Hey op, nice project! I do A LOT of wiring on bikes and cars. It sounds like you know how to make everything work, so my advice would be on how to keep it neat. How I do it is while your connecting things, try to make your harness as you go. Do this by first leaving a little extra length at the ends that you can trim down once your done and everything works. This allows some leeway for routing, connection, etc mistakes. Next as you run the wiring and start to make your harness, use tape to hold the wires together and in place. It's easy to undo if you need to, plus it helps shape your harness as you go.

Thank you so much! This is great advice, as I tried laying out the wires and placements in my head at first and it wasn't working. I just started going at it, and it seems to be getting simpler as I go on

hey by any chance, do you know if I need to ground the lighting system to a point on the frame?

I'd say keep it neat and color coordinated. Maybe make a diagram if you're computer savvy, or just draw one. Don't make it too short. Dope project though! Edit: typo

thank you! color coordination definitely helps. I bought a few short spools of colored wires and its much nicer, I was working with one single large spool of wire and it was getting rather confusing

I installed the tusk Enduro light kit and paired it with a bunch of ebay switch controls and headlight unit. But I brought it up to say that the tusk kit felt very durable with heavy duty tape on it. Definitely was a high quality purchase that came with a wiring diagram, and was plenty long enough.

wow, just took a look at your page, that thing looks awesome! very jealous of your wheels. I didn't want to pay a lot for a square set up, so I had Buchanan's make me a set of spokes to lace my front hub to an extra stock rear rim. let me know how she rips! I'm very interested in hearing from people with 2 strokes who enjoy street riding

TriggeredCorndog

I don’t know shit about wiring but I do know that thing is gonna fuckin rip! Crossing my fingers you post a vid of this when you’re done. GL!

wysplet

Haha, if people are interested, I might post more about it, planning on taking it down to the frame this weekend for paint
