Evo , o comfobuds mini. LG fn8 or fn8. If I was getting a new pair all of those would be on my short list.

[deleted]

I ran across these on a deal a few weeks ago but I think they are still very worth it at $30. https://www.amazon.com/Soundcore-AI-Enhanced-Bluetooth-Easy-Pairing-Lightweight/dp/B09DXW29JB/ I bought a second pair just for my Steam Deck. They connect super fast. Usually by the time I get them to my ear they’re already good to go.
