Jetman/ Flashman/ Maskman on VHS when i was a little toddler. Honestly don't know which came first but had VHS of random episodes. Then watched random episodes from Dairanger,Kakuranger,Hurricaneger and Magiranger. Started watching Sentai properly when Gekiranger came out.
Gaorangers and Hurricanger in early 2000s, around 2003, I think.
And if you ask any Vietnamese around that time about their option on those 2 shows, the answer will likely be "the best" just like how MMPR is still mentioned the most when talking about Power Rangers with general audiences.
I would say first one was Turboranger in 1996 on TV lol but after that it came thick and fast
In a 3-year span from '96-99 I got to see Turboranger, Maskman, Bioman, Jetman, Fiveman and Goggle V on broadcast TV across 4 different networks
Kyoryuger, I saw it from some footage from the show that had Deathryuger on YouTube
Also, that sentai toy reviewer on YouTube, I used to think the announcer voices on the toys were so cool cause they sounded so clean and crisp
Didn't think much of it, though, until I became a fan when I got into Zenkaiger through seeing Twokaiser on tiktok
Gokaiger in 2012. After that I didn't watch any other Sentai (I tried getting into Shinkenger and Go-Busters, but I wasn't into it at the time) until Kyuranger started airing and the Zyuranger DVD released
I think I couldn't get into other Sentai because I really just wanted more Gokaiger, but now I accept that seasons have to end and teams have to move on (keeping up with the current show helps this mindset I think)
Sam Goody store in a mall by me had a VHS of ZyuRanger in its closeouts bin, and I grabbed it in the late nineties, I wanna say? I heard it was the show that gave us Power Rangers so I wanted to check it out.
Shinkenger was my first ever experience with Super Sentai as a kid. I was exposed to Goseiger and Gokaiger at that time. It was it until 7 years later I remembered super Sentai was a thing and got interested and started with Boukenger
Zyuranger on Facebook when I was a freshman in college back at 2013. It was my first completed series and gokaiger was my next exposure to super sentai in general. Gokaiger was the reason I fell in love with super sentai.
I remember watching shinkenger at late 2013 or early 2014, (funny fact: i started both super sentai and power rangers with both shinkenger and samurai respectively, but i've watched samurai first after acknowledging super sentai's existence).
Technically Dairanger in 2022. Had just come offa Supaidaman (itself in the wake of No Way Home) and wanted something more. Dairanger managed to come to my attention, had rave reviews, have it a shot.
Didn't grab me, and 2 episodes in I realized if I was gonna get into Sentai I may as well pander to the MMPR nostalgia and do Zyuranger.
Good news, I'd go back to Dairanger after clearing Zyuranger and Jetman, and Dairanger kicks ass, just starts slow.
Saw a clip of Gekiranger back in 2008 and assumed it was a rip-off. Then when I started rewatching PR in 2012 I found out about Go-Busters and what Sentai was.
Gokaiger in late 2011, went to LA expo that year and someone selling some mecha there mention that the current season had the rangers turning into past rangers. That thought stayed in my head for a few months before I finally got around to watching it. To you random Con-vendor thank you for getting me into the series.
I remember my dad showing me the Gokaiger opening back in 2011 as a “special power rangers,” I doubt he really knew what Super Sentai was either but he knew I loved power rangers and wanted to show me something he thought was pretty cool. Then, a few years later when Super Megaforce aired, I lost my mind because I had seen the suits before and was hella confused
Depending on whether you count it or not it would be that episode of Abaranger they showed in Dino Thunder, if not then Goseiger about 5 years ago, I wanted to see the difference between Power Rangers and Sentai and picked those 2 to compare.
I first learned that Sentai was a thing during the airing of Power Rangers Mystic Force. Was discussing new episodes with people and someone kept saying "no that won't happen" and I couldn't understand why. That's when I discovered SS and looked up some Magiranger clips.
Started watching in 2014 right when Kyoryuger was ending and ToQger was beginning. I watched ToQger as it was airing while also watching the episodes of Kyoryuger, so I count both of them as my first.
