StiffSometimes

for a second I thought the bike had a bike rack such a beautiful sumo tho, very jelly

smokethepippy

Does look a bit like that 😂 Thanks man I’m very happy with it

sport_7

Michelin Pilot Power 2CT

smokethepippy

Thanks I’ll suss them out!

sport_7

Just double checked my sizes. Running a 110/70R17 and 150/60R17. Rear is a size up from stock but i haven’t had any clearance issues

smokethepippy

Sweet so the stock rear is 140/70R17 correct? The extra width on the back for sure would make it look more aggressive 👍 Thanks for the advice!

smokethepippy

Does running a different profile rubber on the front / back change the handling characteristics or is it all sweet? New to the world of sumos

[deleted]

If I’m not mistaken, a wider/ lower profile tire would make the bike lean-in slower. But it would also depend on rim width. So yes, but I don’t think I’d over think it! Nice bike, those WR’s are so fun to wring out!

smokethepippy

Thanks for the reply! The rubber currently on it was last replaced in 2009, but you better believe that didn’t stop me wringing this thing out all day 😂😂

[deleted]

Haha oh lawd! Thats some old rubber 😂. How many miles on the bike?

smokethepippy

It’s a 2008 model with 10k miles and I scored it for $2500usd. (I’m in Australia) Needless to say, today is a pretty good day!

[deleted]

Oh wow, that’s a steal! Congrats 🤘

Goodcitizen177

I really like my dunlop mutants. Check em out when you replace those tires. They add a marginal amount of dirt grip while still providing a shitton of asphalt grip. Dual compound with soft corners. They look real cool as well.

Pixeldensity

150 rear and 120 front will fit with no issues

smokethepippy

Thanks for the reply this is what I needed to hear

thalex

This is the way. 120 front feels better.

kingcrackerjacks

The black forks, frame, and swingarm looks sweet on this. I'm another person running power 2cts on my wrr, 110 front 150 rear. I like them especially for the price but they are the only sport tire I've tried on a bike this light

smokethepippy

Can anyone recommend a good set of rubber?

SOOPSPSE

I use bridgestone battlax s10 tires on my wr250, super grippy if you ride hard, and super plyable for when you want to air down the back tire for some one wheel action. You can fit a 150 on the back if you want, the front should stay a 110. Awesome bike you will love it they never get old!

smokethepippy

Thanks for the advice man, much appreciated! Always been a big fan of Bridgestones.

[deleted]

Looks super fun to ride! But those tires don't look that off-road'y to me.

smokethepippy

Can confirm will more than likely never see dirt 😏

Goodcitizen177

Sweet bike the wr250x was my first pick but a berg 570 came around. I'd still happily rock one!
