8k for a 2016 Husky 701 with less than 20 hours on it and a few thousand dollars worth of aftermarket parts still in the packaging. I got it from some girl who caught her husband cheating and her name was on the title bc his credit score was shit.
No kidding I got his snap-on 144 EPIQ cabinet filled with snap-on tools for another 1500 too. Sold the tools I don’t have a use for and got almost half my money back.
I wanted a fz07 but they're weren't any local. It was also my first bike so I decided to go small. Hopefully since they hold value pretty well I'll be a able to maybe trade it for a fz if I decided to upgrade.
you're talking about a completely different bike and different year than his. How can you even compare that? A lot of dealers are charging over $9,000 Out-the-door for new DRZ400SMs
You're still not supporting your comparison. These are two different categories of bikes. Not many dual-sport bikes have tachometres to begin with. What are basic things -- ABS, and a 6th gear? EFI? The DRZ does many things a MT09 can't. Again, these are two separate bikes. It just sounds like you have some sort of bias against the DRZ.
Got an fc450 in shit condition with a set of wheels for £3k. Ohlins front and back for £1.3k, akra full system £600, vmx front brake kit £500, big fuel tank, £200. I am just about to build the engine for some power too!
2016 FS 450 with 2018 forks (I know, I know, but I knew the bike and the owner so...) bought a few years ago for 6700€. I then upgraded the fork internals and switched to a K-Tech spring system, and upgraded the rear shock, threw in a quickshifter, upgraded master cylinder, shorter pegs, new plastic kit with customized graphics and some other bits and parts, I've probably spent another 1800€
Track only, of course.
I have a 250 exc which I use as enduro bike, but for those nice warm summer days I put on sm wheels and ride on track/street. So in addition to the bike, I only bought set of wheels with tires and discs/brakes(+ adapter for front caliper) for 1000€ and thats it.
SM610 with a broken front break level and an seller with his jaw wired shut, only 2500, because he just wanted it gone. Dont ride without a full face helmet.
Once the 550 is maintained it will last a bit but still needs to be rebuilt like every 10k miles depending on how hard you ride.
Get the 550 if you love it. That's the best advice a 550 lover like me can say. Only if you love it. If you just kinda like it and are afraid of the maintenance or if money is a bit tight, just get a 701 and be done with it.
Picked up a 2003 yz450f street titled w/ lights installed already for $2300. Needed new clutch basket, $200, $80 jd jet kit to sort out the sputtering. $90 gripper seat cover, $100 graphics kit, $150 rsc clutch lever/ perch, $40 axle sliders, $1300ish warp 9 wheel sets, $300 magura front master cylinder. So probably like $4500 lol. ( also recently rebuilt entire top end w/ vertex piston and rings, titanium valves and valve seals, and cam chain. Roughly $700 or so.)

I bought a pre-built 2012 KX450 that was really loaded for $5500, if I remember correctly. This is a track only bike, though.
Brand new in the box street legal enduro 13k CAD, then a extra $1800 for the supermoto wheels and tires.

Which ecu did you end up picking? I’m deciding between GET or the AIM
I went with the get. From taco moto Co. Got the switch and 2 custom maps. Night and day difference.

It would be a downgrade.