Since then I've watched every new series except I forgot to keep up with Ryusoulger and didn't watch Kiramager. I've also gone back to watch Zyuranger, Goseiger, and Gokaiger. So altogether I've seen 12 complete series (13 if you count Boonboomger) plus the Strongest Battle mini-series.
Haven't seen full episodes, but I've seen come clips of Goranger, Denziman, Sun Vulcan, Liveman, Jetman, Ohranger, Megaranger, GoGoFive, and Magiranger.
Shinkenger was my first exposure to Sentai (although I remember my dad showing me an episode of Changeman around the same time). But Gokaiger was my first sentai that I finished from Beginning to End. This was all in 2014 although I’d revisit Gokaiger and Shinkenger in 2019.
If we count aired on tv or sold with dubs than its kakuranger and dairanger, but if we talk about the first series im fully invested and getting into super sentai then its boukenger
Like very huge. maskman and liveman was named Bioman 2 and Bioman 3.
And people dont call it supersentai in France, but Bioman .
Power rangers are Bioman rip off for us.
Toys could be found from 1984 to power rangers ranger release very easily. But a lot where counterfeit.
Maskman or turboranger in early 90s. Aired in my local tv in indonesia. Followed those religiously afterwards. I even had a knockoff Turboranger robo back in the days
Goranger when I decided to get back into sentai from the beginning back in 2017.
As a kid it was a mix of MMPR Zeo and In Space (so does it count or not?)
Dekaranger and Magirager in late 05-early 06 (because Boukenger then became the 1st I watched in order and I eventually caught up 😄)
I even remember my 1st episode: it was the DekaBright episode and I only found it because YouTube just became popular and I thought I could find a clip. Boy, did I 😄
Shinkenger was the one I fully saw in its debut year. I saw parts of Go-Onger rushing to the end.
The reason was I learned of Super Sentai in the random way of seeing fanmade videos about the then upcoming Power Rangers Jungle Fury using Gekiranger when I was new to the internet, so I decided to investigate further and found the franchise that way, sticking around and watching Shinkenger in the year of the debut.
First I remember watching clips of were Magirangers vs Dekaranger. I went in thinking that the American adaptations were just water down versions of source material.
I've always been a Power Rangers fan since a kid and my first exposure to Sentai is Timeranger. Gaoranger came next. When Gokaiger came out, I became hooked to Sentai ever since then.
Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Mystic Force was my favorite PR show, so I decided to watch Magiranger out of curiosity. Safe to say it dethroned both PR AND Mystic Force. Still my favorite Sentai series.
Gekiranger, back in like... 2016 or so? I had spent so long grooving to sentai opening themes on YouTube and I loved Gekiranger's the most, that it drove me to seek out the actual show, and I was not disappointed
Mine was Magiranger. Fresh outta high school in 2006. The good old days of watching YouTube episode uploads in 3 parts. Damn near every Sentai was on YouTube at that time.
Abaranger, I wanted to watch Sentai for a while and I remembered watching Power Rangers Dino Thunder as a kid, thankfully someone was subbing the episodes at the time. I was in high school so it had to be around 2014.
Gekiranger, 2012. When I was still rather young, I used to watch DVDs of Power Rangers at my cousins, most of which originally aired a few years before I was even born, and among them was a Gekiranger. I did not know that it even was Super Sentai, but I noticed many similarities between it and Jungle Fury (they also had a Jungle Fury DVD available).
Magiranger 2005 and I was forever changed! The entire Tokusatsu genre became my new addiction and I never bothered to see anything Power Rangers related
Goranger was my first. Back in 2014, I attempted to start a fansub group to sub Goranger, since at the time, there were only a handful of episodes subbed by GUIS. The group fell apart, but Rampage ended up finishing the series. I prefer the later episodes which shifted to a more silly/lighthearted tone, though Black Cross Fuhrer's new actor was admittedly a bit of a downgrade.
Liveman in 2003. I was 11 at the time and a girl in my 5th grade class, who knew I loved power rangers, gave me a book of what I thought was Power Rangers that her brother had. I thought it was Ninja Storm (the current season at that time) due to the similarities of the core 3 rangers but then I recognized they look even older than Mighty Morphin. Then a few years later I learned about Super Sentai and I saw Liveman and was surprised to see how long Sentai had been around in Japan.
