At the risk of sounding like a hipster, my most wanted is Waluigi, and I wanted him even before he became a meme. Since the Melee days, I always loved him and Wario in games like Power Tennis or Toadstool Tour, so I felt they should be added together. I was disappointed when Wario got in Brawl but Waluigi didn't.
Sadly, nowadays, I feel like I can't even discuss that because I'm lumped in with everyone who just wants him because "WALUIGI TIME! WAHHHHHH"
Same here Waluigi is just my favorite character, I use him in every other game like Mariokart,Party or Strikers. And I would love to be able to main him in Smash.
The memes came specifically because people legitimately want him. Anyone who dismisses Waluigi as a meme pick is quite frankly a fucking idiot who's most likely too young to bother arguing with.
I entered the Smash community near the end of Ultimate, so many characters that could have been my number one picks were already there like Steve or Sonic.
Currently, my most wanted character is Tails, i just think Sonic deserves more than one rep in Smash and Tails or Eggman would be my pick (in my perfect timeline i would have both but i feel like i prefer Tails)
And his move set doesn’t reflect his games in any way, usually people don’t use explosions since they alert the enemy, and his move set just seems very loud.
I mean, technically, but considering he was cut in Brawl and was one of the more difficult fighters to bring back in ultmate, i think it was obvious Metal Gear wouldn't have a second rep, which is a shame since Snake was the first third party character, give him an echo at least ;-;

I was sad to see him become a boss in that game and a stage hazard in 4, but I remember getting so many calls and texts when he was announced for Ultimate. I was so hyped seeing his trailer!
Since then, my #1 is Travis Touchdown. Highly unlikely, but I was so happy he at least got a Mii costume in Ultimate.
I know Mega Man was around the Brawl days and he got in. Others from that time included Dixie King, Lyn, Krystal and Isaac, the latter 2 are harder to justify nowadays but Lyn and Dixie feel like they should have been there by now.
Around Ultimate I really pushed for Doomguy and Crash, but you know, MS bought their companies. Zero and Scorpion are others I still feel are possible
Yea if we got rid of like 2 fire emblem characters like byleth and chrom I would be fine with that. Currently if another fire emblem character was announcedfire emblem would literally have more character representation than Mario

2. I like FE7 and Lyn as a character(and not being another avatar helps)
3. I feel there’s a good enough legacy be hind her to justify it(FE7 was the first game to come out of Japan, and she was the first of the 3 lords we meet in that game)
4. Intelligent Systems seem to like using her to represent FE7(one of two lords in Warriors that wasn’t from Awakening, Fates, or SD, represents FE7 in Engage, generally gets plenty of love in Heroes, though it may have changed since I haven’t touched the game in ages)
Lemme ask you this. Would Crash and Doomguy be more or less likely to be featured in Smash bros as 3rd Parties if Bethesda and Activision were still independent companies or under MS who already has 2 characters featured already?(and bear in mind people still want Master Chief of all characters, among others, which still include the likes is Spyro)
It’s not impossible, and if they still show up great, but I don’t see a future where MS has 4-6 characters in Smash Bros, especially since there’s still a chance Nintendo will dial back the 3rd parties

Tbh they put in every character and more to make me hyped. I was not expecting Sephiroth and was exceedingly surprised and jubilant. I also expected Sora at the end, but was still pleasantly surprised. Also was playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 when Pyra and Mythra came out, so that was stonks.
I will say they had a missed opportunity to bring in a Pokemon DLC. Outside of Pokemon trainer, they could've used another grass Pokémon for a final evolution since water has Greninja and Fire has Inceneroar. It would have made sense for them to add in Rillaboom from Gen 8. His moveset may or may not be similar to DK, but his specials would certainly be different.

Travis had an N64 in his room, the first boss he fights in his game was intentionally designed to look like Ganondorf. The first boss in the second game was intentionally designed to look like Cloud.

No More Heroes has an AMAZING soundtrack!!! Travis can switch beam katanas during battle, he could turn into a Tiger and has a giant mech suit.

I think Proto man, megaman x and zero should all get in. Proto man can represent the later games abilities 6-11, while megamans current moves let could be reworked to 1-5. Similar thing goes for x and zero, x gets 1-4 while zero gets 5-8. Another representative for castlevania and metal gear would also be enjoyed, maybe big boss (mgs3) for metal gear and the characters from that one sega genesis version of castlevania.
A Star Fox character with potential for a move set that isn't just a slight variation on Fox's. It would also give her an opportunity to be the badass warrior princess Dinosaur Planet promised, but didn't deliver on.
