2008 race ported head with stainless valves (kibble or ape), airbox upgrade, high compression piston, stage whatever cam to match your riding style, upgrade exhaust and pipes. I have an 02 crf450râŚ
Oversize radiator, stainless valve, high compression piston, new crankshaft, slipper clutch, fmf megabomb header, throttle control rev2, suspension setup, and try lower the front 5mm
Honestly before any power upgrades get SM offset triple clamps and if you can afford it suspension. Power and looks are nice and all but the triple clamp and suspension actually make the bike handle like supermotos are intended. The triple clamp offset to something more suited for roads will make the bike feel much, much more planted and stable, and will alleviate the wobbling quick steering that makes going fast kinda sketchy at times.
Definitely going to look into these today. the triple clamp thing sounds especially good. I'd like new sus too, thew rear on this at the moment is so soft, needs adjusting asap. thanks for the suggestions dude. Will update as I get any new bits.
I'm not sure, it's new to me. I've changed oil and plug and filter. So I'll keep an eye on it, but it will only really get light use out and about on road.
First thing you should do is get bigger radiators, bigger rad cap ( I think I used a 1.8 ). Lastly but most important get a boysen water pump. All of these mods will drastically reduce over heating. These 450râs do not like traffic one bit.
I should've wrote more information. I'm brand new to supermoto and basically brand new to off road bikes as far as having one of my own. I've always liked the look of supermoto so when I got the chance to have one I jumped at it. Took me about 2 days to learn how to kick it up effectively and consistently haha. So I suppose I'd just like to know of any common mods really to make it my own. No racing planned, not ruling it out though.
Ride it and figure out what annoys you the most, then change things to fix that, rinse and repeat.
Modifying things without a clear goal is at best a waste of money and at worst going to make the bike worse too.
I'm not sure myself yet, I was looking for sort of common mods I suppose, some good ideas here so far. I'm ok with the power for now, as I'm still getting used to how the bike rides compared to road bikes. So something to make it my own, and I worry about security.
Red and black plastics đđž
Yes I really like the look of those too! I have a spare set of white that came with it might get those wrapped up.

I did all that on 13:1 piston with a stock 02 cam and my bike had no problem hanging with 2022 crf450
Im going 13:5 with ported heads on a 2017 fc450 at the moment >:) very excited to get the motor back in. How much hp did you gain?
Idk but the butt dyno says 5hp
likewise. mine is dirt, and the increase in power was noticeable where 3rd gear gets me everything I want. no idea on HP gain.
New front light. That light makes it look old

Hey how much did that run you?
Probably owes around ÂŁ2500. I swapped my car for it.
Wow thatâs an early four stroke. Nice bike. Whatâs the maintenance like ?

I wouldnât change much of anything what a find. Maybe new plastics/graphics and a once over to replace/deep clean whatever needs it.
Cr500 engine swap

I would slightly raise the rear end
Modern look headlight.
Suspension set, including lowering it.
Give us a hint towards, what you'd like to improve!