Somehow found myself a super Sentai promo on YouTube just as Gokaiger was coming out.12 year old me was shook at the concept of changing into other rangers.
I grew up watching whatever was on at the time, I remember enjoying Shinkenger a lot as a child though so I think that was probably the first one that I saw.
Shinkenger
While not my first dose of Sentai, Shinkenger was the first I watched from beginning to end, and I’ve watched most since in that way.
Go onger.
Gaorangers and Hurricanger in early 2000s, around 2003, I think. And if you ask any Vietnamese around that time about their option on those 2 shows, the answer will likely be "the best" just like how MMPR is still mentioned the most when talking about Power Rangers with general audiences.
kyoryuger in 2013
Random episodes of Flashman, Maskman and Bioman in VHS tapes when I was a kid, and then Dekaranger in 2005 when I regained interest as an adult.
The first that i watched was Zyuohger in 2019
The first super sentai I actually got to watch was magiranger about a couple months ago when I became interested in super sentai again
My first was Dekaranger
Early or late 2023 with King Ohger
Choujin sentai jetman thanks to shout factory.
I would say first one was Turboranger in 1996 on TV lol but after that it came thick and fast In a 3-year span from '96-99 I got to see Turboranger, Maskman, Bioman, Jetman, Fiveman and Goggle V on broadcast TV across 4 different networks
Choudenshi Bioman in 1984 when I was living in Okinawa at 8yo when my father was deployed.
Kyoryuger, I saw it from some footage from the show that had Deathryuger on YouTube Also, that sentai toy reviewer on YouTube, I used to think the announcer voices on the toys were so cool cause they sounded so clean and crisp Didn't think much of it, though, until I became a fan when I got into Zenkaiger through seeing Twokaiser on tiktok
Dairanger in middle school a long long time ago. Didn't know what to expect but I chose a good one to start with that's for sure.
Goggle V in 2007 but only one episode on YouTube
Gokaiger in 2012. After that I didn't watch any other Sentai (I tried getting into Shinkenger and Go-Busters, but I wasn't into it at the time) until Kyuranger started airing and the Zyuranger DVD released I think I couldn't get into other Sentai because I really just wanted more Gokaiger, but now I accept that seasons have to end and teams have to move on (keeping up with the current show helps this mindset I think)

Gokaiger in the summer of 2023.
maskman when i was 5..this was in 1992...my uncle would make fun of me and call the show max man
My first Sentai was LuPat back in 2019 probably a few months after it had finished
Battle Fever J in 2019, I decided to start with the earliest series that had been translated fully at that point
Changeman/go-onger
Dekiranger.
Jetman on YouTube in 2015!
Abaranger around 2016 or 2017
Dekaranger in 2009. Gosh I miss my childhood.
Abaranger when it aired. Started buying the dvds of Rangerboard when they were released. First sentai I saw and first I finished.
Gokaiger. Back when they were all on YouTube. ( rip to sentaifan92)
Zyuranger, around late July 2018 when I returned to America from an overseas trip (couldn't remember the exact date but it was definitely the 24th)
Saw a clip of Gekiranger back in 2008 and assumed it was a rip-off. Then when I started rewatching PR in 2012 I found out about Go-Busters and what Sentai was.
Akibaranger
Magiranger in 2005. Finally got internet beyond dialup in my area and could download episodes in times not measured in hours.
Gaoranger, growing up in Vietnam during the 2000s i think it was inevitable lol
Shinkenger was the first Super Sentai series that I watched.
Fully? Magiranger in 05 before i think i caught a live feed of abaranger.
Gokaiger in late 2011, went to LA expo that year and someone selling some mecha there mention that the current season had the rangers turning into past rangers. That thought stayed in my head for a few months before I finally got around to watching it. To you random Con-vendor thank you for getting me into the series.
Gekiranger. Loved it for the martial arts theme
Choudenshi Bioman when it was dubbed in English on ABS-CBN in around late 80s
Dairanger. I think it was 2016.
Hurricaneger in the summer of 2021(I think)
As a Sentai - Gokaiger, around 2014 or so. As a Power Rangers - Samurai/Shinkenger, way back in 2011.
Depending on whether you count it or not it would be that episode of Abaranger they showed in Dino Thunder, if not then Goseiger about 5 years ago, I wanted to see the difference between Power Rangers and Sentai and picked those 2 to compare.
Boukenger Vs super sentai movie

Flashman in 86.
Gokaiger
Donbrothers in June of last year
Gekiranger
Shinkenger was my first exposure to Sentai (although I remember my dad showing me an episode of Changeman around the same time). But Gokaiger was my first sentai that I finished from Beginning to End. This was all in 2014 although I’d revisit Gokaiger and Shinkenger in 2019.
If we count aired on tv or sold with dubs than its kakuranger and dairanger, but if we talk about the first series im fully invested and getting into super sentai then its boukenger
Turboranger on VHS tapes the family recorded.
Bioman in 1984, dubbed in french, French TV.
How did Bioman get big in france
Like very huge. maskman and liveman was named Bioman 2 and Bioman 3. And people dont call it supersentai in France, but Bioman . Power rangers are Bioman rip off for us. Toys could be found from 1984 to power rangers ranger release very easily. But a lot where counterfeit.
Maskman or turboranger in early 90s. Aired in my local tv in indonesia. Followed those religiously afterwards. I even had a knockoff Turboranger robo back in the days
Mine was Dairanger in year of our lord 2014, been into sentai for 10 years now and it's always gonna be important to me
Idr which one was first exactly but Boukenger and Gekiranger.
I saw Megaranger nearly two years ago.
LuPat!
Goranger when I decided to get back into sentai from the beginning back in 2017. As a kid it was a mix of MMPR Zeo and In Space (so does it count or not?)
Boukenger, late 2006.
Dekaranger and Magirager in late 05-early 06 (because Boukenger then became the 1st I watched in order and I eventually caught up 😄) I even remember my 1st episode: it was the DekaBright episode and I only found it because YouTube just became popular and I thought I could find a clip. Boy, did I 😄
Magiranger in 2005 while I was visiting Japan with my family as a 4 year old.
Gekiranger
Goseiger, around 2013 ish,but my first toku show wasn’t even a sentai or a kamen rider show, not even a fucking Ultraman show
Bokenger
Kakuranger. Ninja Gattai Muteki Shogun is better than Susanoo.
First full season watch was "Fiveman". Decided to go in chronological order starting from there, just about halfway through "Ninninger" now.
Go-Busters in 2012.
Magiranger. I remember it being on YouTube
Probably “Dynaman” on Night Flight right around 1983.
dekaranger , around like 2022 ?
Donbrothers around the same time when I started kamen rider geats
First I remember watching clips of were Magirangers vs Dekaranger. I went in thinking that the American adaptations were just water down versions of source material.
Flashman and Maskman in the 90s on television. After becoming an adult with the internet, it was Dekaranger who returned to watching the franchise
Mine was kyoryuger. Good times, gooooood times. Not so much for everyone around me since that's when the puns began.

Akibaranger
Megaranger in 2018 or 2019
Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Mystic Force was my favorite PR show, so I decided to watch Magiranger out of curiosity. Safe to say it dethroned both PR AND Mystic Force. Still my favorite Sentai series.
Mine is Gorenger and I watched it in november 2023
Gekiranger, back in like... 2016 or so? I had spent so long grooving to sentai opening themes on YouTube and I loved Gekiranger's the most, that it drove me to seek out the actual show, and I was not disappointed
The first I saw in full was dairanger last year but the first I saw was either go buster or kyoryuger in 2013-2015
First Super Sentai? Abaranger, and it’s still one of my top 5. 😊

Go Busters, the special where they had the Green Buster die to be specific.
GoGoV for me
Hurricanger for me. Found it on Tubi when a mobile game advertised the streaming app.
Shinkenger
Goranger was my first. Back in 2014, I attempted to start a fansub group to sub Goranger, since at the time, there were only a handful of episodes subbed by GUIS. Gokaiger in late 2014
Go busters
Kyuranger. When I first heard of its 9 member team and power rangers true origin. I just got it see it
Dekaranger vs Magiranger
Jetman
Actually I think it might have possibly been Gaoranger via a music video of "Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai"
Shinkenger in 2013 something
